This is my wife’s and My favorite place. We have visited here so many times, seeing all the staff brought me such a smile! Enrique, George, everyone. It has inspired us to retire here in a couple of years. This is an amazing very special boutique hotel and we Love Love Love downtown PM.
Awww yes I realize that people love seeing the workiers that they ee every vacation so I am going to tryto be better to include them in the resort walk throughs I do! I have others coming up!

I too was feeling it would be the beginning of the end of the quaint town but as you say it is what it is. We stayed a few buildings down a few years ago and loved the reggae band playing outside. I have to say, this place is beautiful and the vibe is 100!
Hola Trish, Tracey here! Met you by chance at Blue a few weeks ago and shared a table and enjoyed a margarita and some great conversation for a few mintues while waiting for our tostadas. So nice to meet you! Thanks for another great and informative video. Like you, I have very mixed feelings about the growth and changes within Puerto. In the 7 years since I've been coming, this past visit was the most shocking! So much construction... so many "high rise" condos :( Luckily, the lovely people of Puerto Morelos are still as warm and welcoming as ever.
Hi Tracey!!! Yes! I remember!! The people are changing as well, unfortunately. People want to move to a laid-back town but are bringing their stress here and acting crazy. The honking and the people getting angry with restaurants and other things that they dint understand the culture of Mexico. It gets them frustrated, and then they take it out on social media, those in the service industry, or driving.

I love the way you showed the Hotels and condos, I think that by the hotels building those hotels so close to the beach it will take away from the view of the beach by locals also it might restrict beach access also.@@MyTrishAdvisor

Funny as we planned to visit Puerto Morelos during the pandemic but we never made it. Had to cancel our stay in Nuevo Vallarta and return to the US. It was still very beautiful. Your videos are inspiring! Thank you!

Nice rooms, great view from the rooftop, beautiful pool! I have mixed emotions about the tall hotels as I do about Tren Maya (which I hear is on hold for section 5 south). The small fishing village will be no more and I understand how difficult that is for the locals who grew up there. As you said, the change has happened so people have to adjust. Staying mad will only make you miserable every day.

Thanks! I had fun to show you the place! Yes as far as snorkleing in the shallow are a you will see tiny fish, small rays, needle fish and barracudas too! ITs better to walk down from the Fives and go in front of CAyuse and snorkel there! Bring your own snorkel gear and its free and amazing! Love of coral and tons of fish there! Its about a 10 min walk.
The good news is it is at the end of the road. We stayed like 3 buildings down from the square (Ikal Residences) and had a great roof top pool. You could sat the roof was the fourth floor.

I stayed there about 2 years ago non-AI and was surprised the room had a beautiful kitchen but no silverware, cups, plates, etc. Basically because we didn't do AI the refrigerator was all we got to use in the kitchen 👎🏼

We loved your video. We are stating at The Fives in June with the all-inclusive package. We were wondering how much we should tip the various staff members. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Awesome.....well the smart thng for the hotel (and the workers) is that they bring our "bill" even when it is AI! So it shows you what you would have spent so I think a good # is 10% -15%. I usually tip 20% if the service is REALLY excellent but the prices are a bit higher here so a little lower percentage is fine and I still think very fair! I would still tip 20% if I feel that is was over the top service.

It’s a very lovely hotel but very poor service. Slow. Disorganised. More like 4star for that reason. Not sure if it changed over time but as someone who’s stayed at many 5star hotels around the world this was the worst one I’ve stayed at. The town is beautiful but the hotel staff are badly managed. It’s not the oberoi or even close.

The beach is always calm of sorts because we have the reef outside the shore. Sargasso I can not predict.
