NEVER SLICE DRIVER AGAIN - "FEEL v REAL"

  • STOP IT NOW! Never slice driver again with this simple tip to ensure the clubface is not open at impact. This drill is the best and easiest fix for slicing driver. No more sliced golf shots, no more sliced tee shots, just taking one piece out of my swing kept me up the left side of the golf course and in full control of my golf ball to shoot under par. You can do this too.
REMEMBER: If it feels different then you're on the right track, forget how it looks.

I struggle with the exact same issue of cupping my lead wrist at the top looking for extra leverage. I've been working hard to eliminate it - I have found if I keep my left hand very passive and use my right hand to achive the "waiter's tray" position at the top then I can pretty much keep my left wrist flat. I'm also working on increasing width in the backswing and on my release to make up for the loss of my accumulator with the cupped wrist. 5 sources I will seek golf swing advice from - Homer, you, Pete Cowan, Padraig H and Chuck Quentin. I have found I need to block out a lot of the other "CZcams golf advice noise" I just get into swingthought overload. Keep up the good work - really appreciate the advice and the journey.

Watching the PGA and their club selection is very deceiving. Yes, they have an 8 iron that can do 180 yd but they don't mention how much it's been adjusted so it's probably actually a 6 or 5 iron in reality.
I'm starting to learn that taking more club and hitting a softer easier shot produces better results for me. Just have to learn to take my ego out of the game and not think I'm being judged for my club selection.
Great work at what a beautiful course.

Great new videos Steve, the wrist cock at the top of my backswing causing an open clubface, especially with driver, is exactly what I keep doing. I subconsciuosly think it will give me more distance but always results in a slice. Trying to tell my brain to stop doing it is another matter.

For me to gain control over the clubhead i have only my left thumb in my mind , taking the club away and returning it to the ball without any deviation in the arc the thumb follows , interesting to me that i do this in order to :
A stop any cupping or occasional bowing .
B stops my wrist generally getting to involved flailing ( big for me )
C this move rotates the shoulders rather than just using the arms .
      And
D its dead simple to remember and achieve its just away and back .
It may feel at first like your holding the face open but this is not the case . Feel vs real

My interpretation is that you’re minimising known power leaks, which takes discipline and concentration. I have had good results (tighter lateral dispersion even if longitudinal dispersion is not as well drilled) with this technique, better if you can test it on your own (no peer pressure) which is easy in NZ (480 golf courses and 4.5 million people).

Oh oh! There may be trouble ahead. You missed the sign on the 9th tee saying you are not to hit your tee shot beyond the row of bunkers at the foot of the slope in front of the green! DQ if you do. Which you did. By miles. IIRC these bunkers are 250 yards from the back tee. A restriction forced on the club due to complaints from the owner of the fairly recently built fancy house on the right - built c.150 years after golf was first played on the links. PS please can you return my found ProV1 from the beach!

    @johnbutler5140 Před měsícem

I like your channel and I am a subscriber. That said, it 100% the reason you lag other channels that you use clickbait titles and don't actually give the promised knowledge until deep into the video (made more annoying because you don't use chapters or cut the video up).
The only reason I make this comment is because you've in the past asked about getting subscriber count and views up and seemed puzzled about how to do it. You shouldn't make a video entitled "NEVER SLICE DRIVER AGAIN (all caps)" and then spend the first literal four and a half minutes of the video talking about other stuff. The people who click on titles like this don't want to hear about all this other stuff. They want to hear about how not to slice their driver.
You have a cool channel and you make neat videos. But then you name them clickbait-y things that the video doesn't follow through on (or at least not for a while). You need to pick a lane. If you're going to make better content than clickbait (and you do) you need to title it something more akin to what it actually is (For example, "Fixing Your Driver Slice While taking you around a beautiful links course"). Its annoying to get misled by titles *both ways* - clickbait works because the people who click on it want a 45 second video about how to fix a driver slice.
The people looking for what you offer are not going to click on "FIX YOUR SLICE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!" unless they already know you. Either go the clickbait route (much shorter videos, no scenery, same title) or don't (change your title and description). Mixing the two is a quick route nowhere.

    I don’t slice
… but I frequently BLOCK my tee shot out to the right. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️
    What causes that? 🤷🏼‍♂️
My path is inside-out, which is good, right? And my face is open, but square to THAT path. Is that correct?
So how do I fix it?
If I try hard to hit a draw, it results in a HOOK 😩 … which is worse!
It’s mostly a problem with my driver, but I can BLOCK a shot to the right with other clubs too.
I’m tired of hitting my second shot out of the right rough. Help!
    p.s. Love your tempo!
    So in control. So balanced.
