The reason thermalright are so cheap is because they do their own manufacturing and design unlike other brands who outsouce manufacturing but do the design. This is how brands who don't eye gouge their customers look like. You know 84% of most products price is spent on advertising and marketing instead of making better products for cheaper.
Thermalright have also been in business for 23 years and it's nice to see them dominating the space for those in the know.
Nice videos as always and keep up the good work.

Yep, I know, bud. I remember Thermalright back in the early 2000s, and now they are back with a bang and keep kicking the competitions but in terms of price and performance
Had the argb version of this for a few days fantastic value for money and the supplied fan with halo ring effect is great, better than the cooler master case fans I have. couldn't find a proper review of it till now cheers mate congrats on the 1k subs btw.
Yeah argb version looks real nice and thank you 😊
hey, what's your cpu and temps while using this cooler?
@@seangg4741 I'm using a 7600 under heavy gaming at ultrawide resoultion package is about 65c cores lower though idle temp low 30s , 10 min cinebench run it held firm at 79c.
it's knocked off 20c compared to the stock cooler.
🙂 thanks for the review, theres doesnt seem to be any reviews on this exact model, also what's unique about this cpu air cooler is that its one of the few air coolers that have the air pipes tilted to the back so that u have more room between the fan and the first ram slot, the DARKROCK PX4 also has slanted pipes, and the Fuma 2, maybe theres other models out there but theres not too many but yeah this should be standard to have them slanted back
Thanks for your comment and yes I know and completely agree with you
Nice looking cooler 👀
Thanks bud
really nice looking cooler. price is similar to an AG400 but looks much nicer. The argb version looks nice as well for about the same price
Yep it's a good little cooler and I would of preferred the argb version
Hi, congratulations for the videos, I have a question, Is it better this or a Thermalright BA120? Thanks
No, bud, the BA120 is better and thank you very much
@@WELSHYTECH much better? because the Spirit Evo would suit me better in the case with the ram and I think it get a better shape, I'm also considering the new Arctic 36, all rgb (I Have a Ryzen 5600 Stock and an Asus Rog Strix B550-F with 2xG.Skill TridentZ, very high)
@@Cerino86 the Burst Assassin is built better
Hi grear video btw. Is it ok to install with a msi b550 am4 ?
yes just fine
Please compare to the Thermalright assassin king se 120
OK I have videos to make before ant head2heads but I'll make that video I promise
Does it come with any thermal paste or do you have to buy that separately
Yes it does come with thermal paste I do unboxing at the beginning
Just got this cooler and it performs freakin awesome 55c on i5 12400f under load in hot climate, but the only issue i had is my motherboard only have 12v 4pin header for the rgb and not the 3pin 5v one, is there any solution to overcome this? Iam currently running it with no argb. My mobo is gigabye b760m ds3h
your motherboard does have a ARGB Connector at the bottom of the board
@@WELSHYTECH i checked the mobo again and it turned out to be that i have already used that connector to connect my case fans and i had to use a splitter to connect both. Nice Video btw
@@user-wh1bs6ho8d I replied to you 8 days ago saying you had a argb header bud
I just bought the assassin king for my 5600 and it's working great was only £14.99 for the ARGB version, would it be pretty pointless to return it and get this one?
I see that this one has less heat pipes 4 vs 5, I like the fan though and black design. I don't know what to do haha.
If your current one works then I don't see the point changing it but it's really up to you
@@WELSHYTECH Thanks, yeah I'll probably just keep it, I do like the design of the spirit evo but the king is pretty great too.
currently using the same cooler, idle at ~40C and 60ish when gaming, cpu is 3300x. it's a bit hot considering this is an aftermarket cooler or 3000x series is really that hot?
Nope isn't hot but did you use the included thermal paste that comes with the cooler
@@WELSHYTECH yes, i only dropped around 15deg when gaming, im averaging 73 using stock cooler before
@@seangg4741 its an improvement over the stock cooler but the thermal paste thats included isn't the best stuff id recommend getting new or if your happy the temps are fine
@@WELSHYTECH will try to repaste after a month or so, my idle temp before was around ~45 so i guess theres at least some improvement
@@seangg4741 what cpu have you got
TR is🐐
Definitely
Hi. I would like to install this CPU heatsink on an MSI B760 Pro motherboard, LGA 1700 socket. To install the heatsink, is it necessary to disassemble the motherboard and remove it from the case? or can I replace the stock Intel heatsink directly without it?
you can just replace the cooler no need to take it out of the case
@@WELSHYTECH thanks mate💪
@@AdalJ3X no problem
Wait, you do need access to the back side of the motherboard. So if your case has a cut out then you're fine. If not you'll need to remove the motherboard.
@@maximdelacy1701 if your case has the cut out you will be fine otherwise you will need to remove the motherboard from the case
Is this cooler enough for a ryzen 5 7600x with a rx 7800 xt? Thanks so much!
as long as you ain't overclocking then yes will be just fine bud
Thx for the answer! No oc for that rig. Justo gaming PC with that spec i mentioned with a 750w gold plus psu and 32gb 5400mhz ddr5 ram. The mobo is MSI Tomahawk
@@kwazastudio solid build bud
@@kwazastudiouse 6000 ram for the 7600, you are leaving performance on the table
Hi, my first time building a pc. My cpu have a TDP between 125 watts to 181 watts. Will this Thermalright Assasin spirit enough for it?
what CPU do you have ?
Oh, I forgot to mention, it is the i5 14600K
@@willyliang8101 I mean it Should be fine
amzn.to/3Vm4qnI go for the RGB one has a better fan
@@WELSHYTECH Thank you for the advice! subsribe!
@willyliang8101 thank you and no problem I'm always here
What's the difference between this and non evo spirit?
Not much this is just the most up to date version
@@WELSHYTECH sound, nice 1
This is better than Assasins King 120 SE?
It's basically a rebranded Assassin King bud
Ty 😁
I'm confused. According to you, this cooler - a single tower - is cooler than the "Phantom Spirit 120 EVO", which, afaik, is currently one of the best dual tower coolers on the market. Did I miss something, or do you regularly ignore the ambiant temperature? Because if so, none of your test results mean anything.
You realise that during the testing for the phantom spirit 120 evo it was drawing more power on the cpu the difference between 5w and 10w will definitely impact thermals and its winter almost spring in the UK
@@WELSHYTECH
1. You indeed specified 175W for this and 190W for the Phantom. That's my bad, I'm sorry.
2. Using different wattages makes direct comparisons between coolers impossible. I suggest standardizing your testing methods more.
3. Without ambient temperatures, your test results have no reference point. You should check the room temperature and specify your test results as "above ambient".
