They're not suppose to be fighting along side Naofumi in the first place. If they were fighting in their own individual waves they might have the benefit of leveling up as they fight.
@@destroyerblackdragon except they ARE supposed to be fighting along side with him when defending the world. Just when it comes to leveling up they donât travel together. But theyâre still SUPPOSED to be a team hence them being the heroâs of that world
Question: if there're different wave occurrences across their world, then wouldn't it be possible for each hero to be fighting a wave at a specific time and die there without any other aid? For instance, Naofumi could be searching for the vassal heroes in his world, but learns something like "They died in the last wave in Siltvelt because they didn't have backup. However, they bought time for everyone else." What would they do then?

@@sprocket403 Thatâs the thing. The people in Naofumiâs new world (and some in Glass) interpret it as heroes and vassal heroâs facing off with others to the death so their world doesnât get destroyed. However Kizuna thinks that SHOULDNT be the case.
So for your question, what happens if the vassal heroâs from Naofumis are dead? What then? Well (like Kizunaâs thinking) they would have to recruit other vassals heroes to help them in their stead.

This actually kinda already happens later on. A hero from a destroyed world teams up with Naofumi. Sheâs very cute and wields scissors
Also also, if I recall correctly vassal hero deaths donât really affect the waves(?) Iâm pretty sure the death of the main heroes (like shield and bow) do

Actually, they were simply given false information, the heroes from other worlds were supposed to worked together against the true common enemy!
Imagine the look on the three stooges' faces when find out that not only did Naofumi save their worthless butts 'AGAIN', but also went to another world, got reset to level 1 along with his party and came back with even more power than ever before. Honestly if that's not motivation enough to want to surpass the one they initially thought to be weak, then I don't know what is.
Unfortunately every time his power scales over them, they attribute it to some cheat ability his shield gives him
@@Midsomnyx Well you're not wrong. But then again Naofumi and the others morons aren't the only ones teleported to a wave, there are soldiers and adventurers from all parts of Melromarc on site. When they see the other 3 supposed 'heroes' either lagging behind Naofumi or fighting among themselves (as seen in their fight against the spirit monster), it'll make them look weak and incompetent, more so than they already are. Next thing you know all those other adventurers will want to join up with Naofumi's party over them. Cheat or not even they will have their pride shaken at some point (Especially Itsuki who kicked out a member of his party for being weak).
Honestly the other heroes need some good character development and should actually be useful more often I like naofumi but him being the only one to accomplish anything out of the four heroes is getting repetitive
@@semionjohnson1351 oh they change and grow a lot in the light novels, you are not there yet, I hope that they do their character growth justice in the anime, because they screwed the pooch on the tortoise arc.
@@semionjohnson1351 When Naofumi returns to the other world, the others have all unlocked their Cursed weapons and have been driven insane by them. From there, Naofumi beats some sense into them one by one.
Season 1: overpowered last boss
Season 2: previous last boss obtained as playable character
This pretty much shows how Kizuna is the Naofumi of their group.

and no, they were only interested in Naofumi, they never hurt anyone else, and they are still heroes
What's funny is they were only after Naofumi because he was the only one that posed a threat. If he was as weak as the other heroes they wouldn't have needed to do anything.

Hey, Childe was a decent boss fight in Genshin. I had fun with him.
I donât know about super villains. They kinda felt more like actual rivals. The useless sword/bow/spear gang donât count.

1:08 L'arc and Theresa should be lectured as well as Glass, but for some reason their not and are showing a smug face while glass gets a lecture while they seem to be let off easy. L'arc left because of "responsibilities" but he took it as a que to leave, while Theresa just smiled while not being apologetic. They're still jerks along with the other heroes as far as I'm concerned.

To be honest, Glass getting off with a scolding would be anime bullcrap. Really, given Naofumi's character, it would make sense for him to state that whilst he's ok with working with them against Kyo, Glass should keep in mind how many people died in the first wave she intervened in because she occupied the Cardinal Heroes and prevented them from defending people and/or ending the wave.
The attempted genocide is one thing, but the ACTUAL deaths that occurred due to their actions (especially Glass) they should be held to account for, which I doubt they will because this is animeland, where bad guys can switch sides in no-time flat.
The title is great, tough. :)
True, but the author never gave numbers...and it's likely to be "none" since the wave before Glass Naofumi was alone and the deaths was in the single digits, and this time he was better prepared bringing people and medicine to avoid deaths.

Season 1? Good animation, pacing and kept close to the original story - Season 2? Poor, rushed animation and half the story skipped because its obviously not the same team that did season 1..... They skipped an entire arc, 3 character introductions and edited the story to make Raphtalia and Filo look 10 times weaker than they really are while turning the 3 other world heroes into the same useless trio from Naofumi's world.... and we all know there doing this because season 3 was already announced....

Not QUITE that bad. But Shield Hero's first season was strong than the first 2 of Index. So it still feels as bad.
