Hand Hammering a Snare Drum

- For those that keep asking, the snare was bought used online from Guitar Center for $30. They said it was a "TKO" brand, but it is not. There was no badge on the drum, most likely because the air vent is missing. A viewer said it is a Tama snare, which I believe it is since Tama has the same style lugs, and they mount their badges on the air vent. So this drum is made by Tama, from my research I believe it is an old Rockstar snare, but Im probably wrong... Also, its 14"x7"

Hand hammer a wood snare
I hammered my old cheap, shitty CB700 snare and now it's my favorite snare. The hammering removed all of the ringyness and made it sound so much drier. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
TAKE THE 100 RIVETS OUT OF THE RIDE AND TEST THE CYMBAL WITH ALL THE HOLES IN IT
Production quality on this channel is really good now.
New favourite video.
What do you think? Did I ruin the snare?
so beautiful
Dude that hammering makes the snare look way better! I didn't think the tone would change either, that's pretty cool. I just might try this with my cheap snare.
I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to be tracking down $50 snare drums on Craigslist, in order to test this out.
Love it! Great job!
Pay attention people
it definitely helped diminish that strange ringiness that cheap steel snare drums have, great job
You really did make that snare sound better, thats awesome! congrats
if you ever make a badge/logo/name for your drum business, i think it should just be your last name... that would be a badass name for a drumset/company yo i just got a new Raouf 5 piece
awesome video man!

Great video as usual, David! I really like the sound after you hammered it. Nice, dry and controlled! Always looking forward to more of your videos!
It's crazy, going through your old vids & seeing all of the mods i've also done, myself. Love the vids. Love the processes. That fuck-uo with the timber was hilarious! Peace
Holy shit, this video made me realize ive been watching since 1000 subs. Seeing you at 250,000+ is mental. Love what you do, never stop. Stay humble
