Seeing BK play, making stressed out noises the whole time, and then immediately after Michael breezes through the first few levels, reminds me of when I was little and my cousin would hand me the controller, let me play a level or two of some video game absolutely terribly, and then I'd watch him beat the whole game. 😂
This is one of the few Challenge Accepted I can get the whole family to try. Even got the NES hooked up. BK plays it just like my Mom. 😂
They should really hire this Matt guy.
TBH. I dont think his body could handle a full time schedule as opposed to his current part time schedule while he deals with MS.

@@UmbrasMercy Sadly yes. Back in February he got checked out when his vision "kinda tanked". After several tests, they diagnosed him with MS Only recent he been able to get back to his normal steaming schedule. I dont think he could handle full days in the office.

he is one of the larger story-arc members for sure.
Hes also one of the OGs so he has the reputation and history to enjoy. But i agree the new hires in the new age are very hit or miss for humor and personality.

I think Trevor is right about the screen size cuz there’s a gap on the right side of the screen in the level select screen that’s just the right size to fit the area that objects are popping in from

I know a lot of times its easier to watch than to be the one actually participating but this doesn’t seem like it would be too hard?
It's a psychological challenge to your gamer brain more so, but the levels are also designed with coins in your best route. So yeah, probably harder then it looks.

Here's a challenge for you: In World 1, get the two flutes from level 3 and the first castle, then beat world 1, when you get to world 2, warp to the farthest world you can, then when you get to that world, warp again the final world, then beat the game without taking any damage/dying. Not sure it is possible, but I have gotten that far using the flutes in the way I mentioned, but have yet to beat the game.
People who apparently have never played a mario game vs Michael.
Just tried this myself. I limited myself to 1 continue. Made it to 8-2 by using double warp whistle so 1-1 1-2 1-3 1-fort warp> warp 8-tank 8-boat 2 random tiles, 8-airship 8-1.
It's not how far you get, but actually completing levels
I liked they learn more with more attempts, made the runs better

It’s so hard to watch these whipper-snappers, who happen to be my age, not know the basics of Mario 3. Not knowing how to open the item menu, that enemies turn to coins on the end screen, that the white platforms take you behind the scenes, so on 😅
I don’t know how I remember all this, I haven’t played in years. I just do.
They should have brought Geoff in for this one!
Geoff was AWFUL at platformers, but now that he's quit drinking for several years now, I would love to see him compete in a challenge like this.
Man Ray would be a great guest for this 😂 I know it’s like pulling teeth to get him to agree to come in but I think it would be worth it!

It's not that hard but also kinda tricky when you don't have years of experience playing that type of game! I was starting to get the hang of it but there wasn't enough time for me to get into the groove 😭😭

I thought this would be fun because they would be fighting their instincts to just go for the coins, but instead, they were struggling to jump. Just made the whole experience rough. Maybe they should play the game a few times before so the cast is at least familiar.
tbh we usually don't know the game or the challenge until we record so we don't rlly get any time to practice the game or the challenge before getting into it! Trust me, if I had known I would've practiced!!!!!! I don't WANNA look like a fool 🤣

Trevel and his stress noises were so good. This episode is absolute gold and I loved every second. Also BK's little squeaks are the noise my heart makes when I play these games.

Challenge name: Time is Not on Your Side
Game: Smite
Make a custom room with the following
1) Joust Map
2) Starting gold 1500
3) Starting level 5
4) You vs 5 Highest difficulty bots
5) All bots are Chronos
6) You can choose whatever god you want to play as
7) No defense items
Actives/relics do not count (so beads and aegis are okay)
8) Only one lifesteal item
If it is too difficult on your own, then you can add a bot on your team, but leave it random.
Does BK not know how Mario works? i know shes younger but those were pretty obvious questions she was asking

Yeah the question mark blocks hold coins or a power up. So if they risk a block for a power up they could end up with a coin.
Plenty of power ups used. It’s like there’s an entire video still left to be watched.
They probably don't remember which ones have power ups in them

I found out there’s a way in Mario 64 where you fall into a canon after losing all your health so that if you fire with the wing cap you control Mario in the air but the moment you touch the ground you die….
That would be kind of fun the reset is the only issue

I agree... It's actually insane that someone can get hired at a gaming company and not know the fundamentals. SMB3 and SMW are great litmus tests for how good someone is at video games

Watching the Evolution of BK playing this was amazing, like we can actively see her improving over time.

Ya RT really went downhill after the golden years... It's such a shame because they were so far ahead of the game and had many talented people working there. It's just not the same. Everything feels forced, the "humor" often comes from "random/loud = funny," and it feels like they are trying to act their character instead of just having a good time and being themselves. Ironically they've turned into a cooperate entity that stands in stark contrast to their humble beginnings. RIP 2012 Achievement Hunter
why not just hold d-pad down on the white block to drop down behind the map? run through the whole thing.
edit: michael remembered that trick at the end lol. but you can run through enemies while behind the map.
