I loved Angel calling the folding screen a “paper tapestry” - I totally sympathize with momentarily forgetting the word for something, and that substitution was one of the best workarounds I’ve heard! I knew exactly what they were referring to.
I wasn't ready for SungWon's Franziska, and I'm still not ready, and I'll never be ready 😳
Conversational engagement: You actually could have a reason to buy a handgun illegally in the United States, provided you needed one relatively quickly depending on the state you're in. It's still a bad idea for a number of reasons that I was going to expound on, but I thought better about giving too many details here. With a rough time window from three days to thirty days, the short time period Gumshoe pointed out *WOULD* be very hard to obtain a firearm legally in a fair number of places. Especially on little to no notice!
This section of the game always felt really flimsy to me, depending on the height of the two, plus the nebulous distance at which gunpowder burns could exist. I get what they're going for, but even knowing the facts of the case I couldn't have given the right answers here. I feel Angel's pain
This is going to be MONTHS late, but I think where Angel is having trouble is they're thinking abstractly rather than concretely. The game wants the player to think like a lawyer, arguing with concrete evidence and focusing on the reasoning of others via perspective taking.
Ace Attorney Fun Fact!
Dr. Turner Grey's name may be a reference to the human anatomy textbook Gray's Anatomy or to the medical drama television series Grey's Anatomy, the name of which is an amalgam of the name of the main character (Meredith Grey) and the aforementioned medical textbook.
Grey's almost certainly a reference to Grey's Anatomy, but "Turner Grey" also sounds like "turn her grey," likely as a reference to stressing out Mimi at work
@@carolinethompson3328 That is another possible reference and is stated in the wiki too!
Another interpretation I saw was that it could be referencing weather 'turning grey', and what's the first thing Dr Grey complains about? The weather report!
@@antibeachballsociety Oh that's funny
23:18 Wait, is Udgey brushing his teeth during a murder trial???
I don’t think the world can take a _Gotta Be Lotta!_ TV show, but I guess we have no choice tomorrow….
Haha, SungWon’s screams for Gumshoe and Steve’s for Phoenix are always such a delight for the voice acting.
And I liked the whispering, Angel. When you starting your ASMR channel? ❤
Poor Gumshoe is always getting into trouble and getting verbally maligned by the prosecution 😭
Turner Grey curving his bullets
10:16 OBJECTION! Gaslighting
Do they not have ballistics analysis in AA universe? The police should be able to tell us scientifically the distances, speeds , and trajectories of any bullets shot from the gun they recovered, provided they have crime scene measurements from the bullet holes
It seems that they did, but only for the bullet that killed Dr. Grey. It was a sloppy mistake on part of Gumshoe and the police not check the bullet, that's why Franny is scrambling to explain it away.
These drop right at the start of my work shift. Always a treat!
Spoilers for TGAA
SungWon, I hope you let Steve voice McGilded xD
Just out of abundance of caution, spoilers for this episode
The contradiction of the folding screen really doesn't make sense. He was actively dying when he fired the shot, that he missed by a lot is completely plausible. In this scenario, all that would have to happen for the two bullet holes to line up is for Maya's left arm to be down at her side with the sleeve hanging down. If she was "preparing to strike", she could even have had her knees bent ready to jump forward. The only thing that's actually contradictory is the EXACT RANGE at which she's theoretically standing... and that could be explained by her pushing him away, and him being further towards the door, as von Karma theorized. Great case, but IMO this is a huge hole in the logic.
I’ve never been here so fast wth 😂🎉 let’s go new eppppp
We love seeing sungwon dread having to deal with lotta
Whoa 😳
I bet Lotta is going to be so dramatic tomorrow 😂
WELCOME TO JAPANIFORNIA :3 (specific location of america, it supposedly takes place in LA for some reason, right? Please correct me if Im wrong lmao)
I don’t think the localizations ever specifically name the setting as LA but that’s usually accepted as what would make the most sense: the time difference with Paris that was established in Case 1-1 would put them somewhere in the Pacific Time zone, Los Angeles is the largest and most sprawling US city in that region (making it the most comparable to Tokyo), and it’s a place that gets earthquakes (which is plot-relevant for 1-4).
…and of COURSE we all know LA is famous for its proximity to traditional Japanese villages, right?
Oh maaaan I wish Franziska von Karma would punish meeeeee
