I've loved Subul Lakshmi since 1967 my twentieth year. I heard about Mirabai through The Rama Krishna Nath in Santa Barbara California USA. They showed the 1940s film about Mirabai with Subul Lakshmi singing and in the title part..I got the Odeon record with SM Subul Lakshmi. Mirabai bhajans . Of course Hari Tum Haro for Gandhiji.
I asked my beautiful mom to translate this beautiful song so I can understand.. And she sent me these beautiful interpretation.. Meera is totally convinced of Krishna's presence. She says she searched everywhere and failed to find him. In Gokul, in Brindavan, in every branch and flower but he has gone missing. So she asked the people around. They enquired if he was Ram or Shiva. But poor Meera knows only Giridhara. So she waits for him thinking he must have gone to the forest with the cows. So she will wait to or him intensely in patience. ❤️ Let me now wait intensely with patience..
I am not sure about the Shiva. Log kahen Sri Ram.hain kya is correctly interpreted in your translation..ya gauri kari maya..or at least that,s how the words sound to me in the recording. My take is (you are dark skinned) ya tori kari maiyaan = because your mom is dark skinned.

This is not a Meera Bhajan. This is composed by Smt. Indira Devi. She also composed with the pen name Meera after she had the vision of the saint during her meditation.

Her compositions are published in two volumes named Indiranjali. She was the disciple of Dilip Kumar roy, who has set tune for many of her compositions.
Manoj G is correct.Many of the bhajans for the Meera film were also penned by Indra Devi who seemed to have composed them spontaneously. She was a frequent guest at Kalki Gardens in Madras.
