- Maxi took a mock driving test at the WA Success Licensing Centre one day before his actual drive test. He was calm and controlled his stress levels. But lost it due to carelessness at literally the last 2 mins before the mocks ended. Remember guys, your test isn't over until you have safely parked your vehicle and removed your keys! @@mydrivewa Hello Glenn! I was driving there. In the residential street the speed is 50 km however it is a high speed for that residentials streets. I must drive near of 50 km or I can drive with a speed of 40km. Thanks Glenn!!
Just wanna ask, when doing a reverse park during PDA instead of passing 3 lines before you reverse, can I do a 45 angle turn then reverse or not? Thank you!!
Thank you for your question. Most assessors are fine with the 45 degree angle park, provided you do not obstruct oncoming traffic and you must do your relevant checks. However, we do prefer the 3 line approach when teaching.

Thank you for your question and watching the channel. It’s usually at the discretion of the assessor to decide if it should be a mark down. But most of the time it should be fine as it’s a drive test and not a navigational one.

In this place all parking places such as shopping center parking and parallel parking areas are hilly.. so do we have to steer wheels towards kerb while parking and do we have to put on first gear or reverse gear... Also we cannot ride with second gear in the roundabout next to dot. So can we drive with third gear in the roundabout while we come back to dot.
Some parts of Beeliar where the IGA is can be pretty hilly. We only angle the wheels when we do a kerb stop. Reason being that if the car rolls down the hill while you are having lunch, it will shortly come to rest on the kerbs.
If you’re on the uphill parked or pulled over, always leave it on first gear and vice versa.
Use the appropriate gear for the manoeuvre at the double roundabout outside the DoT depending on the traffic conditions. Hope this helps. All the best!

When he went back to licensing centre there was car opposite comming on time of reversing then he stopped ... What is cars coming from behind can we still reverse or do we have to find another spot so that we dont block car behind
It’s usually a common sense approach to that. Always signal your intention early so that the vehicle behind is aware of what you’re doing/going to do.

Why did he do forward parking? As I have seen in PDA always a reverse parking
Thanks for the comment. Maxi actually did do a reverse park at the end of the video at the Success Licensing. It’s usually at the discretion of the assessor what type of parking they want the driver to perform.

Do they ever take you onto the freeway at success?
It’s not impossible to get to the freeway from the success DOT.. At present, it does not happen much, but that can change to suit the testing agenda. But best to prep yourself with the on/off ramp manoeuvres.

Are electric hand brakes ok for driving test?
The final decision on whether the vehicle is roadworthy depends on the assessor. Most of the time electronic handbrakes are fine, but I do suggest calling DOT at 131156 to confirm vehicle make and model if unsure.
