AFL talked about protecting the head and how head high hits would not be tolerated and then let Cripps off when he knocked out a Brisbane player with a head high hit. They deserve to be sued.

What's the basis of the lawsuits? It seems everyone, including the AFL are learning on the fly and putting proper protocols in place as we go. Not sure how the AFL can be at fault, unless protocols were ignored at club level.

The AFL would know the basis of the law suit because they have been served. The cases will be complex, but hypothetically AFL could be liable for things that were within their remit but failed to do.
