The 'W' is doing a bad job handling the star power of Clark. Whether they know it or not, they are putting soo many targets on her back when she just wants to hoop. There are smart ways to make your star feel like a star, but not at the cost of alienating the rest of the players, owners and fans. It's stupid beyond stupid.

Indiana Fever plays in conn. which is 11 hours away. Ny plays in DC which is 4 hours away. NBA teams don't even take charter plans when games are that close. WNBA needs to spend money wisely.

The Clarkies are triggered at the obvious bias that the league has towards Clark. But I get it. PROTECT THE GOLDEN GOOSE! She is worth it. She just NOT the only one worth it. And the fact that they are literally giving her team a competitive advantage, speaks volumes. It’s ok to say the quiet parts out loud!
Also please note the difference between A Clark Fan and a Clarkie.
Clark fans tend to be long time viewers of Clark, can honestly assess her and want the best for her AND the league.
Now, Clarkies ( on the other hand)…
Clarkies are EXTREMELY sensitive and easily manipulated bc they have tethered themselves to Clark in an emotional and personal manner. So that, ANY observation that doesn’t end with her being uplifted (to the degree that they see fit) is seen as hatred, jealousy or ignorance. It’s true delusion that was created by the media, politics, dog whistles and ego.
Clark is the savior of the league. Maybe. Do what you will with that simple and obvious truth.

I think because The Liberty has a 4hr drive to D.C VS Fever to Connecticut is 12 hour drive.
Probably not worth it , the mystics arena is a 4200 seat gym and not even sold out...
Knowing the waits at the ny airports .the 4 hr ride by chartered bus isnt bad. .kinda makes sense..of course longer distances flying. Is really only option...maybe a position of less than 5 hrs by bus..more than 5 by charted plane? So like the fevers would use bus if going to chicago to play.. Or la to las vegas? That would be fair.

Quita, what upsets me about this chartered flights situation is that they have fined owners in the past for getting their teams chartered flights, but they do it now and leave other teams out. It screams favoritism and lets keep it real; it comes off like it was done on Caitlyn's behalf. No one else. It is very unfair, because players have been complaining for years, but they never cared to bother for a full charter system till now. The WNBA seems to not care about their league or anyone who is not CC, or team that is not the Fever. It is really sad. I do think they should refund those team owners their fines, because it is not right at all.
Should the aces pay all the teams the money they were found to be paying their players off the books ? Return their titles ?

it gives them more time to rest, recover and practice. And the fact that the league doesn’t let the individual owners and had even fined previous owners for attempting to get private charters, is sad and quite telling

Yea that was when no one watched the league at all. More people were going to high school all star games.
Sooner or later all teams will get to fly, but they could have rolled it out in a better way.
But then again this also adds to the narrative that WNBA players are always complaining.
The league is trying to handle rapid growth, but they are going to make some missteps along the way.
They likely did not look to make sure flights were available on days needed in each region far enough in advance.

It is not unheard of to take a charter bus in WNBA. The Fever have taken buses to play Chicago Sky for years and not an airplane due to the neighboring states proximity.
They're contributing to the players' hate on CC. CC doesn't need that additional hate
Honestly yeah, that is the result. I think that video of Caitlin being followed around by the guy in the airport created a stir and maybe they were just trying to respond to that immediately, but it looks so bad.

I believe you are the only news outlet that has reported that only a few teams have Charter flights. This is new to me. I like that they are allowing charters and it is a step in the right direction.
The Fever got a charter flight because they are playing 7 games in 11 days. Both the Fever and the Lynx got charter flights due to grueling schedules. This was NOT due to favoritism.
Calling something an "competitive advantage" only to turn around give it to select teams while demanding other not use the service is very wild and blatant to me. The W is mismanaging a lot of things so far, and I'm not sure why.

I think this happened fast. They said they were getting them in stages, however if the team can arrange it quicker they should let them do it themselves. That’s crazy to say no.

Its because clark had to have it for security reasons....although 1 could argue angel and others more known stars need it right now too... So logistics and scheduling a delta charter is the issue??
But Brittney Griner was granted use of charter by herself last season due to safety concerns (or at least the league says that). They could’ve quietly granted Clark the same while they worked to figure this out and then made an announcement. They put the cart before the horse by making the announcement before they had a plan in place and there was no decision they could have made after that that would not have had poor optics.

Mystics arena is 4200 seats and not sold out , their game vs fever is in 20k seat wizards arena and sold out. The league has lost money 27 straight years...

This is a work in progress because of the league not thinking about charter flights until cc came in the league. This should of been done in the off season.
I do think that they should not have started it until they could cover all 12 teams or the teams that wanted to charter their own teams should be allowed to. I do understand the WNBA wanting to protect Clark and yes I know it sounds ridiculous but you know she is bringing a lot. I mean the Kaitlyn Clark affect is real and so I do think that we will see 1000 a year. I do think that we will see all of the WNBA and chargers but I think that we should also take a look at I watched a video last night on CZcams and it probably had over 500 comments on it. That said they wouldn’t of even been watching that video if it wasn’t for the Kaitlyn Clark affect so I think that people should really take a better look at that. Every team needs charter flights, but we don’t know everything that happened when CC went through the airport last time. How do we know something didn’t happen. You protect every player as much as you can. They will get this figured out soon.
well 8900 tickets where sold to caitlin clarks game avg ticket price was 534 dollars just to stand at the very top of the arena was 98 dollars bc of the limited tickets thats around 4.6 millon dollars she broght to the wnba in 1 game i bet that liberty game didnt make a quarter of what clarks games will bring and that shows you she desereves it since her name is whats gonna pay for those flights the fever game avg 2.1 millon views while the aces game only avg 472k caitlin clark is bigger than the wnba by herself

Delta has a big presence in Minneapolis .I work for a airline it takes some time to get things lined up for charter flights logistics in and out of different airports depending on Delta’s presence into those cities you need Flight crew ground crew it nothing like flying domestic flights where they have schedules on a daily basis lets hope the WNBA can get it done rolling this out as the season is beginning is rough it should have been put in place months ago

What other professional sports league organizes the charter flights for all of their teams? You want to push decision-making down the organization chart to the lowest level that it's effective; micromanaging plainly sucks. One can only imaging the WNBA league staff when they're told to charter all 12 teams travel schedule for the 30-ish gam season. I'm sure the staff had a lot of experience with doing that. Not a knock on the staff but I'm sure they have a lot on their plate w/o that new project suddenly dumpted on them.
Let the individual teams charter their own flights. You think the NFL, NBA, etc. tells their teams "Oh, that's too nice a jet-it's not fair!" Charter beats commercial; it's as simple as that.

It's nit being organized well,but the WNBA has needed this kind of quality treatment from day one. I'm no longer watching the NBA because its wrong their getting ABC coverage, but rarely is the WNBA on ABC. Many don't want to pay cable fees, but when you see the huge discrepancies in salaries and TV coverage between the NBA and WNBA then it hits yiu sideways. I can't imagine the gut feekings of all the WNBA players. The problem isn't the women players ir even tge coaches or WNBA organization, It's sexism.
Maybe it was part of Caitlin Clarks contract that charter flights were part of the deal.

Is it possible for the WNBA to handle this fortunate infusion of interest and publicity any worse than they have? Truth be told,this league would have collapsed in bankruptcy were it not for being propped up by the NBA's money.As a man who actually enjoyed watching women's basketball for years because of the teamwork and fundamentals they used to play at a high level in lieu of the above the rim,blatant traveling that was never called and outrageously long seasons that never end in the NBA world. But now the league has devolved into a bunch of tatted up lesbians who mostly play bad basketball and can't go five minutes without berating an official. A really bad look but then look who the majority of coaches and admin people are. I hope they get it together because there are a lot of really good female players who deserve better.
these resources cold of been placed elsewhere, like for all teams to use the NBA practice facilities. thus, security and limited access to outsiders which coulda of avoided an less documented incident. flying commercial and or business would of been an better option until this "charter" situation was thoroughly planned out and or affordable for the organization because this is an perk, that can have an positive/ negative effect on players and give respective advantages and disadvantages energy and performance wise.

No team should be fined for providing their own charter flight! This is why they didn't want the players or coaches to speak on it. I like Cathy too, BUT this is ridiculous. Come on now, out of all of the teams you start charters with Indiana??? It makes absolutely no sense. They are causing division. Why not explain all of that AND start with the last year finals teams! Yes they should. The WNBA provides insurance to these players, if these girls get hurt on a vehicle not sanctioned by the WNBA, the insurance company will not pay out. Anything these ladies do have to get approved by the WNBA.

The goal of this channel is to educate, inform people about what’s happening in WBB. It’s not to be a mouthpiece for anyone. Yes I am cheering for the WNBA, almost all of my videos are celebrating the league and the players, but the league aren’t perfect and I have no problem stating that.
If you want to watch a channel that never has any critique of the league, you might just need to create your own channel.
In general I think people are too sensitive; it’s not hate to acknowledge reality. It’s ok to disagree with my take but to say I’m acting like a child and say that I am pushing hate is way off. But as always I welcome the comments so keep them coming
