Muslim rule consisted of two parts:
(1) Delhi Sultanate: About 250 years, primarily in three Indian states of Punjab, Haryana and UP. Along with Delhi.
(2) Mughal Empire: 50 years, all over India (barring Tamil Nadu and Kerala) and 200 years all over North India.
There were many Muslim incursions for short time since 700-1200, but none of them reached present day India and were limited to Sindh, Lahore, etc and not a part of Indian history (Pakistani history now).
