I just played my first games of ball hockey last night in about 20 years and this info was super helpful!
Edit: when the stick gets kicked at 11:00 is that a common move or is that controversial? I'm just the new guy with a very casual group so I don't want to piss anybody off.

Really common, you have to use it honestly, not only in corner battles but for takeaways/steals for example.
It's not cheesy or controversial haha :P

I miss being able to play indoor. Our local ball hockey arena got shut down due to landlords. Now we play when we can at rec parks. But if its wet out we cant play. Since its florida it rains every other day. Lol

good video but on the last point you can let him lift your stick but then go under and then lift his stick immediately - its like your baiting him into lifting your stick

Best pass in the middle? How about no that’s the worst thing to do! What should happen is the winger should come low to give the D a pass then push the ball up and cross court dump and chase for the opposite wing!

Hmmm in this tutorial we talked about what to do both from an offensive and from a defensive perspective. It may not have been super clear in the video, but on offense, we are saying that one of the best passes you can make is into the middle (assuming it's open). On defense, yes we agree that using the wall to get the ball out is usually the least risky way to get the ball out of your own zone!

@@wbhlwesternballhockeyleagu6838 Being that my coach of my traveling team who is a coach for the 2015 hockey championship Gorge Terintino when do US faced Czech Republic he would snap if we didn’t have a clean break out from dee to winger and then cross court dump defensively you could do one of two things you could set up a neutral zone trap or you can have both winners for a check which is called 2-1-2

@@JoeyOuso dumbass, they changed spots and now he is on offence with the ball in the other team's end near the net HE is shooting on. He clearly says that the best pass is to the middle to give someone a good chance to score.
