    my final top tip...if you have a flush, but someone else has a bigger flush and that person raises you... you should fold.

    1:34 9.5 lmfao? Not even a 4x OOP against a open and two flats you should be going 14 at the absolute minimum

  • @BW-eo3rn
    @BW-eo3rn Před 6 měsíci +5

    1:45 that's not a particularly big 3 bet. Oop with 2 flatters, you could go like 14-15bb

    • @thebigdpoker
      @thebigdpoker  Před 6 měsíci

      GTO raise sizing here is around 11bb for chip ev so ya a bit small but I like to go a bit smaller in these tournaments as an exploit if I'm not jamming. Jamming would've been fine too

    • @BW-eo3rn
      @BW-eo3rn Před 5 měsíci

      @@thebigdpoker is that solution accounting for a 2.5x open and 2 flatters + being in the small blind? Seems incredibly small. Even without the flatters, it's typically 10bb to 3 bet oop.

    Purefly curious about your thought process... I appreciate as a default that I may (and likely) be naively totally flawed in my thought process but I have a question about the first hand ATss & in particular the turn decision....
    So on the turn, you pick up the gin card & therefore bags of equity as in, as well as top pair semi-decent kicker, we assume our kicker is likely good given the pre flop passive action right? So OTT we now have the NUT flush draw & also a gutter that should it come in we'd have the top end (but 1)... The stacks are 120bb effective (ours) and the pot is 25.... Why is your thinking "we get to check here" when we can assume to 1) have the best hand and therefore can get value from worse & 2) the SPR means we NEED to get more money in the pot IF we want to stack our opponent on the river.... Yeah, why check? When the villain's have worse flush draws and we hit our nut FD on the river we want the SPR to allow us get stacks in for max value.... Check back turn seems like a -EV decision to me at the moment.... Are you scared of getting x/r ott?

    • @gidaeonmeek4151
      @gidaeonmeek4151 Před 5 měsíci

      Yeah villain having a nutted hand like he does being a straight is just sooo unlikely and overall a small part of his range... Worse Ax is gonna be a huge part of a weak rec type players pre flop limping range as well as smaller pocket pairs & then suited K & Qx that have made 2n & third pair with BD draws.... When the river lands a spade in the as played scenario it sucks to NOT get all villain's chips when we cooler them, namean?

    How did you get 40k?

  • @gidaeonmeek4151
    @gidaeonmeek4151 Před 5 měsíci

    @10:50 KK 3b size.... Do you always 3b 3x like that? Does your 3b size change as the effective stack size flucuates.... when you 3b a much larger stack off 35bb & go to 9, about 30% of your stack is in the middle, it does not look like you will be 3b/folding don't you think? So essentially, half decent players will easily be able to fold reallly strong hands like 99-JJ, A9s-AQs etc.... I think you so much better off just over clicking it so villain opens 2bb you can go to 4.5bb - 5bb off 35bb... As long as you still have 3b/f for balance which you should and we'd be polar right? 89s, A6s typ hands, K4s Q8s etc... that size allows light cold 4b and 4b jams with worse for value from the blinds and also allows OR to defend with a dominated range and also 4b jam with worse

    • @gidaeonmeek4151
      @gidaeonmeek4151 Před 5 měsíci

      AKs same thing... u go 3x, off 29bb it just looks so strong... I'm going to go compare with Spraggy... and other established pros... see what sort of sizing they choose... I might be wrong but it just looks 100% nutted and therefore, exploitable.

  • @flowforrhythmsonics

    Jamming AK suited 30 bigs deep facing a min raise open is never fine. You played correctly but what you´re saying is misleading. regarding 11minutes in

    • @thebigdpoker
      @thebigdpoker  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I was considering jamming because the raiser was a loose donkey that I thought might call with worse. Sometimes you gotta deviate from GTO

      @@thebigdpoker Ok but in my experience donkeys would rather raise you all in trying to make a big play with nothing than to call off with nothing. But I agree GTO is not always the most exploitative strategy

      Widziałem już takich expertów ... Jak sami pasują przy blefie gracza amatora a później jak brakowało im stacków wchodzili za wszystko ze stosunkowo słabą ręką i balonik...
