Thank you for sharing about your struggles with meeting expectations while being chronically ill. I also have a chronic illness and I am working on not being so hard on myself if I don’t meet my own expectations because it can be so easy to fall into comparing myself to other artists or feeling like I’m behind. Watching your videos makes me feel inspired to go paint!
It can be so hard to not compare yourself to others and when your abilities are limited in any way it feels extra hard so I get that! I’m so glad you’re feeling inspired that’s my whole goal! Thank you so much!
Fellow chronic illness creative here!! I’ve only just started having enough energy to make art again but have already overdone it and am burned out 😵💫 The comparison thing is something I reaaaallly struggle with. We’ve got this!

"Hi" I have indeed watched all of your videos and enjoyed them a lot. However I can't follow your advice to go outside. I am bedridden and stuck in a tiny flat without any nature around. I have been binging your videos and creating along with them, and I think that you're drive to do the big painting, even if it didn't get finished on deadline, spreads through the screen.

I struggle so much w meeting my own expectations (and I have adhd so there's an extra subconscious or whatever pleasure in blowing past the deadline and/or waaay overestimating what I can do). Coupled w having chronic illness too it sucks. From an outside perspective I am amazed at how much you do monthly!! You are making great things in diverse ways and places and making space for fun. I know the head torture of self analyzing...but I'm seriously impressed;)
Thank you so much! I’m not diagnosed but seriously suspect there’s some ADHD or some neuro divergence goin on up there so I feeeel the blowing past deadlines and overestimating by an insane amount hahah. I’m glad it at least appears I have it together somewhat :-)

i bought the big chinese white and regretted it so bad! so much thinner than the titanium. have you had the same problem?
Yes!! Lol it sucked I just used it to tint colors and got titanium as soon as I could
why paint big if it causes stress? your smaller, illustrative paintings are so utterly charming. or maybe something halfway, like a canvas that's not SO large...? anyway, i've watched all your videos so i guess i'm just here to say hi. :)
