I have the white CRC Rubicon it has a lot of sag to it hey, what can I do to pick the body up off of the wheels can I get oiled filled shocks for this that set it up higher or should I just try to find heavier springs for the factory shocks?
@@joesapia9732 you can relocate the springs from the shock mounts down to a spot on the frame rails themselves. Get alittle more flex as well.
I have the silver chevy C10 that i just put beadlock tires and a new suspension on, fuckin love it. Spent the last 2 months building an obstacle course for it.
I love all brands but I'm a sucker for classics that gun metal Chevy is definitely choice. Thanks for the awesome video.
I bought several of these and gave away all but one (Green Deadbolt) to my nephews and nieces, they all love it and bring it along to family events. Money definitely well spent, their joy is priceless.
These little trucks are absolutely epic! Lol. They are surprisingly capable right out of the box. A buddy of mine and I opened the two up, charged the batteries, and had a blast for over an hour! I'm planning on leaving the C10 stock, and modifying the JLU, and I do plan on adding a Deadbolt to the fleet.
I pre ordered the first run which where only deadbolts, I had it about close to year when I decided to swap out as much i as could, went to a Toyota hard body, brass diff covers, brass c-hubs. Losi trail trekker wheels, and super swamper boggers. Moved the leds into the stock head light housing and managed the interior as well.
I love my little jeep. I have left it bone stock and I still smile every time I take it out. I have built a small "mountain" for in the house but love just taking it out and wandering around driving over things with it. The battery runs forever and it just looks so cool bobbling around over walk blocks and roots in the yard. Much needed stress reliever!!! It was my pre-Christmas gift to myself last year :) May have to get a truck to go with it though, they look sharp but so do the bombers... great... now I'm gonna have to explain where another $300+ went to my wife!!!
Nice to see Budget friendly rigs and they look every bit a good as the 1/10 versions , especially when you do a little extra detailing of your own .
Have to say the old seafoam green C10 my fav 😲... an I'm a jeep gal , but that c10 brings back teenage memories.

I bought the yellow jeep for $120 and I bought an alloy metal front axle, brass diff cover, brass steering hubs and wheel hexes. I really like it. Awesome review 👍👍
I've just purchased one. Do you need to upgrade the motor if your adding extra weight with all the brass?
@@AAron2020xydfg you should. But you wont have to until it burns out. You will need to replace the servo with the emax one
I actually picked one of the grey chevys up at my local hobby shop earlier, I saw it and had to have it, it's so much cooler in person and it was 120 so cheaper than online

I have a 1/24 scale rc barrage truck and it's a lot of fun great for running inside the house when the weather outside is crappy.
I've loved RC's for years but this is the one that introduced me to the crawler world. Tons of fun inside and out. Took the next step and got a trx-4 sport and cant stop modding it! Lol

My son and I have the Jeep’s and love them. Took them on a camping trip last weekend and they did great over rocks and water.

I had a deadbolt when they first came out, gotta say the little 3mm headlights are the brjghtest 3mm lights ive ever seen, brighter than most 5mm lights
Place a square of painter tape. Cool color and tones it down. I got red dead bolt. Really enjoy it.

Right on, you bought the fleet !! I have the Yellow Jeep, still adding all the mods to it. I'm in Winnipeg, gotta give a shout out to Eliminator RC, today they hooked me up with the inner fender wells, metal steering links ( already upgraded the servo ) , and the best upgrade for the Jeep , TIRES !! ( RC4WD Scramblers ).
RC Athletes has been keeping me entertained with his indoor course ( and his unique style , LOL !!) built around this size.
I believe this part of the hobby will get bigger in areas like ours, and others, simply because of low cost ( for the quality level ), and ease of availability, along with truly great indoor possibilities !!
Never really cared for the Chevy trucks but that green c10 looks so good. One thing I love about the 1/24 trucks is, you can put 1/24 model car shells on them
I have the gray Chevy and I put after market shocks on it and it lifted it so the tires don't rub. Makes for a better ride!
I have the yellow jeep and i gotta say its probably my favorite rc. My baja rey and slash are great but i have to take them somewhere to drive them. The jeep i can drive in my house or small yard whenever i want

I have the yellow Jeep and I love it. I almost prefer it to 1/10th just because I don't need as much room.
Been trying to figure out which one to get. They are all sharp looking.
I have the grey c10 with every alluminum upgrades you can get with brass nuts and diff covers for weight and a new roll bar and custom 3d printed rock sliders and inner wheel wells with rock lights
I seriously have been looking at little cheap RC cars like this. Too poor to spend an exorbitant amount on them but still would really like to wheel. These are great options thanks for the video!

I wanted a Jeep SCX24, I ended up having to get a Betty (I know how horrible) it's mind boggling how fun these little trucks really are.
Square bodies are awesome! I’m restoring an 87’ Chevy Silverado pickup. I should probably buy one of those 67’s
the deadbolt models are more capable because the center link is shifted forward for better weight distribution and the body has no body rub and has a lower CG. plus the red deadbolt just looks so good
Just got they grey c10 from my LOCAL HOBBY SHOP for 119.99! All his inventory is on online also so I dont even have to go there. Remember when you shop online to filter by distance if its available, you're supporting your community and more often than not mail will usually deliver 100 miles faster than 2,900mi lol

Just picked up the fms atlas 6x6 for 136 and it is an awesome rig, it's 1/18th scale

Picking one of these up next month and I still can’t decide which one I like the most. They all are awesome.
I would go with the mini z 4 runner. Rochobby also just released their hardcopy Toyota land cruiser 80 series with all the excessories, rack, bumpers, spare tire, rear ladder not to mention all the hard body details. $170. That is what I went with. I jave a ton of crawlers so I went with something new not to mention I run an 80 series in the real world, ha. Couldn't resist especially since it is the exact replica of my daily driver, color and everything. The little axial rigs are nice but the smaller it gets the better the scale detail looks and the axial 24's just dont cut it as far as scale goes. The jeeps would be running 40+" tires and it is just too out of scale for me, but to each their own, no better hobby for it.
Todd Bertram I am probably going with the red deadbolt. The mini z is a little pricey compared to the scx24 and the deadbolt is the cheapest scx also. Cost wouldn’t matter to me so much but I am getting 2 of them and giving one away when I hit 3k subs next month. So it’s more just a cost saving thing.

I have the white jeep with around 200$ in upgrades, barrage motor, savox servo, rc4wd shocks, rc4wd tires and wheels, hot Racing extended axles and a hot racing aluminum steering linkage in probably forgetting something lol. These little things are so much fun to upgrade and tinker with. My friend has the c10 hooked up more than mine his is almost all aluminum..........Ford fan btw lol
Those lil suckers are pretty cool! My buddy has one that matches the 67 almost perfectly. One thing though and I’m not trying to be a dick, just some info. The term “squarebody” is reserved for the 73-87 trucks. The 67-72 are just a c-10. I have an 85 Silverado. I just thought I’d share that tidbit.
We call those work bench crawlers. There great for when the weather is not good for going out with the larger rc's.🤠

I have the white jeep totally maxed out with hopups mostly all HotRacing i have set.of wheels got off ebay tbey were 75 bucks wish i could send you a pic. and i have the grey c10 with bunch HotRacing hopups, full interior, changed out the black parts and put silver they are awesome glad you did this show

We bought the red one and the gray Chevy and if it excellent luck with them nothing has broke yet we've done a couple of mods. Great for 10-year-olds and big boys too

Not a crawler, but I just bought a traxxas latrax prerunner for 120$ and its alot of fun. Quite quick for a 1/18th rtr.

Me and my son are picking one up from a local hobby shop next weekend. I wish they made em in a F100 but I can live with the C10 or the deadbolt. I'm leaning towards the gray C10 (my buddy and his son already called the green c10). We'll throw some extra wheels in the bed and dress it up a bit.
I have the grey c10 and my buddy bought the green one and we traded the trim around so mine is the grey c10 with the chrome and it has the rc4wd 1.0 beadlock wheels and I also have a custom scx24 that I made into a 78 gmc truck I went to the hobby shop and bought a model and started cutting amd hacking until I made everything fit I even used the bumpers from the model kit but I love the scx24 they are the best 1/24 crawler ive had I also have a 1/24 barrage with a 78 ford f150 body on it and it looks awesome but its bouncy and it dont come close to the scx24

Bought the grey c10 love it. So far I did the wheel wights and moved the shocks to the frame. I wanted the jeep but I didn't wanna wait.
Growing up building hot rod trucks, I’m definitely a C10 square body fan! My first truck was a 72 step side. Just don’t get sexier than that!
I have a Losi micro Trail Trekker and I absolutely loved it but the main gearbox broke and I can't find parts anywhere. But that Black C10 would be a nice looking replacement.

Don’t forget changing out and adding accessories to it aren’t as expensive as 1/10 or even 1/5 scale repairs

Axial SCX24 isn't the only 1/24 scale rc out there for under $200.00. The HobbyPlus CR24 is an awesome rig and the FMS Atlas 6X6 is a beast. They promote the Atlas 6X6 as a 1/18 but it's a 1/24. As much as I love the my SCX24 and is the best performing one of the three I've listed, my favourite one is the HP CR24 and the the FMS Atlas 6X6 then the SCX24. The CR24 and the Atlas 6x6 can do everything the SCX24 on my backyard rock course but is a bit more of a challenge and more scale like action. The SCX24 is my cheat machine. It's more like a class 3 crawler and the CR 24 and Atlas 6X6 is more like a class 2.
A good mod to do on the Chevy C 10 is to take the front bumper off it helps clear stuff why better

I have the red deadbolt and the green Chevy, love them both, deadbolt crawls better and the green Chevy looks way better.

I bought one just for that. When don't have anything to do, but it's raining outside, I can still run around inside! Just recently gotten the idea from SOFLO LIFE RC .. get one of those retractable badge holders for a winch for these! Just need to install it.
There are 1:87 scale, or HO scale, r/c cars for model train sets too!.
My truck I currently daily drive is actually my first truck I've owned and I dont want to ever get rid of it. It a 2005 dodge ram 1500 LT crew cab short bed and its silver with smoked lights all around

My 9 year old daughters are getting scx24s we found a C10 cause were going to axialfest on summer vacation this next summer. One wants the jeep white or yellow. Lol she even likes the dead bolt cause it looks like a jeep. I like the other teal C10 but the grey one was cheap and good so I bought it. Still gotta get my wife her new SCX10.3 with a pink jeep lol thanks to someone with pinky. Lol.
I love the square body. I own a the teal c10. Loaded it up with brass and solder one the axles and in the wheels. It’s a very capable crawler even on a 1/10th course!

Great Comparison test! I have the Axial SC24 and love it. Already changed the shocks to HRs and soon will do another vid on upgrading to brass weighted parts and improved steering..
Just got a green scx24 deadbolt and I’m already hooked. These little things are a blast 👍🏻
I may have to get another. You can use the springs from a pentel energel bln75a and cut them to whatever spring rate you want for a cheap suspension setup.
