@@travellingtaschaIt depends on where you are coming from. I'm from Florida, USA and over there they'll charge $1,200 or P67k/month just to rent a room. You'll pay upwards of P120k/month for a unfurnished 50 SQM 1 bedroom apartment in a shady neighborhood. So prices in BGC are cheap in comparison.
Question I have is how good are those window air conditioners? In my experience they’re usually loud and don’t cool rooms/apartments down really well…are they good in these condos?

2ND unit for a little over 500/mo is doable for me and another. not bad for 500/mo...that unit is actually better looking than my current home.

BGC ia a new modern high rise community for foreign retirees. Foods rents grocery and utilities are at the lowest compared to major cities in the world. A real value for your hard earned dollars/ Euro. You can walk on a daily basis for good health going to malls restaurants parks.

Would you show us around Arca South? It’s in Taguig. I don’t know how much of it is finished. I’ve heard that it’s similar to BGC, but with more green space. I’ve never seen it, so it would be nice to have at least an introductory video tour.
It's a tiny sliver. Arca is less than 1/4 the size of bgc and you constantly see the perimeter walls. The shape of the entire development is such that you feel surrounded by perimeter walls. Not much greeneries either.

Sunset view is badluck for fengshui. It's condos either full sunrise or in middle plus with a water feature facing (pool or lake or river) that are auspiciously good units.
The badluck that i know is that even if you have money but still not able to rent an apartment with a sunset view

I used to work in BGC. Fun fact. There is a fault line that runs north to south on the east side of BGC. If you are in a high rise you really feel it. As a foreigner that lives permanent in Philippines and get paid in pesos. These condos are overated. If you buy one unit in those building you will need to buy a parking spot separate which cost almost as much to half of the unit price. If not you need to rent it monthly for a hefty price.
I prefer Makati, safer and farther away from the fault line. Also, I like it in that it is a ghost town outside of rush hours.
How reliable is the electric service at these locations that you showcased. I'm inquiring specifically about the prevalence of brownouts is this area.

7 units, you outdid yourself. You might be able to get something in Des Moines Iowa for these prices but if you go to any major metro areas in the US, you would be sleeping in a cardboard box for these prices.

Filipino Apartments don't have balconies or bath tub or Jacuzzi tubs you can find all of those things I just mentioned in Pattaya Thailand for half the price😅😅

Condos and expenses in BGC priced like a first world in a 3rd world salary for the common folks. But yeah these are mostly catered to foreigners, OFWs etc. Sad that the common folks do not have decent housing and we have lots of empty unutilized condos. These insane prices should be regulated and aligned with the spending power of the greater filipinos

@@glassofbeer123there aren't blackouts in the CBD's in metro manila either. If ever there are any, they're due to super typhoons but are restored fast. You're reliving the 80s metro Manila where developed CBD's were few and sparse.
Unless of course your flavor is for the street life that's another story. Thailand wins hands down especially with the lady boys...if that's your flavor.
It just seems that Philippines condos lack style especially in comparison to their cheaper yet mostly smaller Thsi counterparts
Budget conscious? Then don't live in BGC. Massively overpriced. Eastwood on C5, Ortigas, Mandaluyong, Makati, Manila Bay, Upper Bicutan, Taguig (not BGC), even McKinley, offer much better value. The furniture in the 30k Madison Buildings 1-bedroom was absolutely fine. And if you're that fussy about furniture, you could buy some for less than the difference in 1 month of the rental cost (30k v 60k in Megaworld etc.) and still save a shedload over the course of the lease.
For comparison, my son rents a semi-furnished 1-bedroom condo in Avida Asten, Makati, for 20k. I rent a 2-bedroom condo in a nice condo development in Pasig for less than that!l
Thailand had much better for qman even lower price !
