    Welcome to the Beautiful-Electronics-Blog, BEB. Free electronics videos, teardown, and education.
    The idea of the "daily-beb" is a video series with shorter episodes, with less effort in production. Less time consuming videos, but yet interesting to watch.
    With the daily-beb, I am able to upload videos w/o proper editing, which is much better than no video at all. Please support. Thumbs up is the easiest way.
    Really need any support.

    Audio is an interesting side of electronics. In my case, the audio has fascinated me with electronics.

      great comment. thank you. I always dream to produce hifi in a quality like Rohde & Schwarz did their measurement electronics, or tube audio in a quality like Tektronix

    Hey, you said in the beginning of the video that the client thought a channel is blown. I am in the same situation. I am trying to have two stereo inputs but I get just 3 outs... why is this happening? Thanks

    do you have the service manual for the amp or the complete schematics.

    It is important to change the large SMPS capacitors as they are substandard from factory. Use UCC SMH 12000uf/80V instead as the least expensive replacement, they work fine. This must be done, sooner or later they will blow and pull the power amp with it. These amps are simple very easy workhorses that can/must be strengthed with better
    components and the will perform admirably at full load,

  • @gtdiyaudioandalectonics9521

    the problem in that compact designs is you have to remove many parts, when checking components,, 😁

    When one has a higher power amp with several paralleled transistors in the push pull configuration, if there is transistor failure in the channel is likely to be short circuit rather than open, and will more often than not be evidence of high current damage. Open transistors, which is unlikely to have all of them go bad at once, will be evidenced by less output and faster clipping. Anything else is going to be in the preamp stages.

    Hi Max...I bought the same thing from italy ...but the previous version with two cooling fans...unfortunately one of my assistants bridged it incorrectly and blew two channels with power supply along withmy x1 sub with PD1851/2 Driver..I cant ship this to thomann for repair as I live in Sri Lanka...I mailed them asking for a repair manual / circuit diagrams ..the replied NO...It would be a great help if anyone can share with me any assistance or any place where I can get service manual ..Thanks

    That amplifier is over-unity - route the outputs to the input power socket and you will have eternal power. It takes 1500 Watts in, and deliveres 4*1670W out - Impressive! 4,45 Times more power!

    • @blackwingmaster141
      @blackwingmaster141 Před 5 lety +2

      1500W RMS class AB amplifier will "draw" approximately 400-500W of countinous power when outputing full power, because audio signal has got crest factor af arround 1/8 or less (that's why 1500W counsumption @ 1/8 of the power is written near power input)

    • @MaxKoschuh
      @MaxKoschuh  Před 5 lety +2

      @Nikola, @zapro: datasheet says: Power consumption is 4450W at 1/3 of maximum power. A single mains power line (SchuKo) has 16A. So it needs a 32A 240V single-phase 240V input if you want consume all the power.

      Sir, my name is Daniel, I live in Sweden. I’m looking for help please. Can you please help me to recommend power amplifier for my speakers? I have 6 pieces of Meyer MSL-3 speakers and 2 pieces JSL Sound concert system bass speakers. Power: 1000 watts RMS. IMPEDANS : 8 OHMS * 2. Notes: if anyone can be a help, I was really appreciate thanks 😊.danielweah90@yahoo.co.uk

      @@MaxKoschuh if you are interesting in details,this amp is incredible similar to ram audio s6044, smps is Full Bridge with 4pc Irgp4066, driven by 2pc IR2110, SG3525. Power amplifier works in class H 3-step +-60,+-120,+-180V , for that Power little bit scary only 5 pairs of Power transistors 🙂

    I owned one, was awesome when it worked. However it gave up during a gig 3 years 2 months after purchase.
    Just outside warranty period.
    Absolutely gutted. Pcu is fine, possibly a transistor. Either way, seems like too big a job to try and fix.

    This is a 4 channel recipe for disaster. (already discontinued). Stay far away from this kind of power built with these components.
    Get two Behringer NX6000 / iNuke 6000 instead. The Behringer Class D amps are not bad low cost power. Just don't push them to the limit in 4ohm (if the 6000 model). and best to biamp each amp = sub @ch.1, and top @ch.2 (gets you better headroom). iNuke's can last for a long time, if don't abused (meaning never use these for rental, they are just consumer-grade items)

    the biggest shame from the amplifier in the world. I bought a new one and on the first working day is a black chopper power supply and the other power is 390EUR therefore unrealistic fix. NEVER THEM THOMAN !!!
