My roommate is covered in scars and always has bandaids around the house because of how unpredictable and hostile this cat is and he is very loved and spoiled, not abused or from a bad home. Some cats just have the shittiest personalities. I don’t go near that cat now and if he comes near me I carry a pillow and I act big to shoo him away. I don’t want to but if I have to tap him on the nose or spray water on him for him to leave me alone, I will. I am not gonna let him keep terrorizing me. @@vgnvideogameninja2930 That's debatable. Servals aren't Lions/Panthers/Cougars or of the feline type that actually hunts prey bigger than themselves, they hunt birds/fish/smaller prey. They have an average human bite force, where as the normal big cats have bite forces way beyond a dogs bite force. So this means their most dangerous weapon is their claws, they can scratch out eyes and hope to win in an endurance battle. But just an average big dog the size of a serval has a bite force of 240-300+ on the high end (Servals are around 170, 10 above humans) and dogs know the most vital area is the neck, which servals have very long and vulnerable necks. 5 seconds? More like 5 minutes of a fight where the Serval is trying to keep its neck away while swatting at the eyes. The dogs heavier so it's not gonna be able to use its weight on the dog. Interesting how the serval asserts it self and holds ground while subduing the dog with an olive branch without showing weakness or fear - some complex dynamics playing out here.
its called a learned behavior. this dog quite frankly needs to be nutured if the owner isn't going to deal with the behavioral issue. it cute when you are 4 times the size. now imagine how most smaller people feel... just like with child and animal obesity. its not ok...
Bunch of pseudo intellectuals up in here for real.
We can learn something from that little cat
Loved how this beautiful Serval was both confidently assertive and sensitive and sweet at the same time. Advancing forward gently with soft meows as if to say, it’s ok just listen to me. I don’t mean you harm. Then sitting back again to give the message that she senses the Dog is uneasy, but know that all is ok. You can relax.
A beautiful moment to witness.
It's legal to own a serval as a pet, just fyi
Unfortunately dogs bearing their teeth is always seen as aggresive but this isn't always the case. As the dog is doing the constant 'fake' sneeze this means it is being playful and wanting to play fight. As an owner of 3 dogs and 2 cats (one of which thinks its a dog and even goes out with them to go to the toilet b at the same time) I see this on a daily basis lol.

Man. Such expressive meows! True diplomat.
Beautiful cat and so calm and confident. She backed up when the dog lunged but did not run. A very cool-headed cat in complete control of the situation. How can anyone say they don't like cats?
I like cats. Just don’t like asshole cats. My roommate has two. One is an absolute angel and I sometimes want to steal her away cause she is such a sweetheart. Affectionate and cuddly and absolutely adorable with her pink little nose. Her other cat however, is the spawn of the devil. Attacks everyone. He’ll bite and scratch you even when you try feeding it or petting it or even if you just walk past it. I had to start wearing shoes in the house because I got so anxious of getting attacked. I have scars on my calves and ankles and wrists and a bitemark too from when he bit me and I could feel his teeth against my wrist bone because of how hard he bit me. It all welted up. The thing is, a lot of cats are that way and that is why people don’t like cats, a lot of them seem to have sort of an asshole personality. Not all of them do but a lot seem to.
@@brosef5033 People don't have a lock on mental illness. Sounds like the cat may need to evaluated for medication. If it does have a disorder, the cat is suffering as much as the people around it.
No its true strength was it trying to befriend the dog. That's rare to see

@@Crazmussyeh if that was a large Doberman I don’t think that’d happen they’re pretty tough
@@l.b_11 A Doberman of any size wouldn't last 5 seconds in the ring with that cat!
@@vgnvideogameninja2930sure bud. Servals are bird eaters mainly. Look at its face, it doesn’t have a powerful bite. A legit Doby would smoke that cat.
Hell it's even a much unfairer fight if you put it against a Wolf, which would devour it almost immediately. There are reasons why Servals don't go after prey their size or bigger. And why Jaguar's can take a crocodile off the map.
Insecure dog, very secure cat. Love the transference of calm. They both know who would win, they just handle it differently.
Insecure more like scared dog he's smaller then the cat so of course he's scared lol. Yes he would lose but he would definitely fight if the cat tried to attack. The lip licking, showing teeth shows hey back up or I'll bite
@@pennytrui1149 the cat means no harm, it does not even want to attack the dog

Cats are usually more secure. Plenty of CZcams vids where you can see one cat assert dominance over 2 dogs at a time.
There are some exceptions, but they seem to be a minority
