I love the shoebill...he's just so...bird. Best of all he doesn't follow you like other minions. He's almost like the campfire. But will fly if you go far enough. So players probably just see him sitting in weird places by himself.
He's great, I love how he's not too active and on occasion you can catch him starring at you, and if you /poke he does a thing.
Shoebill is my constant minion. He's all I have left of Emet. He likes to watch... Nothing more
The so called "Giant Beaver" does not have the traits of a beaver. The tail is short and stubby and not big, wide and flat. It also has fangs and not teeth designed for chewing through trees.
I humbly submit this creature is actually a "Werehamster" and should be renamed as such (to quote a friend in game).

What's even more terrifying is that if you do the Beaver questline there's a second part in Old Sharlyan...

Yeah I'm definitely surprised non of the minions tied to the Gridanian Goldsmith was brought up. Those being the Wind-up Succubus, Puff of Darkness, Wind-up Echidna, and Wind-up Calofisteri( is name dropped). The descriptions for the Little Leannan, Clionid Larva and Wind-up Athena are probably some of my favorites.
I think the Shoebill is what Emet-Selch uses to spy on the WoL. It only shows up in places he's in.

- Moenbryda minion was very WTF till they changed it after years in Endwalker

I always had a suspicion that the mud boss was actually poop, but the "crown" actually symbolizing a piece of corn was a shocking realization. That and the description HAS to be full confirmation.
And it makes sense since the whole questline is about getting the mud for its incredibly fertile properties, but we all know what fertilizer actually is...
I do not remember the music of that boss. But, if it was like an opera piece, then it would have been even clearer, as a reference to the Great Mighty Poo from Conkers Bad Fur Day.

Dark Hair Zepla looks like a fan fav villain after their redemption arc hence the flower in hair showing on the good guys side now
Feculent is the perfect word because it fits their sillyness in the best way. It actually gives them plausable deniability because it actually means "of or containing dirt, sediment, or waste matter." So they can say its just dirt, even though we all know better. =p

So you don't know about the goldsmith then...? Read the descriptions of any and all wind-up voidsent.
6:43 Watch the Ghibli movie "Pom Poko" for further information. A "funny" environment fantasy tale where the Tanuki can shape shift and use their inflated ball sacks as spring balls or spread them out to make gliders and fly with them.

There's also the Gridanian Goldsmith/Dollmaster minions: Influenced by encounters with Voidscent and the phantom realm, a mad/evil goldsmith crafted a series of minions of the Voidscent and the Gods before killing themselves. His other disturbing work carries over into the Sharlayan Library and the Lapis Manalis dungeon.
After all these years, Zepla and Koji should have a good talk.
Also the Yokai event was awesome. I enjoyed it a lot. Probably because I took my time doing it and didn't rushed it. Most people I know that hate the Yokai event said they rushed it to get the mounts.
Watching the movie Pom Poko (a fever dream in itself) gives the Bom Boko minion's description a lot more context lolol

I'm kinda surprised there was no mention of the line of minions of voidsent women, considering the lore tying them together with some creepy dude in Sharlayan, who you can read about in that one restricted section of the library that Y'shtola takes you to at one point in the Endwalker patches.

Damn, I can't believe the Great Serpent of Ronka was almost scrapped 😲 It's literally my favourite thing in all of the game, I've been obsessed with it since meeting it for the first time. I have more Ronka merch than of anything else 😀 Glory be to the SCREEE!

Glad to see you giving retail wow a chance and participating in plunderstorm, blizz definitely aren't perfect but they are certainly adding to the game in positive ways :) Hopefully they can build on this momentum and make it cool to play wow again

From these minions I have Fall Guys Pink Bean, Mangi Mut (Yokai) and Goobbue Sproutling. The most surprising was Tanuki! Another fun fact: Gestahl means stolen in Germany. You probably need to take shower after Poo Poo fight...

morbol seedling lore with the nobles makes me think of ancient history how the rich and powerful would induce themselves to vomit so they can continue feasting at their banquets. also... can't unsee the fall guys one. nightmare fuel.
Same here. I think it was a practice during Ancient Roman days? Eat yourself silly, go to a specific room to vomit it all out, go back to eating.

I'm surprised none of the "Gridanian Goldsmith's" minions are listed, tho (like the wind-up succubus). He was supposedly executed for ritual summoning. His story is spread among several minions, like the aforementioned succubus and the wind-up Echidna. There's even a book in the Great Gubal Library that talks about his obsession with Lady Amandine, the boss of Haukke Manor, and his desire to let a Voidsent possess her body for his own....uses.😳
Supposedly, the minions were a proxy since he couldn't get his hands on the body of the real Amandine.🥶
There's a book in Lapis Manalis as well that adds to the lore.

I'm disappointed the old description for Windup Moenbryda isn't on the list. "This anatomically accurate representation of Moenbryda was secretly crafted by none other than Urianger immediately following the untimely passing of his beloved companion. What he did with it before it passed to your hands is a tale best left untold."
He is to believed to actually be a Garlean as if you do Lapis Manalis there's a note that hints the maker of the 2nd boss is the same guy.
