    Ma'am, thank you so much for making this video, I always enjoy your videos, I find them helpful, in here, i knew some of the tricks, but you explained them in detail, in a smooth way so that everyone can understand. Thank you once again, Do you also make tutorials on MS PowerPoint and Excel? I would be delirious if you make tutorials on those programs too. By the way I have Microsoft Offices 2013.

    Yours is by far the best and most helpful video I've seen so far as I try to learn to use word as I create my father's wartime story, all the other videos I've seen go at 100mph whilst your calm,patient,clear voice is just what I needed to help me to absorb the information. The subtitles are also extremely helpful as I kept pausing the video to take notes for future reference. I'm quite sure I'll encounter many obstacles as I move forward with the project but you have been so helpful, despite the distance! Thankyou from Steven in North Wales.UK.

    Thanks Erin for this easy to understand video. I was wondering if it is possible to do 'bulk re-sizing' of photos. I want to include photos in a Membership Directory and would like for them to all be the same or similar size. I have had difficulty eyeballing the sizes when doing one at a time. I look forward to your reply. Thanks again.

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  Před 2 lety

      That is a great question! I am not aware of a method to bulk-resize photos with Word's built-in tools without actually selecting each of the pictures. There are several articles online describing a macro that can help, but I am not sure how reliable that method is, so I hesitate to share any links directly. If I find a more straightforward solution, I will be sure to post about it. Best of luck!

    Hello….do you have a video on how to insert images for the purposes of diagrams and tips for adding arrows & text boxes? I had the unfortunate situation of having about 12 pages typed so far. The first diagram i designed was on around Page 7. When i went back to around page 3 for example to simply edit & add more text on a text only page, to my dismay i realized that by doing that it bumped my diagram on Page 7 and completely jumbled up the photo, arrows, and text boxes. I had to add a blank page and completely redo my diagram. Any help to avoid this happening again would be much appreciated….

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  Před rokem

      Thank you for watching! I don't have a tutorial addressing all those issues, yet. However, one solution would be to put your image, arrows and text boxes together in a Drawing Canvas. The Drawing Canvas will then act as a box to keep the items together as the content above expands. You can access the Drawing Canvas on the Draw tab in the ribbon.

      That's a great question! In Word for Microsoft 365, right-click the image you want to replace and select "Change picture" from the shortcut menu. Then, choose a new picture as you normally would. In most cases, it will be inserted in the same dimensions as the original crop. If you insert an image it is a microdot and can not be expanded to true size What now

      Thank you for watching! I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble inserting your image. I have never encountered that problem, so I'm afraid I don't have a specific solution. However, if you are able to right-click the microdot, select "Size and Position" from the shortcut menu and you may be able to adjust the size from the Layout dialog box. Best of luck!

      Erin One has to go into the setting where you can adjust the Image density to normal (sory something like that) Then the image scales correctly

    this... was absolutely useless to me. I want to know if/how you can crop/cut an image by removing sides, so it can still be large, but square instead of rectangle without squashing or shrinking it
