  • Mosport International Raceway 2009 Canadian Solosprint Aug23rd / 2009. Cobalt: Street tires (NT05) % Civic: Race tires (R comps) Timed run for points.
ps. The yellow flag was for me to slow down to a safe distance (usually 3 - 8 seconds). I got the green at the end off the straight again but ran out of memory.

Saving up for my T/C Cobalt SS right now. These cars are the definition of "Wolf in sheeps clothing".

Cobalt is running stock suspention and moves around a lot when you are at the limit like that. This is about as smooth as I can get, sometimes slightly better than others.

Nice ride dude. I like how you started pushing harder when you seen the honda in front of you.
Nice control for stock suspension. Stock has bad understeer but not as bad as some imports.
I cant wait to see some more vids man.

oh and anyone wondering about tires I shredded a set of street tires in one day open pit! R compound, your lucky if your front left last two days max, then your cycling in a new tire almost every other day, not to mention brake pads, wheel bearings, lower ball joints, to name a few.

Heat-soak is not a problem for me. I run 3-5 hot laps max and is stock. 1 set of tires per season

last comment I promise, but I had to mention that my lines and "smoothness" when I had stock tires and suspension were very similar, it's hard to have a late apex when there is no initial grip to turn in with! try R compound and you'll never go back till your broke.

What camera are you using and how do you have it mounted? I have a GoPro and I can't get that perspective in my Cobalt.

why do people think hondas are some kind of super car? I run comfortably in the high 1:40's with a 150hp sunfire, I'd love the turbo but I wouldn't trade for street tires, R compound have got to be the best thing you can do for a track car.

A bit understeery that car, and like the other fellow said, a bit smoother on the steering action perhaps? find the limit more easily?
