Sorry to see the Kitfox go, but you have to do what is best for your family and your goals. Good luck back in PNG, and we will be waiting for the new videos.
Praying that you sell it quickly and that you get what you want for it. Great info video!🙏
I am happy you enjoyed the Kitfox, good luck on your next adventure. One difference on this Kitfox is the carbs are in the factory Rotax location, not swapped to the outboard as Kitfox suggests. It really keeps the engine running much smoother.
Best wishes for your upcoming missionary position.
In addition to your other skills and capabilities, you, sir, are quite the practical engineer. From a non-pilot, but one who loves light aircraft, thank you very much for this and all your other videos.
Bitter sweet that you have to sell, but a lot of bush Pilot adventures in the future. It will be interesting to get your perspective from flying something so small and light and going back to the Kodiak. All the best with the sale.
Love your kitfox videos but great to see you back in PNG looking forward to seeing that again
Sad to see the Kit Fox time comes to an end. Also looking forward to great new videos from PNG!
Always wondered about your future commitments to PNG. Makes sense with your decision! Catch up with you back on the island! Piano hinges on my Van’s. Nice clean look!
I hope you get what you are asking for on the kit box. I’ll definitely be looking forward to your over seas flying Ryan.
So sad that you're selling the KitFox, but excited for you to be returning Papau NG! Looking forward to your future videos.
Love the Kitfox vids Ryan. Looking forward to more PNG videos and some more of that great PNG coffee !!
ty Ryan you will get another better plane in time kk keep safe and please keep the videos coming if possible E
Good morning from Minnesota! Sorry to see you sell the Kitfox, but it's been so much fantasy your adventures since you bought it!
Ryan I always enjoy you episodes haven't been able too watch all the time but know I'm praying for you and your family always enjoy your missionary journey much love ray
GREAT news! Time to get back to work after this season of RnR.
Sad to see you selling, but looking forward to more PNG content. I still get a chuckle out of the fact you found that Kitfox just a few miles from my place in Oregon.
Very honest presentation of your bird....which I would expect from you knowing your values. It'll be a great little bird for the right buyer.
Ryan, nice informative video.
It’s Blair, we spoke very briefly at SunNFun over by the Zenith 750… 3 year commitment huh? Wow! Best of luck.
Ryan,
Sorry to hear that the Kitfox has to go,it will be a good buy for someone. The good side for me is your returning to P.N.G. .Looking forward to flying around the countryside with you again, it will bring the back all the good memories again. All the best to you & your family, stay safe. 😊
Ryan, Praying for you and your family as you return to PNG. God Bless you Brother!!
I know it is sad to say goodbye to it. More adventures ahead though. It is a beautiful plane.
Cool little bird wish I could buy it best of luck in selling it.
Sad to see it go, someone's getting a great deal.
Man wish I could afford it. Would open up so many hunting and fishing opportunities
If I could only win the lottery, I would buy you a Caravan.....looking forward to continuing on with you and your family to PNG...God Bless...
That's a nice plane, love it
Need to see the dash Ryan....to many unknowns
Leaving us so soon? Was hoping to meet up since you're so close to Vegas! Be safe
Just worried for you brother seeing the unrest in West Papua and a kidnapped pilot. Hoping PNG doesn't have the spillover that puts you and your family at risk from the rebel element, especially as you will be flying onto very remote mountain strips. God bless you all in your work and keep you and your family safe. Oh, and hoping you get top dollar for your little plane too as you set off to fly bigger and better Kodiaks.
A really nice plane. We are a missionary family in our home country. My almost 7-year-old has already listened to many stories about missionaries and he was specially impressed by Nate Saint's testimony. He dreams of being a missionary pilot and is all the time thinking how he can build a plane. Not a big commercial plane, he remarks, but a small one, like the ones from old times. I think his obsession with the subject was what made me subscribe to your channel. I wish he had a different dream for it seems so unreachable, but anyway! I enjoyed watching the little plane all around just thinking how he would enjoy being in the position to check one for purchase 😂. Well, May our Lord bless your lives and work for Him.
I don't know what was your plan when you left PNG the last time. I assumed you moved home for good. And although I was sad to see the best channel revert to "normal" flying content, at least I was happy for you to be home. But now that you are about to return to PNG, I no longer need to tame my excitement! Can't wait for your new PNG videos! Good luck with the next adventure and keep the good stuff coming!
Its a real shame you are selling her Ryan, especially after all the work you put into it! Its totally understandable though as it needs to be flown and not sitting in storage for 3 years, whoever buys her will be getting a really nice plane for sure👍
Good move. I have had to make the same decisions on yachts that I have had. Mechanical devices don’t like to sit!! If I had a cruising boat that I couldn’t use regularly, I would sell it.
Looking forward to following you from png, from Australia 🇦🇺
I'll gladly "store" it for you.
Boy, that would be an excellent buy for someone Ryan. Hope someone will grab it, all the best……Roger
I also think selling is the best idea. Too many people let planes sit thinking they will fly them again or fix them up to only end up letting them rot away. One of the many reasons why it's hard to find an affordable plane. They sit in a hanger for X amount of years then the owner finally decides to sell but wants an extremely unreasonable price after so many years.
Island hop out to Cairns? Would make some great content. You could sell it easy in Australia.
Watch out on those inspection passes/approaches. Wonder if the FAA types in other countries are on the lookout as well.. Selling it is one way to stay away from becoming Trent Palmer#2 ;) Best of luck in your endeavors!
Best of luck with the sale and your new adventures bacon PNG. Will you fly the Kodak again - as in will you being doing the same job as before. I know at one stag3 you were looking at flying helicopters or is that not happening? Good luck either way and fly safe.
Hi "Captain Ryan".... Ryan, I'm jealous and envious. I wish I could buy it, she's a stunner! (a little nervous about the roll axis) and logistics of being in Australia.
Any gossip from PNG about the Australian "scientists" held hostage, I saw this on the TV news? Are you flying 'choppers'?
🌏🎂☕
Haven't heard of that yet, and no, back to the Kodiak
I wish every seller was this transparent. Van Bortel AC would take a few lessons.
Do you miss flying in PNG? All those challenging STOL grass strip runways nestled in the terrain.
Sweet plane!
You will get what you for it, i,m sure ! I had to quit because i am now 80 with 800 hours . That would be my choice for fun ! Accelent info on the aircraft ! I will follow you ovir Utube when you get back there ! I soloed and Aeronca in 1960 (18 ) years old !!
Seems like you just got back over here
Hey Ryan, I had a question about flying over in PNG. If your landing on a runway on which you can't go around due to rising terrain and is short, what do you do if you porpoise the landing or bounce it? Is it possible to do a go around in the places you fly to after touching down?
No, you wait til your wheels are on the ground and go heavy reverse on the prop
Sweet wings..
Hey Ryan. Back to PNG already? Wow. That's pretty quick. I thought you were back in the US for a couple of years
Just for a year
Sweet...!
sad you have to sell the kitfox, but hurray for back to papua!
Wish I Could!!1
Ya gotta do want makes ya happy my friend , 3 mores years , remember your a teacher , start a flight academy there
how much is the insurance for this guy? After you got your 10 hours…. Thanks
Ryan... Thanks so much for everything you continue to do for this amazing community .... I would like to inquire about your kitfox... how much? thanks
$115 Obo
$115,000 OBO at the end.
Hey it’s not my life but it is my comment. Bush flying stateside was such a nice change for your quality of life and channel. Disappointed to see you going back to “that situation” for another 3 years.
I’d love to give that bird a home in Ontario Canada, I could also start making CZcams videos in it let me know what the price tag is….
$115k obo
Far better the sell than store. Someone can enjoy a great plane and you won't have the expense of going through it when you get back.
Exactly
Ryan, I may be interested. I have a tail wheel endorsement and about 100 hrs of tail experience in the last 24 months. Do you have a price? James
He stated $115,000 or best offer.
@@theresacaron4238 😂😂😂
115K is what he is asking (or best offer) for that price I would get a Piper Arrow and have a REAL airplane. He bought that plane for roughly 4k. Tell him you want an Itemized list and prices of the things he did to that plane AFTER he bought it, add that to 4000 dollars and that's what you'll buy if for.
MBP,,,HELLO,RYAN, YES better sell, rather than store,as it would be years, time flies, soon you will be back, in PNG, see you later, regards to your family, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wait didn’t you buy it for like 20k or something?
What's a "WIG WAG"? I'm just a sim pilot, and so far, i never actually ran into that term... :-)
It is when the lighting flashes back and forth from one side to the other! Usually the landing lights on the wings!
It's in the video when he shows the landing lights on at 7:29. It changes the landing lights from on steady to each one flashing individually on and off opposite of each other.
Time to buy a Kodiak float.
😎
You have not been in the US a full year have you?
No
do kit fox have enough room for someone who is 6ft 4in?
Not sure.
yah can't pack it and take it with you ?? ah welll didn't you say the longer you stay in PNG the less money you get or if you stop and go back later it starts all over ?? and Prayers to the return to the Jungle,
Whoever buys it should sell it back to him when he gets back
Hi, have you sold it yet?
Are you working in New Guinea or Irian Jawa?
PNG
so is this classed as an LSA ?
Just experimental
Take the wings off and ship it over there. Or find somebody to store it, fly it….? They pay for gas, get a free aircraft to fly? You get free storage….
I wish I could buy it 😂 would you take $5,000? Best of luck to you!
Shoot. I'll give him 20 grand right now!
@@reason6835 Great! Together we can offer $25k and you can fly it weekends and I can fly weeknights 😂
@@reason6835 20K is hellava better price than 115K.
Where are you selling her?
Kingman AZ
I'd like to buy a plane to finish my private pilot license but that is probably out of my price range.
Don't buy while you learn. Buy to fly or build hours. Trainers take a beating and it's better to let someone else handle those MX bills.
What @owreese said. Also most people don't recommend learning/getting your PPL in an experimental because it's extremely difficult to find a CFI who would be comfortable and willing to get in a plane that he or she has no clue what the build quality is. In addition most experimentals are not as forgiving to new pilots like say a Cessna is with its very difficult to stall/spin characteristics.
@@Recklessness97 I got about 34 hours of flight time in single engine land so most of what I would do is solo.
I wouldn’t buy that plane! You trashed it! Just kidding!😂 you’ll sell that plane no problem!
It seems like you just bought it less than a year ago.
Yes. Was planning on keeping it longer because I wasn't planning on returning to PNG originally
@@MissionaryBushPilot: Ah, I see. Well, I wish you the best on your PNG endeavors. Love your Kodiak videos too!
Do you consider to exchange with a car?
Sorry, I don't need a car become going back overseas
How much
$115k
😢😢😢
How much are you asking?
He's asking 115K But he only paid roughly 4K (so he said). So ask him for a itemized list and prices of EVERYTHING he did to it after be bought it and add that to 4K and that's the selling price. Remember, something is only worth what the last person paid for it (plus any additions).
@@ILSRWY4 Really! Your just going to troll around with this same comment. He didn’t pay 4K, but you know that as he replied to you that he took a initial 4K investment and turned it into this. Also something is not worth what they paid, it’s worth what the open market will bear. If you don’t agree with his price, don’t buy.
@@ILSRWY4 You could buy about a 1/10th of the firewall back kit for $4,000. The engine costs about $23,000. So no he didn't pay $4,000 for the plane. You weren't paying attention. 😊
You look just like maven the cyclist ,but with hair !
SOLD!!! Ill take the plane Ryan! money isnt any problem
jk
you will get eaten by cannon balls
You accept paypay? Ha ha just kidding 😅
$115k. For a little kitplane. Good luck with that. Maybe praying to baby geebus will help you get that price. Count yourself lucky if you get half that. "Professionally built" ? That would make it illegal as an amateur built experimental. If this is his 14th airplane, the FAA should take take a closer look at the builder and put a stop to him.
115,000. Dream on
Hopefully the plane will end-up hangered out of the sun.
Hope/You/Don't/get/Kidnapped/in/Papua New Guinea.?..Maybe/a/GPS/chip/under/Your/skin/somewhere/would/be/a/good/idea?..Bien/Suerte/Cuidate.!
it seems to me you dont know what you want ....
He's asking 115K But he only paid roughly 4K (so he said). Anyone buying it should ask for an itemized list and prices of EVERYTHING he did to it after be bought it and add that to 4K and that's the selling price.
No, I had an initial crypto investment of $4k which turned into a lot more. No one would sell a plane for $4k
Replace it with a jet. See if you can get a second hand MiG-25 - one that has an improved avionics (replaced the ethanol engine that powers it with something more reasonable and long lasting) and that can carry a fuel tank. Or get a two seater to bring along the Mrs, like an F-16 trainer from one of the state Air Guard units.
Might be pricey, but sure would be fun :-)
How much money do you think he’d need for fuel alone compared to the Kitfox!!!! Off the scales
@@craigpitts2209 Yeah, true. Still, though - that would be fun. 🙂
Does it have cup holders?
No 😔
115k 😱 I had no idea 😂
115K would buy you a nice Piper Archer or an Arrow and you would have a REAL airplane. But selling it for 115K
I would love to buy the kitfox man message me
Send me an email. Ryan@missionarybushpilot.com
Great airplane.
