WAKING UP AT 7AM for a week with CHRONIC FATIGUE. Using a puzzle alarm clock to wake up with ME/CFS.

- This week I tried to wake up and get out of bed at 7am every day. Waking up has always been difficult for me i am not a morning person, but since my Myalgic encephalomeylitis diagnosis around 6 years ago i have found it nearly impossible to wake up, it can be physically painful for me. This week I used the Alarmy app to help me, through its puzzles, physical activities and bar-code scanning features. I wanted to try waking up early for a week because i know that i feel significantly better in terms of my mental health when i wake up early in the morning. I have difficulty with depression and waking up i find it makes me want to stay in bed all day but for me this is the worst thing i can do to feel better! I find it easier to be productive and to keep my mood up when i get up in the morning and start my day off with breakfast and my medication!
How to you wake up in the morning? do you find it as difficult as I do??

i have the problem of waking up later and falling asleep later and later until i have gone a full 24 hour cycle
If I get up early my fatigue gets WAY worse around 11 and I will fight it all day if I don’t just give in and sleep. Nice to know there’s other people out there who benefit from it.
thats interesting, we are all so different! Make sure you do what is best for you!
@@ElinorBrown it’s hard for people to understand that getting up at 10-12 isn’t a ‘lazy’ choice but a physical requirement the number of times I’ve explained to someone that I cannot get up for something at 8 is kinda nuts.

Hi Elinor, very interesting to hear someone the same as me! I feel mentally more stable if I wake up early, I just feel very tired. But if I sleep in I feel more flu like and hungover feelings and generally feels 100 times worse throughout the day both physically and mentally. I always wondered why this happened to me I never heard anyone else suffer this till now. Nice to know I’m not alone

I been waking up 7 am for a month now it feels I still have hard days and yes sometimes I lay in bed for awhile still working on that.🙂
I guess I’m really lucky that unless I have an appointment I’m able to sleep in until my body is ready to get up 10/10:30am. I’m unable to work but I take care of the house, I live with my mom and I’m on disability, she jokes I’m her “house daughter” like a housewife I do similar things. But I struggle a lot if I have to be up before 8am that seems to be the cut off for me any earlier is very very difficult

I also feel mentally better if I get up earlier. It's a fine balance with fatigue though! I definitely need a barcode scanner. I find myself spending too much time on tiktok.
I completely agree!! social media is definitely a problem for me as well!!
I get really bad flareups of my illnesses if I don't get at least 12 hours of sleep, idk what to do because its interfering with my school life!
