Wanna see more things like this? Let me know what you need simplified in your vintage style, and I'll do my best to make more! xoxoxo
Yes more simple vintage!! I love your videos!
I watched your pin curl Tiktok and I’m always into pin curling and brush out videos even when they’re the same over and over lol. And if you know of more vintage style brands that have extended plus sizes I think that’s something my vintage friends are always interested in.
I like your recipe and trying to spend the day as a fifties housewife stuff too 😝
You can never go wrong with easy ways. Nothing is too easy for us busy women. I appreciate this video a lot, thanks.
I love this bee earrings. They're too cute! I just bought my first silk scarf from the thrift store yesterday, so this is perfect timing for me!
They're from Femme De Bloom a nd I LOVE them! And yay for thrifting scarves!
Thank you for content like this! Sometimes a personal care practice vintage or not becomes so involved and overwhelming its no longer fun! Just look at these hairstyles like the "yoga pants days" of the past. ;) Thanks Lady!
So busy when I watched this I forgot to say, sometimes we need reminders pretty and fun styles that make us feel great can be so easy. Also, my first reaction to your sweet baby's noises in the background will always be awww! No need to apologize for one more reason I smiled at this video.
lol I think I explain her presence more because I always get curious about background noise in other peoples' videos than anything else!
I'm convinced you can make anything look good 😍 Your style is just so so adorable!
My favorite was the yellow bow hairstyle 🤩
@@SincerelyHerself that is such a cute one! Thank you!
My hair is my “I quit” area, I never know what to do so I usually do nothing and it kind of ruins whatever look I am trying to do. So thank you for this, definitely need more easy vintage tips especially with hair!
Same!
Don't quit. A simple bun and a flower clip also Go a long way... A vintage hat with a simple bun also Go a long way...
Ponitail with a bow or pigtails and a hat or bows. Small ribon bows can look so cute and not childish.
I love all TheBusyHoneyBee's suggestions, but yes! I often just don't have time to put into my hair, so these are my go-tos.
Don't apologize for being a mom . I get it your family is first .. she sounds like she is enjoying her self that is all that matters ... Thanks for this . Ad I don't normally wear headscarf but was wanting to look into it maybe as I have a tiny human myself and most days don't get to do my hair!
I loved this. I have a drawer full of scarves and have no idea how to use them lol so this was extremely helpful.
haha be careful or you'll become me, with two suitcases and more full of scarves! ;)
Thanks for this video. I don't think its stupid. It gave me ideas and that's a good thing. Inspiration!
I never wear headscarves but I really want to. Thanks for showing me how!
You should! They're the best way to combat bad hair days!
Oooh la la! Carmen Miranda 🍍🍌!
I grew up in the 60's a Boomer born in the late 50's and as I child I recall the 40's Fantastic headdress of this beautiful Latin film 🌟. I am fascinated by the ease and glamour of this head wrap.
Kudos! Thank you for revisiting the forties fad and proving that you don't need a Hollywood make- up artist to pull this off!
You absolutely don't have to be a hollywood makeup or hair artist to do vintage style!
I need this for those lazy days! I'd love to see different easy ways to wear jewelry? I'm not sure, but whatever you make will be amazing ❤
Oooh yes! I can do this, I have so much jewelry lol.
Beautiful!! And no this wasn’t a silly video, my ridiculous butt can NOT get a headscarf to work. So this is supremely helpful!
GO FORTH AND GOOD LUCK! lol now if I see you wearing a headscarf I'll know it's because of me right? ;)
Omg I’ve been wanting to learn some different ways to wear my headscarves!! Thank you for this !!! ✨
Yaaay good luck!
Loved this! Would love to see a lot more like this. I’m poking my toe into vintage style and hair is by far the hardest for me to get a handle on.
Vintage hair definitely seams very overwhelming at first, I'm going to try to make a vintage hairstyles video soon!
Aww, now I'm going to have to find some pretty scarves. I have a feeling I'll need to use the hairspray on my scarves because my hair is super slick.
Let me know how it works! Somehow I still haven't tried that, lol.
This was super helpful, thank you!
Yay! After your answer to my Q & A question, I bought some more scarves at the Salvation Army and I'll definitely be trying all of these styles!
Yaaaaaay! Thrifting scarves is the best!
Great video. Simple and easy to follow. I'm going to try some of these on my "I don't want to deal with my hair" days.
lol let's be real, that's basically me EVERY day.
Thank you so much for the education. I have been needing this❤❤
Thanks so much! I have a few sheer headscarves and watching this video encouraged me to try it out! It is so hot here and popping my hair up to keep cool and looking glamorous at the same time is a win for me! 😘😘
I'm all for keeping cool and looking glamorous! Headscarves are basically my go-to in hot months for sure!
You have the prettiest scarves!
Every time I see scarves on CZcams I get the itch to buy more scarves... 😍But I remember that I already have a litteral trunk Full of real vintage scarves that I got from my grandma 👀... Is there such a thing as too many scarves? Asking for a friend😅
LOL I'm the wrong person to ask what too many scarves is, I have two suitcases full ahem
This is exactly what I was looking for! Super helpful xx love your channel
BIG THANK YOU 🥰🤩🤩🤩 didn't know it was so easy 😍😍😍😍
It really is!
Very helpful because it demystified how to do it so thank you💗🥰
Yay I'm so glad!
Now my hair is longer I’ve been looking for ways to do headscarf’s and as always you come to the rescue thank you xx
I mean, headscarves are great for shorter hair too though!
@@WithLoveKristina they are my hair is just extremely fine and I cannot leave it a day without washing it’s so greasy so getting scarves to stick is so hard
I'm so here for this.
Haha thank you!
Your style is such goals. Love this.
Thank you!
Thank you 😊 this was really helpful you make look so easy!!
Hopefully it's as easy to do as it looks!
Lovely and wonderful and thank you for always being so encouraging of people within the 'vintage community'!!! "Real life" vintage is so much more engaging to me than pin up styles, for the most part!
I think there needs to be more on everyday vintage/real life vintage. None of us are dressed up 24/7 but I want to try to make it easier to choose a retro style daily that feels wearable!
Love this! I know you say these are super simple but that is what I need. I struggle with doing anything with my hair and recently when I had it cut the lady got a little carried away and cut it shorter than I wanted and my hair is very curly so what she thought looked fine ended up as nearly a Bob when dry and I am excited to try some of these out.
Oh nooo. I'm so sorry your hair was shorter than you wanted it! That's the most frustrating thing!
thanks for the video I'm just having the aha moment what I'm wrong, no hairpins, no hold of the scarf in my hair
I love this. It's easy enough that I as a newbie can follow it and actually my hair turns out great! Thank you 🙏
Yay I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thank you for making this video. I have been struggling lately with my wet sets and these would be great for the days when my curls won't behave themselves.
Oh gosh, I’ve had so many days when my wet set doesn’t set, this is how I learned these tricks 🤣 may we all have great hair days even when it’s minimal effort!
Love it!!!
Thank you!
I love you. You inspire me. Thank you. Love your videos
Thank you lovely!
I love your channel soooo much🥰
I'm so glad!
Great vlog
I really appreciate how you simplify vintage style and really make me feel like I can do it too! I think all of these styles are really cute and I'm all about putting minimal effort into my hair, ha! Now to find some hair scarves!
You absolutely can do it too! Etsy also has some fairly inexpensive options if you can't find any scarves thrifting!
@@WithLoveKristina Good to know, thanks :)
Thanks for this- I love wearing head scarves but my hair is too thick and slippery so they always end up feeling insecure. Despite hair grips! I’m going to try the hairsprayed scarf and see if it helps. Xx
Let me know how the hairspray works!
You have a perfect hairline, I struggle with scarves because of my very uneven hairline. Thank you for sharing this ❤️
Haha I always hated that my hairline was so round and low to be honest! Highly suggest some front rolls or bumper bangs or even something sideswept!
To sofen the effect of an uneven hair line you can put a little bronzer where the hair LINE meets the make up, with a large fluffy brush, maybe that helps😘
This was very helpful I have been trying to find a good way to wear my hair so I look kinda vintage but not to much LOL
lol these are ABSOLUTELY good ways to do that! Plus you don't have to do much of anything, which is a bonus!
Love this video!! I have lots of scarves I don't use because I don't know how to wear, but wear my hair up all the time and will try these. Can you also consider doing videos about how to wear hats (1) and belts (2)? I've gained a lot of weight in recent years and think belts would refine the plain skirts and dresses I tend to wear since I've moved away from pants. Also, I would love to wear hats...vintage or modern classic styles but can't seem to find ways to wear them with longer hair so they look good.
Yes I can! I have TONS of hats, so I'm hoping to put together a hat-adjacent video soon, and belts too!
Love your chanel, NZ
Thanks so much!
I love scarves and am usually too lazy to set my hair--so I usually just wear them gypsy style and call it good, lol. I might try some of the looks you demonstrated though; they look fairly easy
ETA: Those bee earrings are adorable!
The bee earrings are my FAVORITE. I need to update my description with where they're from - it's a small business and I love Femme De Bloom!
Hi my daughter name is spelt the same as your she is 40 this year. Great vlog
oh yay, a fellow Kristina! my dad chose the spelling!
The Bees!
Aren't they darling?! They're from Femme De Bloom and I LOVE them.
your hair seems so much like mine except yours is probably thicker. I started using Marc Anthony strictly curls curl defining lotion and it was totally life-changing lol I can reapply it three times or even more through the week and throw my hair in some pin curls with some duck bills in a silk scarf at night. I take them out in the morning and shake my hair and run some Biosilk through it with my fingers and it makes the most beautiful curls multiple times in between washes.... what is your favorite setting lotion
My favorite setting spray is (I know, this sounds weird) flat beer lol. It's an actual vintage trick to leave out a beer till it's flat, and then put it in a spray bottle and use it as a setting spray. Not 100% curly girl approved, but it leaves my hair SO soft and bouncy!
I shall try that! Does the smell dissipate when you leave it out....im a little scared lol
@@runaroundsue2199 The smell goes away! It smells like beer for maybe 15 minutes, just till it dries and then your hair will be smell free, I promise! That was my fear too lol.
Gosh, I wish I had such thick hair!
Me too! Have you tried hair masks with colourless (is this a word?) henna? They build a coat around each hair and make it thicker, so that the end result is thicker as well. Also it looks healthy an shiny.
I never thought of my hair as thick! I think it's sort of average, it just looks fuller because it's fluffy from being damaged, lol.
Things I never would have thought to do with my hair
hopefully they're good ideas!
@@WithLoveKristina always good ideas 😊
Where do you get your scarves
Mostly thrift stores!
I had so many scarves until recently when I started getting rid of them. Wouldnt ya know, now i need them. I dont know what it is about my hair. I cant keep these things on my head! LOL! Well i have short hair now.
Haha, headscarves are great with short hair too!
@@WithLoveKristina I've tried...i think the scarves have been too small. I'll try some bigger ones! Thanks for the instruction. It really is appreciated!
Have you ever tried using a wig grip to keep your head scarf on?
I had never thought of that!
Your doing great. Don't focus on numbers allow things to flow let the universe do the rest people will follow. But good to say please put follow click on the bell for more video's.
Why do you do the curly girl method when your hair is pin straight? It looks like mine after I’ve asked for a straight blowout.
