Congratulations Mergin! You got the perfect condo.Very beautiful!Put some plants to make it more beautiful coz Green color represents life.
Enjoy and stay safe.
Glad to know that your CZcams channel is already self sustaining. I remember when you were just starting your vlog in the Philippines, it was difficult.
You really are getting good with the clips you're presenting. The way you make mini montage like shots shows how you keep on getting better and better. Keep it up Pinoy Mergim! And as always, take care!
B-rolls
prior pandemic, the 1BR units like yours in One Uptown rents for 30K(simple but fully furnished) to 40K (nicely interior designed). after pandemic, lessors offer 25K but still not a lot of takers because most locals work from home already and the expat employees are still not that many like in 2019.
How about work in ph, how much basic job like store cashier or fast food pay?

It's more fun in the Philippines. Enjoy your stay here! ✌️👍🏻
Lived in One Uptown Residences two years ago and paid for the same unit 27k/month (incl. association dues). Pretty confident I‘d get the same rate again or even lower. Don‘t forget it‘s a renters market in BGC. So there is always room for negotiation. The condo itself is great; the only problem I had was with the 2 standard air conditioner that come with every unit: 1. They have no inverter, so the electric bill would be twice as high 2. The engine/s are installed under the floor, so it gets pretty loud.
Haggle hard is the key
very good deal
@@AG-so4gl Absolutely, just know its a renters market in BGC. For the avg Pinoy the rent is too expensive and during COVID expats are few.
@@michaelcorleone8795 yep I think this guy is getting ripped off hard just because he is a foreigner and has no idea what the actual rents are in philippines. Again I could get a 1 bedroom condo for 14K in SMDC Mezza 2 towers that has swimming pool, sky lounge etc.
Going to the Philippines soon and that would be a dream. You think they'd take a 2BR for 50K/month? lol
If you're planning to stay a couple of months in the Philippines, it's a good deal since it's right at the heart of BGC. It's nice, I like it.😃👍
You are doing your best with your editing skills!
Thank you for uploading BGC, planning to visit Manila this Christmas.
Nice place mergim.. The city view is beautiful and the laguna de bay awesome... 👍👍👍
Thank you this kind of content is rare on vlogs about real estate in the Philippines.
Thank you for this video Merghim…very Informative for people outside of Philippines or for people who plan to stay longer in Manila ✌🏻🇫🇷
That is a very good rate, especially for that size and in Uptown. Glad to hear you're talking my suggestion about Ikea.
SILENT subscriber here Mergim... I've always waiting for your vlog since you transfer to BGC and meeting with Juicy Vlogs George and Lucy.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤞👍👆✌️🇵🇭💯👊
Your not silent anymore
This literally inspired me to be productive. more of these!
Second to comment...Yeeha...Congratulations Mergim...
Curious to know if the owner of the unit or the condo management provided the replacement curtain or you had to buy it yourself? Noticed the workers taking the bag the replacement curtain came in.
In the Philippines, Mergim we start countdown for Christmas at the first day of the "Ber Months" which is September to December. We have the longest Christmas celebration in the world which I missed big time living here in the UK, there's a different vibe and mood hearing Christmas songs and seeing these beautiful decors, Christmas, it's more fun in the Philippines. 😉
I lived in Makati 2020. 1 year lease on an upscale condo. My monthly bills were rent, globe wifi, electric and water.
I noticed all the Filipino locals didn’t live in Makati, only worked and left usually around 8pm nightly when the malls and businesses closed. They live in shared boarding houses and apartments in nearby cheaper cities and commute in jeepneys and MRT/LRT.
The only time I spent in Makati was asleep in my condo, grocery shopping and eating in restaurants.
Most of my day I “hung out” in the neighboring cities where the Filipinos lived.
My advice is rent month to month until you get involved in a relationship then most likely that girl will want to transfer to her province unless she is in the city working . That’s why you see many foreigners living in provinces on various islands….
Reason for this is many Filipino girls(not all but most) are stubborn and will only want to live in the province with her family….that’s the mindset.
So if her family lives in Bohol, Leyte, Samar, Panay, Mindanao…..guess what!!!!! That’s where you will have to live or you will have to end the relationship. Hahahaha.
Don’t invest to much in Metro Manila….long term condo contracts etc…….
There are no locals living in Makati? Do tell
If you survey Makati residents, there are more locals than foreigners. Just coz you don't know any local in Makati does not mean all of Makati is inhabited by foreigners.
Guys just let him give hos opinion amd what he observed. The middle amd low class working class in makati are mostly from other provinces and it’s true that they are renting in a boarding house. How can they rent or buy a condo with their salary. That’s a fact. He’s referring to the majority of workers in the malls, offices, groceries etc. Those Filipino locals also commute in buses, LRT, jeepneys. In general Filipino locals way of life is like that.
@@robocop581 By there is no he meant that most employees in Makati doesn't really live in Makati. Don't take everything literally unless you are a toddler.
@@JT-bs2lm Makati is a huge area and is not all ritzy. If you're gonna make a generalized comment then better know the area.
It was meant for you. It will be worth it to make it homey. You’ll love staying in too. Good thinking about switching loving room and bedroom. It makes sense. With Christmas coming the lights at night are going to be beautiful you can do a vlog in the dark with just lights showing
Good morning Mergim 🇵🇭❤️thanks so much for showing the beautiful BGC ❤️ and answering the long awaited questions 🤣 I hope that you can meet the Wistl Family from the UK. Family of 5 with 3 young children...lovely family.
I always watched your videos during my breakfast... The first vid i'll look every morning..
Hi Mergim. Love your vlogs. As subscribers, we watch your vlogs every day. As a suggestion, you might want to get a good sofa bed. This would reap benefits.
Congratulation again, Uptown Residence, is a great place, I know because I have clients that are unit owners, and since then, their investments more than doubled.
Love your promotion of the Philippines, Mergim! Over the years, I've always wondered why it is so underrated and undiscovered by foreign travellers! Until You tube came about and thru vloggers such as yourself, the world saw us through your eyes ❤. I'm Filipino from the Bay area here in Calif and grateful to you and others for what you do to showcase the Philippines! Thanks much🙏🏼🥰.
@ Grace R I’m also in SF Bay Area 👋🏼
It's time for Philippines to rise
..coz it depends on the person visiting the Philippines. Some don’t like to see malls and fake Venice canal, they could go to Italy to see the real thing. Some also like to see and know old culture like temples or pagodas (Thailand,Siemp Reap,Indonesia etc). I’ve been to those place and the accomodation is so much cheaper (with all the amenities) than in our own country, unfortunately.
@@solotraveller888 that person visiting will usually go to islands like Boracay, El nido etc. not just to visit malls. The fake venice canal provides variety otherwise philippines ia big
Because Philippines probably has the worst food in Asia.
The crime, the crappy infrastructure, etc
Oh and because the culture is basically American..boring. If not for the beaches and sex tourism, no one would come here
congrats mergim more cool videos to come.
Merry Christmas thanks for visiting the Philippines
Wow! And thank you. I shall be in BGC very soon and am heartened to have your input. 😎
Loving the daily vlog. Comparing your old video's where more quality then now. You tend to talk more then showcasing the area. I hope you do more Christmas vlog since Nelly from making it happen vlog no longer on the scene.
The big lake is called Laguna de Baie or Laguna de Bay. FYI. You get the sunrise and you are facing the Antipolo mountains East.
A wallpaper will do as well. In market market, there is a store there that sells carpet and good quality wallpaper.
I’m liking these daily vlogs 👍🏻 definitely go to ikea for your rug, some pillows and maybe your corner desk. You can also try out the meatballs and salmon in ikea it’s sooo good ❤ I would go back there just for the food!

NICE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRICES OF A CONDO IN BGC. NICE VLOG MERGIM.👍👍👍
Beautiful place you have. You are definitely living it up. Best wishes. I’m searching videos and I came across this one. I’m moving there in a month and ramping up with all the info I can get. This is probably the best video I’ve seen because it clearly shows that some people’s wants something trump needs. The cheaper units you mentioned are more than enough for me and I would gladly live in one comfortably. Thank you for the valuable information.
Wow, Mergim, you are really going all out in beautifying your new place. That's awesome! 👍
12:54 Hi mergin, perhaps a night time view from your unit of the city lights/skyline could be part of your next video thanks
welcome to bgc Mergim your condo has great amenities unlike mine , the basketball court you have there was awesome and i saw you at true value a few days ago ,Enjoy your stay at Bgc.
hi mergim I love ur vids keep up the good work 😊
That's lovely. I love the color you picked. Can imagine how beautiful it is at night. I'll feel in-love with the city

Fabulous! Congrats on your new "home-sweet-home"

Geez Mergim, you're really enticing me to think about an early retirement and get on a jet plane and be on a hunt for a condo in Uptown and have coffee with you every so often. I'm digging, no, actually envious, of you're lifestyle 😎!
Likewise ! 🤣🤣🤣 Well said ! 💕Melody💕
The Philippines loves foreigners.

Good morning mergim love how you share your condo unit its so nice same time people get an idea beforehand in buying one. take care always and God bless you. ✌👍😍🙏🇵🇭
The curtains also blocks the eco of your mic. nice!
Mergim- I’m getting nesting vibes. Good on you. And thank you for the pricing info.
Wow nice condo ,my niece has a Condo in BGC but it cost 70 thousand a month and its in the 34rth floor so the view is really nice
Cool post Bro. I stayed in Makati Resort when PH, but I found myself meeting all the girls and going out in BGC. So I'd prolly live there. Keep living up my dream for me please, but I'm soon to follow. I work online and am working to set myself up so I can work without country restrictions. Best
Wow great infos Mergim..
Love your condo, the view and the proximity to everything esp. restaurants. Where do you take your laundry. Can’t live without it in my condo.
Appreciate you sharing the pricing info. I have been curious. Thanks!

I'm not going to comment how good is your vlog because everyone already telling you that, and I share same opinion.
Cant wait for you to go shopping at S&R. Even for appliances they have bargains there and buy 1 take 1 for a lot of stuff.
Hey mergim its masskara festival in bacolod city.. one of the famous fstval in philpnes the hightlights is on oct 21,22&23 would be great if you can do vlogs during those dates..thnks

Hi Mergim! Saw you in George and Lucy's vlog 😊 Subscribed to your channel now 🤗
Yay! I saw you walking from Kalayaan to BGC. I didn’t you wee vlogger-:)
Thank you and GOD Bless!!!
Nice apartment; enjoy your stay & keep safe!
You coud have a part time Bed time spacer , and you could rent for $100 a week.1 or 2 weeks could save some money
Great condo. I like the blackout curtains. If you had the remote that opens and closes them that would be even better
Boy, I’m paying about P85K per month through Airbnb in an AVIDA building right near you. I’m feeling silly, though everything is paid for, including electricity, internet, Netflix, toilet paper, weekly cleaning.
I like Mergim’s video. Not a lot of editing. So real. 👏👏👏
Wish i had seen this before I pressed submit for my rental just outside of BGC next week
Nice place! Thanks for the info on BGC rentals!
Here in Aklan.... $128 USD/ mo. Olympic sized pool. 2 bedrooms... 2nd story. Cant beat it. It doesn't have to be top dollar when you venture out of the Manilla region.
I live in Taguig and still lucky to be paying less than 100usd for my rented apartment per month and I can easily go to BGC anytime with just my e-scooter or ride hailing services. BGC is super pricey, and only caters to expats and those who don’t earn local currency. I guess it’s better for him to buy the unit instead of just renting. 50K php per month is crazy. I can use that for my house equity and downpayment lol.
Beautiful cool place 🙂👍🇵🇭
Thanks for sharing sir. We are offering for rent a similar unit in the same building with similar basic furnishing on a lower floor and facing the amenities at 32k per month plus the typical dues for long term. :)
You should have talked to him earlier
@@Regular_Guyph 32K plus assoc dues is way above competition. Many empty units at 30K (inclusive of dues)
@@Top5_Pilipinas in the same neighborhood?
@@Regular_Guyph same building. One Uptown Residences
there are about 60+ units listed online. most are offering 35K, a few at 40K, several 30K and a few 27K and 28K. those above 30K will be the ones that will stay vacant for longer and those 40K will probably wait til next year when all units are taken and they are the only option.
Thanks for enjoying your stay in the PI.
I just started following you I hope I get good information and eventually find my place at bgc I
Thanks for sharing..my Bf is planing to purchased or rent a condo..this vlog would be beneficial for us to get a lot of ideas from u..
Watching from Jeddah Saudi Arabia..
Love your condo. Very nice view and all the convenience around you. Wise choice👍😊
Good choice now ur a happy man living in bgc ! Am sure foreigners. who are watching u may follow soon
I love that you chose to stay in BGC!!
Actually I was talking to an aircon tech just last month, window type inverter AC is a newer tech than split inverter, and thus more expensive if not similar in price range. One of the reason being he said is maintenance of window inverter is cheaper and faster vs that of split inverter.
Hi Mergim curtains look.great with the view on the.back.
I actually love your unit. Its cozy.
The fancy mop feature is my fave! 😁 That exact item is a filipino staple. And I love BGC! Wish I could live there in the future. Cool vid! 👌
hehe yeah i know. Here in Canada houses are carpeted so no need for mops just vacuums
Thank you sir for sharing your video its nice to know it gives me of dea about the prices of condo in manila god bless 😇
Simplicity is nice..minimalism is trendy so maybe don't add too much so d space would not be compromised..if u wish to add artwork on your wall, I'm willing to send u my acrylic paintings.. I do landscape/ seascape canvasses 😊 if u gonna reply & see my comment..lol

Thanks for that info very informative 🤟
Invest here by buying a unit. When you're not here, you can rent it out. Juicy Vlog and Making it Happen both have more than 1 units in McKinley. I think right now, that's where it's good to buy, in McKinley Hills.
That seems like a good rate, considering the PRIME location. Of course you can get something cheaper but you seem to love that particular neighborhood in BGC and you love the basketball court. I would have gone for Burgos Circle area like Forbeswood (cheaper rents) or McKinley Residences since there are now good groceries nearby (Venice Grand). Hope you can show us the pool and gym. But if you are renting here, are you still paying rent for your Bangkok apartment as well? You haven't updated us on that.
I would go to Makati, near greenbelt and also close to century city and trump tower. Those places are cheaper yet also prime location, eapecially since its in bel-air area and close to Rockwell. Plus way more foreigners and tourists in that area if thats his vibe
Insightful vlog re PH living specifically in Manila!
Hi Boss I watched it and I just realized I appreciate how beautiful Laguna de Bay is. Ciao Muy Bien
Thanks for the info!
50k for a new 40 sqm condo room in Uptown BGC not bad! That's very good price.
