I used 195 g of all-purpose einkorn flour and omitted the lemon zest (sorry, not a lemon fan). My old favorite blueberry muffin has just been demoted. Thank you!

This recipe, blueberry muffins, is actually my favorite from smitten kitchen every day. I had always used joy of cooking's recipe until this one. My daughter is skeptical about any food she has decided is not plain (noting mushroom pizza is "plain") so I usually leave the blueberries out of a couple to promote family peace. It's great the first night - so easy - and great the next day for breakfast with two fried eggs. Last month I made mega-dozens of your chocolate chip cookies for a Bakers Against Racism bake sale, and I sold out!

I just pulled these out of the oven!!!! They look like yours!!! Yyyiiipppeee!!! Wish I could show you a picture! I used avocado oil butter, egg replacer and plain oat yogurt to make them vegan. The husband (not a vegan) is sampling just now... Let's see what he thinks... He likes them! They are delightful! Oolala!!! Thank you Deb!! Can't wait for your next cookbook!!!
I've made these muffins sooooo many times and each time, I just lose my mind. The kitchen smells so good. I've also made them using strawberries. They get a little messier with the strawberries, but still so good. Thanks for another fabulous recipe.

I’ve made these multiple times and they never miss. Best recipe I’ve ever used for blueberry muffins, no contest. The sugar on top is a must. The muffin tops are the very definition of the word TOOTHSOME. You’re the best, Deb!
My go to recipe for blueberry muffins. So tender and flavorfull. The best muffins, in just one bowl.. We were at an in in Boothbay Harbor Maine and they were serving these. I recognized them and asked one of the owners. She said her brother made them, it was his mother-in-law's recipe and wouldn't give it out. When she said he used frozen berries and used more than asked for, I knew I was right. I gave her the website.
Like many who have commented below, I too have been a longtime SK fan and follower! I first found SK while living in the Alaskan bush (2010) and had to make a special effort to *order* ingredients, have them flown in from Town (Anchorage) and then pray that our propane-fired stove wasn't being too persnickety! I am now living in the UK and during lockdown(s), when there were no restaurants open, I got another chance to love on SK even more. So, in short, Deb/SK and I have come a long way together and to finally see the 'place where all the magic happens' (ie: Deb's kitchen!) is just like the...uh... icing.... on... the cake? Well done, you!

I made these on Mother’s Day and used gluten free cup for cup flour. They came out excellent!

These really are the best blueberry muffins ever! Easy, quick and the perfect balance of blueberries to batter. The crunchy sugar topping is terrific!

I've made these muffins sooooo many times and each time, I just lose my mind. The kitchen smells so good. I've also made them using strawberries. They get a little messier with the strawberries, but still so good. Thanks for another fabulous recipe.

My go to recipe for blueberry muffins. So tender and flavorfull. The best muffins, in just one bowl.. We were at an in in Boothbay Harbor Maine and they were serving these. I recognized them and asked one of the owners. She said her brother made them, it was his mother-in-law's recipe and wouldn't give it out. When she said he used frozen berries and used more than asked for, I knew I was right. I gave her the website.

Like many who have commented below, I too have been a longtime SK fan and follower! I first found SK while living in the Alaskan bush (2010) and had to make a special effort to *order* ingredients, have them flown in from Town (Anchorage) and then pray that our propane-fired stove wasn't being too persnickety! I am now living in the UK and during lockdown(s), when there were no restaurants open, I got another chance to love on SK even more. So, in short, Deb/SK and I have come a long way together and to finally see the 'place where all the magic happens' (ie: Deb's kitchen!) is just like the...uh... icing.... on... the cake? Well done, you!

These are the best most beautiful blueberry muffins on the planet. So easy I can make them just before taking them to our Sunday morning family gatherings and they are still warm when we arrive....so many blueberries that even our gluten-free niece eats them.
