Let dad show you how to change the cooktop lightbulb on your Maytag microwave. This is such a quick and easy fix. Just need a screwdriver and a new light bulb. Product link: www.lowes.com/...
I’ve tried I don’t know how many times by doing that. It doesn’t budge. Sprayed wd 40 in there today and still couldn’t budge it. My hands are small so getting into it isn’t a problem but getting the needle nose pliers into such a confined space is so difficult. I’m at my wits end. So frustrating.
@@milkshake123abc Hmm. Yeh, I would have suggested wd-40 next. Can you use the pliers, but open them so that the outside of them is against the inside of the broken bulb piece and then keep that pressure and twist? Hope that makes sense.
Here's a link to the one that I used. It's an E17 base. www.lowes.com/pd/Feit-Electric-40-Watt-T8-Intermediate-Base-Soft-White-Incandescent-Appliance-Light-Bulb/3806701
Um unplug the unit first!!!!! Unless you want to learn how to replace a Triac 7100 in the control board.;{ Oh well, now I can replace a triac 7100. LOLOL
This is my exact unit. Perfect.
Excellent! Good luck!
Love it!! Thank you . I need to get the light bulb but I think I can get it done
Yeh, it’s pretty straightforward!
Nice simple easy ...
Well, thank you! Glad you found it helpful.
Do not use LED one, because it wont turn it off.
Good to know!
My bulb broke off and the base is stuck in there. Have had no success in getting base out. Any suggestions?
Hey there. Can you cut the power to the microwave and the use some needle nose pliers to try to grab a piece of the bulb and twist out?

Light bulbs have base numbers, ie, E12. What is the base number on the bulb you just replaced?
I just bought the following bulb: 125V 40W E17 Base, Kitchen Night Light, Repalce 8206232A (2)

I replaced bulb today, now light won’t turn off.
That’s weird. Maybe try calling customer service? Makes no sense why it wouldn’t turn off.
dont use the LED, get those "old style" one
I replaced mine but now it won't turn off. What gives?
That’s weird. No reason the new light shouldn’t turn off. Maybe call Maytag customer service?
@@daddoesvideos mine does the same thing.
Don’t replace it with an LED bulb. Only use an incandescent bulb.
@VAULT-TEC_USA this!

You should be fine to change the light bulb without unplugging.
