  • My very first Time melting Copper and pooring Bars. Just the first Step into something completely new to me. My Plan is to keep pooring Bars to get a feeling on it at different Metals before I go further and do maybe Sandcating or lost PLA Casting. But one Step at the Time ;-) Have fun watching

You did way better on your first few pours than others I have been following for years. Well done sir!
Very nice ingots! The top surface of a wire brushed copper bar looks like the surface of Mars 😁👍

You would never know that this was your first time, absolute pro, you and metal are like peas in a pod lol! Loved the bars, nice touch putting the little bars together to polish the sides 😉

Now you did make that look easy, just shows how proper preparation makes for good results.
What was the piece of red card for under the crucible… perhaps a prayer to the smelting gods

LoL it was just a piece of cardbord I had on Hand to keep the Crucibel from sticking to the Firebrick. 😉

      Thank you Glen.
These bars are made to safe space. Of course there will be a later use, such as making Alloys or remelt them for Sandcasting etc.
But Step by Step, this is completly new to me and it will take a good while to get there I guess

Richtig gute Arbeit. Die ersten Barren sind schon was besonderes.
    Allerdings noch 2 wichtige Punkte.
Ansonsten sehr cool. Freu mich auf mehr.
    Grüße

      1. Hab ich gemerkt....
      2. Ich lager alles in nem beheizten Raum. Da wird nicht soviel feucht sein. Und gerade das was ich da reingeworfen hab steht schon seid Monaten da.
Nochmal zu 1. Alter was hab ich mir die Flossen verbrannt 🤣🤣🤣🤣
