Ich hab Heimweh... und musste feststellen... dass ich faktisch nichts wieder erkannt habe außer das Rokkokoschlösschen und den alten Baum, unter dem ich als Kind schon saß und meine Schulbrote gegessen habe.

How can you make a film of Schwäbisch Gmünd and not show the Marktplatz and old towers? I lived there for years in the fifties, and it was so much more beautiful than your video. You lost the soul of the old town. "Hoimweh gibt's uf Gottes" Erde, Kaum a loid wia dies so schwer."

This film shows you the modern Schwäbisch Gmünd in connection with the flower and garden show. And by the way- there are two webcams installed on the Marktplatz of GD

I remember the bells of Bargau and the four houses in Betringen, and the Cafes Kucher and Greiner; and when the Adler was a good restaurant. I have a beautiful photo of the Marktplatz in my office, when the Bundespost was still there. I do use the web- cams from time to time, but there isn't much worth seeing. My wife has a step in the Johanneskirche Turm. Most of my old friends are dead, or close to it. Tschüß, Malcolm
This short film shows some scenes from the "Landesgartenschau" which took place in summer 2014 in the City of Schwäbisch Gmünd, more precisely the "Remspark". Landesgartenschau is a flower/ garden show which is performed every year by another town within the federal state of Baden Württemberg, Germany. Emanuel Leutze, a history painter, born in Schwäbisch Gmünd emigrated to America in 1859. He celebrated his 200 anniversary this year, that´s the reason why the "Stars and Stripes" are shown on 0:58 s.
Ich finde Schwäbisch Gmünd ist einer der geilsten Städte in Deutschland. Sie ist friedlich und nicht überfüllt.

Ja schwäbisch Gmünd besteht nur aus Rems, Park und goldenen Würfel 😂
