    I'm BACK! It's been a long time since I made a video, but today I install a new carbon fibre shift knob in the Civic. I have a CVT transmission but the process is mostly similar for a manual. I hope the video is clear and helpful with the install process. Many more videos are coming down the road so stay tuned!

    What was holding you oem shift not before you replaced it with the blue aftermarket boot? Was it a zip tie?

    • @TurboKitchen
      @TurboKitchen  Před 7 měsíci +1

      No. The oem boot has a different ring that it's properly attached to. The zip tie I needed just for the aftermarket one.

      @@TurboKitchen can the OEM ring made to be loosened and refasten?

      Not with this style of shift knob. OEM design is too different. You can get an aftermarket carbon knob that is OEM styling, though. That would be a straight swap.

      Did you make sure to plug everything back in its proper spots and fully in? Car could be tripping something.

    How do you remove the initial trim, The sides?

    • @TurboKitchen
      @TurboKitchen  Před 4 měsíci

      Use a pry tool and gently lift up. It's just held in with clips. Make sure to pull carefully so you don't damage anything.
