Searching 1,000 $1 Bills from the Federal Reserve for Fancy Serial Number Star Notes!

- My first live stream (reuploaded!) Are Star notes rare? I'm going to search this 1,000 back of $1 Dollar bills from the Federal Reserve. Let's see how many Star Notes or Fancy Serial Numbers I can find. This is the kind of stuff I do when it's slow at West Tennessee Gold & Silver Exchange!
Have several star notes from all denominations except 10 notes. Just found a 1dollar Bill with crazy margins, real narrow on one side and top. Never have looked them up.
I always thought most straps from a reserve would have all consecutive serial numbers
There are star notes that sold for as much as 12k I’m amazed that 90 percent of collectors don’t realize that or atleast the one on you tube. Obviously you have common ones found a lot but some are super rare
its not hard to find a Star Note but its hard to find a Rare Star Note. Depends on how many were printed for that run. some of the runs were only 16,000 made and some they printed 3.2 million. they are not all consecutive notes either. depending on when the error was found during production. So finding one is not hard but to find the Rare Low Run Star Notes. I have found hundreds of star notes, but only one has been Rare.
It’s really unfortunate that, that 1963 note said 51 as opposed to 15, as that would have been my birthday note. 😭

@@WestTNExchange Yeah, I was watching and for a moment, got pretty excited, then immediately was like, “dangit!! It just figures”. Lol. You’re most welcome. I collected bills and coins and stamps as a child and so wish I’d kept up on the hobby. But alas, here I am, decades later, just getting back into the fun. It’s all about the thrill of the hunt. In the past few weeks I’ve found a few star notes (nothing valuable that I can see, but cool just the same), a couple of binaries and trinaries and repeaters. I have a book end and some repeaters, a few near solids (I work with cash), so it’s been quite enjoyable. Thank you for the time and effort you put into getting this information out here to the masses. It’s appreciated.

Hey there! I'm not sure. I didn't notice it when I was recording. Those bills are long gone now. I will be doing a part two to this in the near future. Keep an eye out for it! Will be doing a live.
