    Man, thank you for this video! Always wondered how low you can get a CV swap! Really appreciate the highlight on the Outcast Autoworks control arm mount, too!

    Is that the ride height on the front with stock crown vic springs? Amazing work, and content! Love your channel brother.

      It would be close, maybe 1" higher, but this setup has aftermarket coilovers adjusted to sit low. No motor or trans in here yet, so it will settle another inch, inch and a half once that weight is in there.

    I am interested to see your 4v in Frank with the frame Z. It looks like the vic crossmember naturally sits the engine lower. I swapped a 5.4 2v into my 67 using the the Ibeam suspension. It barely fit under the hood.

    • @hueyfabllc4987
      @hueyfabllc4987  Před rokem

      Yep. The vic cradle sets the engine several inches lower than stock. With the frame zee, it still puts the 5.4 intake below the cowl pinch weld under the hood.

    It’s been along time since your last video, I was wondering if you had just quit with CZcams videos. Film more of the whole process of the work and post it up on here. I’d love to watch it when I can fit it in.

    Is it possible to do this workout removing the cab from the frame, is there enough room to do that with can bolted down?

    • @hueyfabllc4987
      @hueyfabllc4987  Před 8 měsíci

      Unfortunately no, the cab mounts need to be removed and re installed to make a cut far enough back for the vic trailing arm. Now, if using a different front suspension, it is possible.

  • @johnjordan2869
    @johnjordan2869 Před 11 měsíci +1

    Whats the measurements of the line's you marked on the frame. And whats the measurements on the front. Thanks

    • @hueyfabllc4987
      @hueyfabllc4987  Před 11 měsíci

      In this case it was 2.5", but its based on how much you want to lower the truck around the suspension. Anything more than 3" is going to require more sheet metal work to the cab for Driveline clearance.

  • @procharged6854

    Im trying to determine the amount Im zeeing my frame, Im wanting it to sit low (not quite as low as frank sits but close), I purchased all of outcasts rear suspension, but then also got the viking front coilovers that are already lowered from stock crown vic stuff. Have you ever zee'd a truck using coil overs up front? If so how much did you go?

    • @hueyfabllc4987
      @hueyfabllc4987  Před rokem +1

      Every truck I've zee'd had coilovers. This one has ridetech, did another one with vikings from f100performance. My green truck (video on this channel) is zee'd with ridetechs as well, but I'd consider it as low as you can get. Meaning, you could adjust the coilovers up 1-2" and achieve your desired height. The Fred truck (video on this channel) is stock frame rails, cv front, viking coilovers adjusted as low as you should go on stock rails.
      Hope that helps!

    • @procharged6854
      @procharged6854 Před rokem

      That helps a lot thanks! I was thinking of just doing 1" zee, Ill look some more at the other trucks youre referencing and judge how much lower Id want it from there.
