@@TheFilipinaPea Hi, I've been watching for a while now. You're videos are great. Love the interviews with your mature guest's. Hoping to maybe meet one some day.

His channel, like this one, offers good info for those who are considering coming to the Philippines for retirement. Nice job Pea - this was a great interview. Now that the sandal has dropped, are you going to show Evan the ropes? 😂😋
Miss Pea, a wonderful interview. I watch Evan often, as he has some great advice, and insight to coming from a western world, to the Philippines. I know he lives in a higher standard of living than many of us older expats living on a lesser way of finances, but like you he gets his point across very well. I thank you both so much. 😊

@TheFilipinaPea the first two years was very hard for me to adjust living in Taiwan especially that's when covid19 steered. Ms Pea true there are some advantages as to living in Taiwan compared to America but they are things I cannot stand.
Hi Pea and Evan: I have been a subscriber of Evan since the beginning....and Pea even longer. 😊 Both of you have complementary information about the Philippines, but not in a competitive way. I am happy to hear from you both.
Very cool interview, Pea! Wow, there was a LOT unexpected here. To start with, I never even thought of the concept of a 100% Filipino, born and raised in the United States, who then moved permanently or semi-permanently to the Philippines. I have had some very good friends that were 100% Filipino, that were born and raised in the U.S., but they were just like Evan, knowing nothing about the Philippines and they certainly never seriously thought about going back there to live. One of them, aged around 22-26 when I knew her, ended up buying a BMW after getting a fairly high paying job on the West Coast. So, yeah, she was fully Westernized. To me the fact they were Filipino meant nothing, because they seemed like typical Americans, no different than myself, and they were not different. The next unexpected thing was Evan saying his true age is 19. That was a shocker. I was thinking 27 or 28 and I even saw another comment saying 28, so it's not just me. I think it's the level of easy tactfulness, intelligence and maturity he demonstrated. He is officially "Gen Z" and that gives me hope. So many in that category are wayyyy off, in terms of desirable characteristics when it comes to behavior or attitude. We need quality people, especially youth, like Evan to remain in the U.S., so it doesn't completely go downhill! I also love the concept of Evan = Pea, just opposite. Very cool description. The last thing I'd say is that guy is like designing a "dream guy" Terminator. He is clearly good looking, but he has the appeal of being a knowledgeable, educated "foreigner" to locals, while at the same time being native to the land in terms of heritage/belonging. So that means (I guess) that he is allowed own land (?) and start businesses etc. with all the welcome of any other Filipino, right? The way things work in the U.S., we have birthright citizenship, which means if a U.S. citizen has a child that is born outside the U.S. that child is still a full U.S. citizen. I'm guessing something like that is true with the Philippines. And Evan is not yet in his strongest years for male desirability, since he is only just starting to obtain a lot of valuable wisdom and (I'd guess) valuable resources. Success on CZcams can of course help in that department. I wish him the best of success!
Great interview. I’ve met Evan in BGC and used to watch his Savvy Expat CZcams before I moved to the Philippines last year. He’s a very personable and smart young man. I find his content very useful and on target.

We were nearly subject to being taken to the US as kids. Dad got a job near Boston. Sort of glad we stayed in the UK in the end! Often wonder how the kids feel? 🥰❤
Pea, me being a retired business owner I'm always impressed with how well you treat the competition. Here in the U.S. it is a dog eat dog competitive attitude or the big fish eat the little fish. It took me about two decades to realize it's better to get along and be a friend to the competition. Evan may be only nineteen but mature for his age and obviously a product of good parenting. I know guys who are thirty nine and act nineteen so maturity depends on the person not the age so much. The older one gets the wiser they become, not necessarily more mature. BTW I have wondered about your shoe falling off. lol
Good evening Pea. I would not live in the Manilla area. Not fond of large cities. Give me the calm countryside anytime. Good interview Pea. Take care and I'll see you Tuesday.
Great interview pea. I loved his explanation of the type of woman he sought. It’s also mine. I’m bored with subservient women or opinion-less ladies, but i have a hard time differentiating a latent tendency of someone who “meets me, likes me, loves me, now change” from a woman who simply says i’m a good guy and please stay the way you are.
I initially moved to Bangkok and characterized it similarly - a very modern international city above the skytrain and very urban Thai at the street level. A bit of both local and international. I also wanted to live in a big city for the first time and I am glad I did. I would be bored residing by the beach.
Good Morning Pea!! I don't know this guy, but I will see what he has to say BTW.. Some of you old advice has saved me again. I asked my gf to go to Boracay with me. She said OK and asked if we could take her grandmother with us because she had never been. I said, I'd think about it. Then she said her aunt would be back from abroad and she wanted to bring her along too. I said Sweetheart. I really just want so spend such special time with you. She said, you are so sweet. Hehehehehe!! Thanks Pea.
As a Fil-Am, I had no problem explaining to the locals that I was born in the states and don’t speak Filipino. However, I did tell them that my parents never taught me. It was pretty simple lol
And do you explain it to every single person you meet? Cause I’m assuming others keep talking to him in Tagalog and he only responds in English. You can’t just explain your life story to every single random stranger lol. Yet they might see you cocky by speaking English only.
@@manchesterr85Yes. I explained it to every person who conversed with me. Is that a problem? 🤷🏾♂️ I didn’t explain it to service workers, but they also didn’t give me any impression that they thought I was stuck up. It doesn’t take any more than 30 seconds to tell them what provinces my family is from and that I’m from the states, so it’s not exactly a life story. They’re always very excited to hear that I am from both worlds and start asking even more questions.
@@jonestraloma that’s you, and not everyone is the same. But when someone speaks to a Filipino looking guy in Tagalog and he can’t respond or only responds in English, I can see how others look at him as cocky, arrogant person. There are millions of situations when you don’t wanna disclose your background or you’re just tired of doing it and others will obviously label you for not wanting to communicate in “your native language” Even if it’s a temporary situation, I can definitely feel his pain. Maybe he has a much bigger network than you and meets up with much more (new) people than you. :) and he’s tired of starting with: hey nice to meet you I grew up in the USA and nobody speaks Tagalog in my family. It’s awkward either way.
@@manchesterr85I’m only telling my story and trying to give any other Fil-Ams an alternative to being accused of being stuck up. I’m not trying diminish this guy’s lived experience, but I want everyone else to know that there’s an easy way out of being looked at like that. Appreciate your passion ✌️

Pea, when are you coming to the UK and Europe, I kind of feel your strong affiliation with the USA, but I would really love it you could see and experience another side of the west too.

PEA, You are great. Tanks for Great contents an great humor. Sending love and Prayers
We were nearly subject to being taken to the US as kids. Dad got a job near Boston. Sort of glad we stayed in the UK in the end! Often wonder how the kids feel? 🥰❤
I’d be interested to know! 😳👍
Evan has a great and informative channel!
Thanks Eugene 👍😊
Me too Shar 👍😊
After she's back from USA, she wants to live in bgc, leaving the province
Thanks Pea.
a woman who can challenge or give an opinion about ur thoughts and ideas.. 👍 I like that too.
Always good to see you pea.
How did you see me pea - I closed the door!
Elon strikes again 🤣🤣🤣
As a proud Canadian .. Happy to see that Timmies, (Tim Hortons) has reached the Philippines . have seen them in the Middle East in the past 7-8 years . Enjoy !♥
Yes, they’re here in Manila now 👍👍
But are they other places in the PH? It’s something I missed in China!

We got Tim Hortons at SM Clark. Where all the foreigners live 😊
I like this guy. I'm going to check his channel out..
I've watched Evan before. Cool content but TBH your content is more my speed and aligns with what I'm looking for in retirement.
And I’ll keep it coming, Saul - thanks ❤️
Very cool to see another channel we watch being interviewed by Pea!
I get around 🤣👍
Thanks for showcasing him and introducing me to him.
He articulates himself very well and projects himself with such clarity, maturity and wisdom, way beyond his mere 19 years of living on planet earth.
Would love to see and hear his outlook on life as a 50 year old.
What is BGC by the way?
Pea, when are you coming to the UK and Europe, I kind of feel your strong affiliation with the USA, but I would really love it you could see and experience another side of the west too.
Well I used to live in the UK, but I’m not sure when I’ll be able to come back 😢
BGC is Bonifacio Global City, within metro Manila 😊
Our ambush interviewer just met her equal! TWO very astute conversationalists wringing out the topic. Well worth the time.
Fox out
Pea:
Are you trying to get me to want to come to the Philippines even more than I already want to go? TIM HORTON'S COFFEE is my all time favorite take out coffee in the world.
The list of reasons I want to travel to the Philippines has just gotten longer! Beautiful women, Friendly people, Breath taking scenery, Warm climate, Economically friendly cost of living, and now you add Tim Horton's to that list! How much better can the Philippines get?
Great interview by the way, and funny ending.
Always wishing your Peace, Love and Happiness my friend.
Come get your Tim Horton’s, CK! 🤣🤣
(and on a separate note, guess what I picked up while here in Manila?) 😊
@@TheFilipinaPea I hope that what you picked up brings a smile to your face, and brings you some enjoyment.
Great interview P, and Evan you did great young man
Thanks Critter! ❤️❤️👍
From cold, windy Chicago to warm and sunny Philippines. I would think that wasn't a bad thing, although I love cold and snow.
I'm sorry, but this last girl could not have been a BGC Pea if she was boring.
He seems to be settled here now for sure 👍
Not having ice cold fresh milk in the Philippines was my #1 food item I missed when staying in Manila. I finally found fresh milk at S&R (Costco) but priced $6-$8 a gallon compared to $1.99-$2,49/gallon in Indiana. It is shipped in from California and tastes like home. You must consume it within 7-10 days which is no problem. My Asawa always has fresh milk and Pepsi which is not always easy to find) for me when I arrive in our home in Parañaque.
@@MrSatman2000
Oh how I wish I had an S&R here! 🥺🥺
what a surprise to see Evan on your channel. nice interview Pea!
Yeah, I believe he was interviewed by FILIPINA UNFILTERED. She lived in the US from age 5 and visiting the Philippines for 2 months. You really should really interview her, she's about 57.
Perhaps I will 👍😊👍
....this was long overdue. Good show...
24:40 Look at Pea robbing the cradle. You naughty, naughty girl. 😂😂😂😂
Apparently I’m not a very good thief - you caught me! 🤣🤣🤣
Evan is great. Smart and a good presenter of top notch information, especially on BGC.
Good interview. Pea has an amazing "Coppertone" tan!
25:40 MASSAGE 💆♂️ HAPPY 😊 ENDING
Awesome. 😊
i am subscribed to his channel. good stuff
When I told my psychiatrist sometimes I feel like a wigwam & sometimes a teepee, He referred me to a MASSAGE THERAPIST?? Turns out I was just 2 tents. Good video for your viewers and thoughtful exposure for Evan. Thanx Pea !!
And I know just what to do when a client makes a ‘tent’. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha too funny I was actually waiting to see if you mention or show them off again!
But again should we be surprised? This is the girl who had Fridgee tickle her feet and unpeel a banana!
Evan is spot on about is Chicago fix need… I’m living in Chicago and those things I would certainly miss also. The young man is really brilliant. I love the interview and the candor. He is definitely a breath of fresh air as to getting information about the different for him living in the city versus the province. Very good. 😊
Good video Pea take care always your friend and biggest fan Daniel. ❤️🌼🌼🌼🌹
❤️
Hey, I have watched his channel before the Pea. I found this channel from a youtube recommended video post from watching his and other random ones. But this is my favorite.
the collab we needed. I was a subscriber of both of you
Great interview Pea! Another learning experience watching this one. 👍
Hey pea! I hope you have a great weekend ❤
And I hope YOU have one, TotP ❤️👍
This guy is way ahead of his years. He'll do very well in life.
Nice interview Pea by the way your color looks great today thanks for this video💕
Interesting interview. Thanks!
Darius! Glad you could make it, my friend 👍❤️
Very interesting video. Well done.
The Phillipines is an absolutely beautiful country with the most welcoming people. I can't wait to go back again.
My wife and I have a place in a city in the north. Once retirement hits for us though, we will be living in Philippines for about 4 months. We just got back this past July looking for another property. Found a condo in Baguio. Absolutely loved Baguio. Beautiful city, and the climate is a lot more tolerable.
The shoe drop at the end was great. Evan is mature beyond his age. He is also very well-spoken.
I don’t care what the topic is, I find myself intrigued each time.
Nice video guys. I can't wait to be on one of your shows.
