FM22's Best Wonderkids

- It is rare that a video can be the same every year and yet also be something everyone looks forward to finding out, every year. Wonderkids though are a different matter. Every year when the full Football Manager game comes out I scour the globe to find the best 20 wonderkids in the game. The players that will almost always be gods on FM22, that will steal champions leagues from you and laugh while doing it.
This is not the bargain wonderkid list. It is not a list of wonderkids you may reasonably sign or a list of wonderkids you have not heard of. These are objectively the best wonderkids on the planet according to FM22. If you can sign one, I would highly recommend it, because their attributes are going to shoot up like Dogecoin without the crash. Not that I have any idea what that is but I definitely think what I just said was right.

Ricky-Jade Jones has done brilliantly on lone at my Wrexham save, Dinosaur DC Wheater on a free has had 7.7 average rating Vanorama National and 8.14 in league 2.

But as a matter of fact Livramento will still cost you 30m+clauses at the beginning of the game, which is far from accessible for most clubs.
That's even above a lot of the top clubs transfer budget, so even they would need to sell someone and free up the money.
Also, a couple of years back there were several PA 150+ wonderkids you could get for less than a mill - that might still be utopic for most third tier clubs (although some of them were willing to move there), but realistic for second tier clubs.
I'd say below 10m is pretty accessible for a guaranteed wonderkid. Below 5m is brilliant and below 1m is a day 1 move.

Moukoko has a similar youth team record to what Cherno Samba had. Any FM vets out there (though it was Championship Manager at the time) will most likely remember his name, and will possibly remember how his real life career panned out. Interesting to see which way Moukoko goes, but I wish him well.
samba played for millwall and cadiz, wasn't playing first team games for dortmund at 16, pretty sure he'll be fine

Moukoko this year is legitimately the closest thing to a cheat code I can remember in FM. I had him up top with Isak and Madueke and he made them look Championship standard in my NUFC team (23/24 season). Best 90m I ever spent
Pedri is insane, at 18 looks like a fully developed player.
Even he wouldn't grow in attributes he has the ability to be a starter at a UCL winning side.

I can tell you if Wirtz had the english nationality, he would be way better rated. Look up his current stats in the Bundesliga: in 13 games (9Bundesliga, 4 Europa League) he has 7 goals and 13 asissts. Thats some messi lvl shit here.

i’m a huge dortmund fan but he’s still up there for top 3 youngster in the league w bellingham and musiala and i’d say that all 3 are pretty tough to rank w each other. my bias is prob the only reason i’d put bellingham on top but there’s def an argument for any of them being the best of the 3
Just think in a few years the German national team will have Moukoko, Adeyemi, Wirtz, Havertz and Musiala…potentially all starting. That’s scary AF

England-France-Germany-Spain are all very scary. England have Foden, Rice, Rashford, and Sancho will be more experienced and Grealish in his prime. France with Camavinga, Mbappe, Tchouameni, Maignan. German with the players you listed. Spain with Pedri, Gavi, Nico, Fati, Yeremi Pino, even Bryan Gil

I had Benjamin Sesko in FM21, and as a 18-20 year old AF, he scored me 60 goals in 80 games as Kaiserslautten in the 2nd and 3rd leagues in Germany, before being sold for 80 million dollars, which brought in 3 of the most talented German Wonderkids, including 2 17 year olds, that allowed me to not only stay in the Bundesliga, but place 4th in my first season. Now that Sesko has received a bit of an improvement, he could be a FANTASTIC goalscorer for you at all levels.
Love the comparisons with Messi for the top players. Worth noting that prime Messi got to a CA of 199 (5 or 6 years ago)

Pedri played a full senior league season with Las Palmas and went straight into the lineup with the senior team at Barca

Not quite sure how an American dude became my “go to” guy for FM tips…but keep up the excellent work!
I got promoted with a Championship club and spent two years trying to sign Adeyemi who despite being on about £9k p/w said my team wasn't big enough.
Yet Dortmund put Moukoko up for loan and when I made an offer they insisted there was an optional fee included. I negotiated it to £18m up front with another £18m in instalments.
Despite him not actually doing all that well during the season I managed to make it permanent and he is dangerous in his second season with the club. 4 goals and 6 assists in 11 games from the right wing.
My only struggle was Lucca, took him 22 games to score 1 goal but he is slowly settling in and he is currently top scorer with 6 goals.
I have signed Lunin £3.7m, Dael Fry £3.4m, Nico £3.8m, Evander £8m, Kelechi Nwakali £4m, Moukoko £36m, Matias Arezo free, Lorenzo Lucca £5.8m and its turned Blackburn from mid-table Championship to chasing Champions League football in two seasons.
Nico is doing wonders for me in Barcelona, great box to box/deep laying playmaker
Angelo is the youngest player to score in a Libertadores match ever, and that is from a club whose legends came into the scene from a really young age historically (Pele, Robinho, Neymar, etc).
If anyone is curious, the FM Current Ability (CA) to FIFA Overall Rating (OVR) conversion is roughly CA/3 + 30 =OVR. So a CA of 180 would be like an OVR in FIFA of 90.
200 PA = 97 OVR (Better than Messi)
190 = 93 (De Bruyne and Lewandowski)
180 = 90 (Benzema and Van Dijk)
170 = 87 (Ederson and T. Muller)
160 = 83 (Hakimi and A.Davies)
150 = 80 (Azpilicueta and F. Torres)
140 = 77 (L. de Jong and Sissoko)
130 = 73 (Bas Dost and Gavi)
120 = 70 and so on...
I would also say that FIFA is generally more generous than FM with their ratings.

You need to look up the youth stats for babyJürgen Klinsmann; he'd knock that lad into a cocked hat. Scored over a hundred goals one season including 16 in one match. Lad knew where the net was he did.

It is fun watching this, knowing full well I will be able to sign none of them in my non league Gateshead save - at least for a good 5-8 years
I ve done several start up saves to see some of those wonderkids having high potentials and finally got moukoko around 192 pa, moriba around 179, fabio Silva 177. Now i am playing with this save and in my second season with a turkish team Trabzonspor, I could loan moukoko for 1.5 years with an option to buy for 65m. I ve been saving up money till then and would be my best transfer ever, no worries.
Adeyemi is nuts on FM I can confirm. Signed him for Stuttgart and he fired us into the top 4 in season 2. I broke the bank for him and he was the difference maker
bought him for Porto in my second season for less than 20M. easily one of the best players in the game at that price point

Livramento isn't THAT accessible at Southampton. English tax comes into play heavily.
Livramento is one of those players that even if he doesn't fully develop is still insane. For me, he ended up on the race for Premier League player of the season having played played 30 games, 1 goal, 2 assists and 2 motm, 7.45 average rating. Absolutely insane, despite not having that much end product

My Man City scouts found Angelo and I signed him whilst he was still 16. He now counts as not only Home Grown but raised at club :D
He's not at this level but Karim Konate, 17yo striker from ASEC Mimosas is definitely worth a look. Got him at Ranheim in my Norway nation builder. 20 apps, 17 goals, 11 assists. Got him for less than 20k, already linked with 2-3mil moves.
Edit: probably not CL level but definitely worth a look outside the big 5 leagues

Yusuf Demir is great in the game he does wonders in my Roma Side. I bought him for 13.75 M Euros and now his value shows 62-73 M Euros. He is a great deep lying forward / false nine or an attacking midfielder.

In my 2nd season with Newcastle, I got offered Livramento for Matty Longstaff (Who I put on transfer list because of demanding to play a certain role to renew his contract - which I HATE) This was the most bizarre transfer offer I ever received and I have been playing since CM 95/96. As soon as Livramento joined he is already valued above 120mil, insane. This is a beta save by the way. Move along Kyle Walker Peters, new sheriff in town.

sesko is amazing. signed him for 17m for napoli and sold him 3 seasons later for 146m. the season before i sold him he scored 31 goals in 35 games.

Will you be doing tactics testing again this FM? If so, could I ask if I could send you my tactic? I've been using it since I started my save, but with just getting promoted to the Championship. I could use some advice, to avoid the drop. Because realistically were not strong enough, to compete in the championship. Were riding the wave, of back to back promotions. We only just scraped promotion last season by winning the league, so any advice would be appreciated. If I could share my tactic with you
It's 2025, I got promoted on 2022 with a second division club in Spain. I signed Yeremi Pino for 40M. He has won player of the month 2 times so far, amazing.
Adeyemi has been incredible for me in my newcastle save, already scored 50 and he’s only been with me for just over a season

In my Arsenal save I bought from United for about £25million a few years in. He's been a good back-up for Saka so far (7 goals 11 assits mostly off the bench)

Anybody tried Lorenzo Lucca from Pisa (Serie B Italy)? This guy is amazing! Striker, only 20 at the start of the game, 201 cm, 17 heading and jumping reach, 16 finishing, pretty good speed for the size too. I managed to get him for 5M euros + 20% fee on the next sale and he's already worth 25M after 2 games where he scored 3 goals and 2 assists. Use him as a target man and watch all the crosses come his way!

Slightly confused about the range system and how that changes once the database is loaded. From the video is seems like prior to loading a game and building the database of players, all of these wonderkids have a PA that falls within the ranges listed. Is it correct that after the database is built, those ranges have been replaced by a randomly selected value within the starting range? Are those randomly assigned PAs actually the final PA and that's just hard coded for that database or can it still got up or down within the initial range?

Got a bayern team in my 2nd season with the rangick like tactic, won the sextuple in season 1-2 (with the cwc and the eu super cup in the 2nd season) with lewandoski getting 59 goals in 57 games and now have a squad with some of the best wonderkids such as moukoko Adeyemi mbappe musialia camavinga etc etc broke some many records think in 5 years ill have won the sextuple 5 times over so try a bayern save for dominance imo 👍👍👍
