I was one of 350,000+ metalheads, rockin out and partying in the desert. Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions and Van Halen to close out the night. I’ve seen some great shows throughout my life, but this definitely was one of the best. Triumph was by far the best band that day. The lineup that day in order was Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions, ending with Van Halen. At the time of Triumph’s appearance, the crowd was estimated at 350,000! Middle-aged Canadian here! It was a rare day growing up in the 80s that I *didn't* hear at least one Triumph song on the radio. (Along with legendary Toronto boys Rush, of course!) So Donna, I'm guessing you know the great Rik Emmett's voice from "Magic Power," which was by far their biggest hit here (among many), and was probably their biggest song south of the border as well. If you hear that song, you'll probably remember it, and your daughter and granddaughter will love it!
PS: Also, Donna, Since you're younger than me, it's completely impossible for you to be a grandmother. Just ask my cat how irresponsibly youthful I still am! Oh shit, I forgot to feed the cat. Anyway, not quite ready for kids here.

Plus, most if not all of their songs were uplifting feel good songs. This was a huge heavy metal concert and they knocked it out of the park! In my opinion Rik Emmett may be the best lead singer lead guitarist combo of all time. His voice is just amazing but he's also one hell of a guitar player. In this same concert he plays his electric guitar like a classical guitarist and it is just amazing. You need to check out Lay it on the line. You may have heard this song possibly. I was there that day (all weekend long, actually). Their set was one of the highlights of the entire festival. This has long been one of my favorites by them because of the performance and the message in the song.

That was the US festival in san bernardino, california in 1983. Known as heavy metal sunday including bands Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions and headlining band Van Halen. It drew 250,000 people i was lucky enough to be there, it was awesome ! You guys did a reaction to Judas Priest from the same show, i remember donna`s reaction, lol.

@@KathyLuluandDonna On that day Triumph was accompanied by Toronto MuchMusic VJ JD Roberts who is now the main Fox News Anchor John Roberts. Triumph drummer Gil Moore met the US Festival founder and patron Apple Computer's Steve Wozniak and asked him to introduce Triumph on stage. Surprised and flattered Woz accepted.

Can’t argue with what the others are suggesting for other Triumph songs. I will suggest one of Rik’s solo songs from his last album and that is Human Race.

Rik Emmett and Geddy Lee from Rush are both from the Toronto area and sounded very similar to me on a lot of songs back in the day. 😉
