Yes the choreo was simple and incorporated international sign language that means ‘fun’ ‘dance’ and ‘peace’. Scratching their body while raising the thumb and slightly bending the rest of the fingers means ‘fun’. Moving 2 fingers side to side on top of the palm of the other hand as a stage represents ‘dancing’ and lastly making ‘V’ sign means ‘peace.’”

Today is ARMY birthday. That's why this song was released as gift for their fans n purple is BTS n ARMYS symbolic color representation. That's why to celebrate 8 yrs of fandom they wanted to give happy vibe song bc RM said pandemic shit is messing with people's brain . So we just wanted to give abit of happiness.
React to BLUE N GREY next. It's frm their latest album

Purple is an important color for BTS - it represents them and ARMY, and V even created a new word combining the Korean word for purple and the ending of the Korean word for 'I love you' to make the word 'I purple you' (borahae, 보라해) which ARMY uses all the time now
I love your interpretation of the purple balloons all over the world and with all the different ages of ppl in the video showing how BTS is for anyone and everyone everywhere... Because it's true!!

    Fun fact about this track.
    1. Ed sheeran co-wrote the track in collaboration with Steve Mac, Johnny Mcdaid, and Jenna Andrews.
    2. They use sign language as a part of their dance choreography in "Permission to Dance” it's means fun, dance, and peace.
    3. They leaves messages throughout the "Permission to Dance” MV in graffiti, text in the backdrop, and even visuals promoting unity and the end to Asian hate crimes.
    4. V once said "I left a purple balloon in your dream, look it up” to comfort army who couldn't sleep. And in the teaser we can see Suga hold newspaper and it said 'purple balloon signal the end of the covid-19'.
    5. The anagram of 'Permission to Dance' is “Stories On Pandemic”.
    6. They release “Permission to Dance” on july 9 which is the birthday of ARMY. Best present ever!

This song signified the end of COVID. They are projecting that it'll be over in 2022 and the purple balloons signifies that end.
The "Teaser Trailer" has all of that info at the beginning on the News Paper Yoongi is Reading. Also there are a bunch of Sign Language embedded into the choreography 💜

  • @Nilaratna
    @Nilaratna Před 3 lety +19

This was shot in Korea and L.A. separately. Obviously, BTS couldn't travel so they created an Arizona-like desert somewhere in Korea. They built the building and everything. In the teaser, Yoongi (Suga) is holding a newspaper with the headline: "Purple balloons signal the end of Covid-19." But I appreciate your interpretation that they signify BTS' outreach which has only kept growing worldwide, because where's the lie, haha.

I love the fact that *they incorporated in the choreo the international sign language* that means ‘fun’ ‘dance’ and ‘peace’. It was beautiful to read on twitter the stories of ARMYs with deaf family / friends, they said they felt included in the music for the first time, they were very excited and grateful. This video is synonymous with the word INCLUSION, all age groups, ethnicities and genders ... it doesn't matter

  • @dezza_who6649

Super cute and meaningful things to note about this mv:
it was about the hopeful end of covid 19 and being able to live again
they highlight “essential” workers and people most affected by the virus while being as inclusive as possible
they incorporate international sign language into the choreo to make it even more inclusive
the line “we don’t need to worry because when we fall we know how to land” is in reference to them saying in past interviews that they’re not scared of some looming period to their career or performances because they’re going to keep performing until the very end, when the crowd dwindles from 100k to 50k to 500 to 50, as long as there are people who want to see them perform. Yoongi said “it’s our way of landing gracefully,” and “we’re no longer afraid of landing because we’ll land together”, referring to them as a group.

The thing about bts is that they write and perform according to what is happening in their lives at that time. So they wrote about school when they were in school about the fleetingness of youth when they were entering adulthood and loving yourself at a time when they were struggling. The happy music theyre making right now is meant as a bright spot in our lives during the pandemic

The signs that they are doing are:
**Hands alt ⬆️⬇️ on chest with thumbs up= joyful/happy
**✌downwards towards palm and swing wrist back and forth=💃🕺dancing 💃
    **✌upward = peace
    **walking fingers up arm=walk
**✌touch index finger to outer eye with middle finger pointing out.(not down like posing for pictures) Then pull from eye towards who you are looking 👀=
    I see you/I'm watching you
These are the ones sign language signs i saw immediately. I have some hearing loss and learned when I was young so I am glad to see BTS do something like this 💜

It’s a shame we couldn’t see you dancing 🕺 but your smile says it all. It is such a fun and just meaningful song. I don’t understand why some people have an issue with BTS singing in English. They already have Japanese albums why not some English? More people can understand it and it makes it more accessible. It doesn’t take away from the amazing music they have in Korean it is just adding another layer. I’m down with whatever they put out, bring it🙂 that’s what CC is for 💜

The bit at the end was them dancing with all of their staff. Sweet of them to include them and get them in front of the camera!
Also, BTS really wants to win a Grammy and whether it's right or fair they're gonna have to do it with songs in English! They haven't changed, just adapted the their goals and the current world situation! Any artist that wants to stay relevant does it and BTS does it very well I might add. Their world side recognition is growing exponentially and Army is here for it!

Happy Birthday Armies!! How many artists makes songs for their fans? BTS LOVES ARMY and the color Purple! When you watch BTS, if you listen to the lyrics think about the relationship between BTS and Army, most times it's who they are referring to. The reason you see all the different walks of life and different races, and ages represents Armies around the world. You can watch many videos of flash dance mobs around the world where people learn the choreography of many Kpop artists and memorize them. This song is simple to dance because they make it so their fans can dance it, including the kids and elderly.

There are often several versions of the Official" music video.
The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out"
"Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project.
“With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09.
My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh.
There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

I like your interpretation of the purple balloon representing BTS's global reach and how their music is literally for everyone. At this time when we need as much positivity and hope, BTS will reach to us and remind us that this will soon be over. Until that day comes, we don't need permission to dance and be happy. And yes, both BTS and their music are for everyone. The inclusivity in this video is just impressive. They made the choreography easy so everyone can dance along.

I'm loving the cowboy/country style they have going on and I'm also giving props to the stylist noonas for styling them this way and also props o to the people in the MV as you could see they were clearly havin fun.
I'm loving the beat and the line " I don't need permission to dance" will be stuck in my head for ever and always now, also it's such and iconic line and is up there with " Get it, Let it roll".
I'm also loving the beat of the music as it'd so happy and upbeat and really summery, it also makes me wanna smile just seeing them have fun.
The choreo is so groovy and makes me wanna dance and I just wanna groove with it also as there isn't really that much choreo it's really easy to dance too.
I love their MV as it shows the boys having fun with eachother and other people also the vocals are as amazing as ever, I especially love yoongis vocals as he really can sing, and it makes me wanna sing along.
It all being English aswell also makes it their 3rd all English song and this one is just as catch as Dynamite and Butter.
Also I love the message behind the song ad it basically says no matter what or where you are if you here music you love just dance along to it as you don't need permission to dance and have fun.
Us armys are getting so spoilt on our birthday and o just love the guys so much and you can clearly see how much they love us back k by just seeing how hard they work and how they care about us.
You'll never get another band like BTS who love their fans so much and who works so hard for them.

So in that context when they say "we don't need permission to dance" you can almost flip it to also mean "we don't need stories on pandemic", like lets talk about something.

in this MV we saw people who had suffered the most from covid-19 and of all races and ages. and that dance part was actually sign language, which meant the "joy" - "dance" and "peace"

Your reactions are always great!! You’re right. This is a fun MV with easy choreo which everyone can follow, It was released on ARMY’s birthday as a gift to ARMY. I was really intrigued by your interpretation of what the purple balloon may symbolize. As with most of their MVs, there are several layers to the meaning and symbolism. If you go back to the teaser, the cover of “The Daily” shows that this takes place in the future, the year 2022, and COVID finally comes to an end and purple balloons are released to mark the end of COVD. It’s all on the cover if you look closely. This is why everyone looks over to the balloon throughout the video, and Jimin and V help the little boy release one together. That’s when people start to take their masks off and dance. Isn’t that so beautiful?! The random people we see throughout the video show people and workplace that were most effected by COVID - the restaurant, school (teacher and janitor), the elderly, the couple (sadly, we lost many couples to the virus as well), the kids, etc. The video gives hope to everyone during the most difficult time of our lives. Lastly, the choreography include sign language- scratching their body while raising the thumb and slightly bending the rest of the fingers mean “fun,” the two fingers swaying side to side over the other palm is sign for “dance” and the ‘V’ sign with both hands mean “peace.”

  • @lilyphoummalayvane6776

  • @internationalplayboi3210

The purple balloons is a sign that lets people know that covid is ending because in the teaser the news paper that suga was reading says "puple balloons signal end of covid-19" also "2022 beginning of a new era good bye covid-19"

Thanks! Have a listen to the 'live' version at the Butterful Getaway.....the sound of that one is so much better, their voices are so much more distinct. Frankly, I love everything about this video, but tbh, whoever made the final decision on the sound, not so good...it looks and sounds like lip syncing. You'll see when you compare.

Purple signifies safe release from covid-19. My sm profile's Unicef-provided covid-19 vaxx marker has a purple background with a white MOTS: Persona-like heart squiggle.
This tune and its choreo are trauma-healing hugs from BTS to everyone, even beyond ARMY. They sing with American Sign Language in the choreo. All ages, races, countries, and abilities. PTD was not intended to be the penultimate BTS artistic expression.
PTD is also part of their English-language songs (Dynamite >> Butter >> Permission to Dance) bid for a Grammy, which they have limited time to get, due to their upcoming hiatus for military service. The Music Academy will not give them full respect if they continue to publish only in Korean or Japanese, with some English and Spanish. Because. Of. Systemic xenophobia and racism, of course. A Grammy is one of their longtime goals.
    Nice interpretation. 👍🏽💜👍🏽
