Wood has been used all over the world, not because there was a one-world civilization, but because it is convenient. The same for spears, arrows, knives, stones, aqueducts, plows, fences, jars. Today, we don't rely on stone to build, so we don't know much about it, from practice. If we had only stone, and had to find ways to work with it, it might soon be easier to understand some of the ancient stone works.

    When I was in high school, I read a short article in Omni magazine. It was only a column or two of text and a picture near the front of the magazine.
    It discussed something called a "cradle". These were found all over the place in Egyptian digs. They were common, made of wood . The article said that these "cradles" were supposed to have some ritualistic purpose. However, this fellow disagreed and showed that four of them, strapped to a stone block, turned the block into a wheel, something easily moved. His theory, although he could prove that it worked, was dismissed because it went against the "accepted science".
    Ever since then, I've questioned "accepted science". It was obvious to me that these items weren't ritualistic. They were too common, to plain, to used and abused. They were tools. But because the authorities couldn't figure out how they were used, these things became religious knick-knacks in their minds and they dismissed them.
    Sounds familiar, huh?

The account says that they were to return to the dust of the ground, but it didn’t say how long it would take. In fact, Genesis 5:4 says that Adam lived to be 800 years old. Similarly, his children and their children lived extremely long times, too, that is until the shortly before the flood when God said man’s days will amount to 120 years. Just IMAGINE what humans could accomplish if we could live for hundreds of years! The technology would be astonishing compared to what we have now. One thing that really bothers me is the stone cuts shown at 9:04 and 9:17. If a civilization had advanced tools that can make these cuts, why the weird placement? Why not stack them evenly like a brick house? This works for us, and we're advanced, right? Do we have anything in modern times (within the last few hundred years) that mimic this seemingly random design?
    My initial thought is "to increase durability." Okay, but what's the PROCESS? Was there intention behind the exact design of every stone before a single stone was even placed, or was it a cut-and-go process where they shaped each stone to fit with whatever it happens to go next to one at a time? A "cut-and-go" situation seems counterintuitive to the amount of credit this civilization would deserve if they had advanced cutting equipment, the ability to move MASSIVE objects, a global knowledge and societal integration resulting in DNA transfer across the globe, and a potential deep understanding of astronomy and the imminent impact. I know it's impossible to compare our society with whatever degree of advancement the ancients were at, but, what would our society look like if we knew a cataclysmic event was imminent? We probably wouldn't be building glass skyscrapers; we'd probably be building, hm... 200 underground cities??
    I know it's a stretch, but these stones remind me of generative/parametric design, like what we see in Autodesk's model of partition panels for aircrafts that use AI to create the most optimal solution. The design itself looks like a total random mess; no human could ever come up with it. But it has the highest durability, lightness, and uses the least amount of material. Or another example would be the brand new Elbphilharmonie, the "acoustically perfect" concert hall, that utilizes parametric design resulting in seemingly random, non-repetitive seashell-like patterns that humans then meticulously recreated physically to line the walls of the auditorium. If an advanced civilization in the future found a chunk of this wall (pretending it was a material that would last 1000s of years, and pretending our civilization experienced an impact event resulting in 100s of years worth of adverse global effects), they would instantly dismiss it as random grooves and patterns carved by crude tools that were "just art or something in some religious temple."
    Of course this is all just speculation, but I think it's important for people to allow themselves to just be creative and let their imagination wander. So what if it's far from reality? The more people do it and collaborate on their ideas, the closer we might actually get one day.

      They may have been hiding the fact that the ancients were knowledgable about building with geopolymers---reconsituted stone that are identical to natural limestone and granite much like modern countertops. If these structures were constructed of anything other than natural limestone, granite, etc, it would be very difficult to hide the fact, considering the amount of excavation and geological analysis present, both private and public, at sites such as this - Egypt or otherwise.
      The idea that certain institutions would obfuscate any sort of theoretical ancient geopolymer technology still leads to the question of *why* said civilizations had a need to construct these facilities, regardless of what they were constructed *with*. Something big happened to do that much damage. And you asked where did the roof go, it's not collapsed onto the floor. I'm pretty sure this place was hit with a bomb/missile of some sort, the blocks were vaporized/ turned to rubble, underneath the water is more than likely small bits of the blocks that were destroyed. Tourism is a big money spinner for Egypt. It's in Egypt's interest to promote the idea that ancient Egyptians built all of these structures. The truth is they were not sufficiently advanced to build these things. These places were built by highly sophisticated people, long before the Egyptians began living in the area. Those people were so advanced that they tap into the earth's energy, and use it to drive things like levitation technology, using sound to cut stone, etc. And they did this all around the world, as similar type of construction can be found elsewhere like South America.

      Yes... why not? What's different about propagating sonar waves through sand as opposed to other low-density media such as earth, water, or any other less-dense substance(s) between the sonar source and any solid (i.e. more dense) rock, metal, or other dens[er] masses/materials which may be present beyond the intervening less-dense media?
      I'm genuinely not sure why you sound so surprised; sonar is an old method, that's true, and there may well be more accurate new techniques, but I'm not very interested in physical science, other than as a useful tool - history and anthropology are my thing, hence my interest in this Channel. If there *_are_* improved new methods which supersede sonar, that's great. But I've never heard sonar considered to be unreliable. Has that now changed, these days...?

    I always wondered about the Osireion, which indeed stylistically fits more with the architecture of certain features on the Giza plateau, notably the temple by the Sphinx and the interior of the Great Pyramid. The fact that the adjacent Temple of Seti bends around the Osireion, and is L-shaped, unlike any other Egyptian temple, would seem to indicate that the Osireion was already there. Counted against that are the fact (as I'm told) that Seti's cartouches have been found on and between blocks of the Osireion, and if they were put there when it was built then it must be from Seti's time. It is done in the style of an earlier period (rather as the Victorians built Truro cathedral to look like a medieval one). The fact that the Osireion's pillars are formed from solid stone blocks rather than segments also doesn't signify much. We know the dynastic Egyptians could cut and move large solid blocks of stone, as their obelisks indicate. They could still do this in Roman times, hence the solid granite pillars of the Pantheon in Rome were cut in Egypt. I daresay the Sphinx is thousands of years older than pharaonic civilisation, and there probably was a lost civilisation leaving a legacy in far-flung regions, but whether the Osireion was the work of this lost civilisation is something I tend to doubt.

      No, it would not be difficult nor expensive. We don't do it, because it is stupid to build from rocks. You now bad heat transfer properties and stuff. Today we need gravel more than rocks, so we grind the bedrock into gravel. But if you look at tombstone industry, you can see we can cut very precise rocks with very little money. Trucks with air filled tires are not the best to move very heavy objects, but truck with tracks do that very easily.
      Please educate yourself! It really opens great potential!

    • @N3ptuneflyer
      @N3ptuneflyer Před 5 lety +17

      Building from rocks is one thing, but the size of these rocks are unimaginable. They weigh over 100 tons, to put that in perspective most cranes can only lift 20 tons. It would require special equipment and lots of planning to lay stones of these size with this level of precision. It would not be an easy task. Of course we could do it, but it would take a lot of money and planning to pull it off. If we weren't allowed to use our fancy vehicles and only use bronze equipment, which they probably didn't even have bronze yet, then it would take years, and we still wouldn't have it as precise as they made them. Look at how clean those corners are, and how well those pieces fit together, they are obviously using a technology that is beyond their era. Even when you saw how that guy was cutting the rock, it was a horribly rough cut, and there is no way they would make the measurements so perfect that way. Also how do you explain how it looks so similar to the structures in Peru? I think you are way underestimating how impressive this accomplishment is, especially considering they are using granite!

You could look at the walls built by later generations and clearly see something was not right --that knowledge was somehow lost some where along the way. Also, at Machu Pichu, I was gifted a private showing off the tourist path, of a towering, huge obelisk of a smooth, black granite rock that was partially in the ground and out, at a slight angle. When you touched it, your whole body began buzzing with energy. And though we were two miles above a river, you could literally hear it at that obelisk also. It was freaky, but in a good way. He also added that many who did this were your typical tourist and it could be shut down do to this. my group consisted of 12 others and the owner of the retreat who was a white guy that was mentored by a older shaman who left his land to this guy after he past away and also the owner brought in 2 pairs of shamans that were highly recommended by the shaman before he past away to do the ceremonies, as well as keeping the same workers that were there, which he gave a big pay raise to them. One reason i chose this retreat was because he helped the villagers that lived near by and also bought property that was run down and was fixing it to make it a school for local villagers so that their kids had an education. he also started a replanting of the rainforest that was being torn down and bought an extra 10 acres. so the point is that these sites might be shut down and only a handful of people will be allowed to bring guest to see these places, which i would not mind because when we went we were able to roam freely and explore places that many were not allowed to go

It is known the Inca were very much interested in gold, but what is know well-known is it was shown how, with just molten gold, a form on a raft, and a small body of water, a group of people could make a gold, parabolic mirror of large size, and since gold is so reflective, such a mirror could possibly been used to harness sunlight for directed melting of stone.

    How the big blocks were created: they poored the stone "cement" into huge sacs on site and when the stones hardened they cut away the sacs when the stones were hard enough (hence the perfect fit). They didnot sawed the stones at all just the sticking out parts and those were grinded away as sandstone is an easy to sculped material. Happy to be of help. Kathy van Bommel

I started be more open to the idea, and thought there was a good chance it was true. To know for a fact humans keep lying to others just for power and wealth is sickening and dark. Just look at the most secret government agencies across the world! CIA, Mossad, Freemasons, the Vatican, Muslim brotherhood, Mi6, and many others. They all gain power through keeping secrets, yet want to spy and know everything about everyone else! It's creepy to me that some Joe Blow, knows more about me than I do at this moment in time. In the 90's I grew up thinking my thoughts were "free" thoughts and ideas, which can only be from the free will of the universe, but now to find out other humans have manipulated the masses to a certain degree. We can buil those buildings nowadays with the current technology if we really wanted. we can customize machines to lift enormous weights and we there are machines already that can cut with that or more precision. BUT we built with steel because is faster and cheaper... also it will be gone a few hundred years from now. I guess most of their buildings are gone too and only their temples remain even to this day. Our churches are more about beauty than durability. All that will remain from this times will be bunkers, and the people from the future might think we were a subterranean race. Maybe the structures we are finding were their bunkers too.

  • @WranglerSlim
    @WranglerSlim Před 5 lety +7

    What impresses me the most about ancient structures like this is just how perfectly squared those stone blocks are. Just getting a perfectly flat surface requires precise tools, which can only be made by using other precise tools. Tying a weight to a string and using the string as a straight edge can only do so much. At some point, you need a machine that can either run a cutting tool along a straight path, or move the material across a cutting/abrasive surface, in order to make precision carving more efficient.
    It wouldn't surprise me if those little bumps on the sides of some of those huge stone blocks have something to do with positioning the blocks in a cutting machine of sorts. Plumb lines could have been used as guides to hand-carve a perfectly flat grinding block, with guides to keep stone slabs properly positioned against that grinding stone during cutting. After that, men or horses/oxen could tow stone slabs back-and-forth across the grinding stone to grind it to the desired flatness. Would be much faster than using plumb lines and hand chisels to create perfectly flat surfaces. Another possibility would be using heavy grinding blocks that run along a straight track.
    My guess is we'll never find their technology, because either it was a closely-guarded technological secret at the time, and as such not well documented, or it was such common knowledge that no-one bothered to write it down because everyone knew how to do it.

    As an Egyptian , living daily in the middle of these impressive monuments makes me think and analyse about how it all began.
    been amazed by these monuments for not less than 30 years, and till this day it still amazes me & excite me when I see them.
    I believe that the pyramids, sphinx & the Osirion & sirapium are much older than they are attested ,by scientific evidence , just check the 40,000 vessels found in djoser pyramid inscribed by the titles of kings from 1st & 2nd dynasty which didn’t have the tool necessary, but still they were built by Egyptians not aliens.
    If we can’t trace the pyramid origins, we can for sure trace Egyptian civilisation progress in architecture of temples, tombs, man power, statues, arts, literature, medicine, law, math, geometry, religious beliefs & most important above all…..

    • @maximquirk5492
      @maximquirk5492 Před 6 lety +2

      @ringo stark, If you're talking about a former equator, perhaps consider a Polar Shift? Which would to an extent explain the flood. Or 'Pole Reversal' as nasa likes to call it because the former would likely cause a mass panic. Its interesting to see how colonisers have drastically redesigned the landscape of the areas they populated. Introducing foreign plants/ animals that over time restructure the climate of the area (rain forestry in say an arid location that would otherwise be highly prone to bushfires (replacing adapted with unadapted vegetation) or cloud seeding in order to increase rain flow, and the supplement of water to the general populations). The integration of comfort in place to survive, has consequences.
      Of course, the above, is my theory. Extracted over time from research and observation. Locally and internationally. Perhaps another piece to our puzzle?

    Very informative, my theory on the cutting techniques used are as follows. (currently paused at 3 minutes 59 seconds, just in case you cover this later) There have been found but never displayed openly, large scale tuning forks. Some Hieroglyphs show tuning forks attached to rods with what looks like a chisel. In theory the tines of the tuning forks when struck would oscillate side to side creating an up and down motion with the handle of the same frequency. By changing the forks you increase and or decrease the cutting power. It would be cool to hear your take on this. Thank you.

    If the ancient civilizations had reciprocating saws (and they probably did), it would have probably taken people a few days to figure out that large circular saws would cut stone many times faster and straighter. Workers could have powered huge circular saws using bicycle-type mechanisms, or horses or oxen could have powered them by being lead in a circular path. If the civilizations of 3000 or 4000 years ago did not have the required stone cutting technology, then how did civilizations thousands of years before them have it? Curiously, the past few thousand years of mankind's history is categorized by mankind's ability to make ever hotter fires. Copper, which is very soft, has a low melting point. Tin and Zinc, which are both harder than Copper, have higher melting points than Copper. They allow brass and bronze to be produced by combining them with molten Copper. And Iron (and later steel and even later stainless steel), which is harder still, has an even higher melting point. The discovery of these things define the beginnings of the Stone Age, the Copper Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Obviously, the Industrial Age and the Information Age follow those eras.
