@@SuperFreakyMad Interesting. As you can see from my previous comments, I was pleading for giving him more time as well, but was drowned out by all the people who criticise Havertz. And the criticism was mostly fair tbh. Huge price tag and little to show for. But, as you say, he seems to be evolving.
Havertz is clearly doing exactly as he is told, or he would be dropped - his off the ball, and breaking up pressure is decent - even scored a winner today to get us top!
No, you're absolutely right, he is heavy legged. But i remember Eddie doing the exact same thing, he was really dragging his heals and flinging his arms up when he wouldnt get the ball. I think Havertz will be on form next season, maybe even later this season but he is adjuating to the demand. Its a dramatic shift and will take minimum half a season. Thats why trossard came in and hit the ground running becasue he came from a similar system in Brighton so had less adjustments to make.
Lack of pressing is no excuse though. You are spot on about nketiah. There is no excuse. It happened against spurs too. Both players. They look disinterested in pressing. Clearly things changed in the 2nd half when nketiah looked like he had a rocket up his bum from arteta at half time as he seemed to press hard at least until 60 mins. Havertz looks like ozil, just doesn't bother as hard and doesn't commit. We as fans must see it I wonder how arteta feels. That's why havertz has been dropped
@dp20102 pressing is almost always initiated by odegaard by arsenal, its pretty common knowledge even for someone like me who's not an arsenal fan but has watched a few games this season
I'm not agreeing with what he said but Hraverts needs more time to adjust. Even if you argue that it is just 3 games in it is still painful to watch a match where one player just keeps giving the ball away. The one clip that hasn't circulated yet is the clip where Martinelly passed Harverts the ball and made a run forward and rather than passing it up field he passed back to where no one was and Martinelly had to race back just to clear the ball and make sure they couldn't get it.
I don't fully remember the match, but i have a feeling it was Harvets that caused them to get the ball which led to the corner and eventually the goal. This may actually be a brilliant signing by Arteta maybe he is seeing something we aren't. But you just know when a player isn't giving their best and that is all i see in Harverts
The part you missed of this passage is Havertz after messing up his own pass just stands still and watches his disaster unfold without going to help. In fact, Havertz was so poor that rice was going all the way over to his side to do defensive elements. We underplay just how bad Havertz was. I can’t recall a worse game from a player in maybe 5 years.
After that man united match, i'm done with him. How tf can a professional footballer even miss like that? The guy has no confidence at all. People say he's versatile but he's not, he's simply not good enough to play in any position, doesn't have any standout qualities. He's gonna be huge problem in the coming matches unless he's dropped

Really i can't understand the meaning of this purchase... it's not normal. Purchasing like this, bearing with Havertz and expecting to win the league.....
When we were seriously linked to him, I was more worried about his off the ball work. Weirdly its his pressing & interceptions when we dont have the ball which have been far better, fits in well with the team. Its his on the ball work thats been severely lacking, from mishits in the box to giving the ball away when we're in possession, not having the drive to run with the ball when he's shifted to no9. He's always been a drifter who finds space like Muller, but he seriously needs to work on his possession skills, add muscle and build confidence. Off the ball he's good enough.
The guy needs time He lost a whole lot of confidence U can sense his fear holding the ball for some time that's why he always gives u back a pass immediately He's always trying to play safe than take certain risks as a midfielder I believe with time all these will be solved

If we honestly don't forget about how much it cost AFC to get this player, the bias would persist. Our job as fans is to support the team. With all due respect, clubs like Derby County, Ipswich Town, etc have loyal fans who may never have the opportunity if seeing their team win a title. They still support passionately. If Hervartz fails at the end of his stay at AFC, we'd have to take it on the chin as one of those things! Otherwise, we may end up eating our humble pies, in which case, we may then be very quiet. There's definitely a player in there, just that he's not making sense at the moment. Let's give him confidence and stop treating him like some failed project. COYG💪❤
Chelsea fan here. Glad we offloaded him. We all think the same over in SW6. That said, the chap won the Cup with the Big Ears for us, so fair play - he delivered when it mattered.
Martinelli and Saka couldn't clear the front post for their corners, are you screaming for their heads? Saka missed the best sitter... Saka was in Dalots pocket all game... Rashford scores with the whole Arsenal defence in front of him... stop being a moron!
@@wackywilly6969and in each of the 3 years he’s played consistently under 3 different managers aswell as being a mainstay in the German national team. It’s a myth that he’s a bad player. Perpetuated by the fact that his playstyle makes him an easy target as fans aren’t familiar with it. His role is primarily that of a raumdeuter. This means fans can’t give him a defined position that they’re familiar with e.g. striker, winger, midfielder. What he is though is a manager’s dream (hence he is picked consistently under different managers). His off the ball abilities add so much to the team. With confidence his on the ball abilities will improve too. If fans could just get off his back and not magnify every little mistake which other players will do but won’t get the same treatment for then we might actually see the best version of him quicker than what we will if Arteta is having to protect him.
@apt9238 oh right what on and off the ball abilities are they? I prefer my players to do work that is seen, stop protecting haverts with your life, in 4 games he has done nothing but slown the team down, make terrible passes, especially for the one that led directly to rashfords goal, mised the ball at an open goal and been a hindrance, I understand now why our fans are so hated, its because of thick morons like you, the same ones that think players like Nicholas pepe and Thomas partey are good, you have no clue about football, haverts is useless, and all that crap about never being given time to adjust to a new club, all the other Chelsea players managed just fine in the 'very short' 99, 90+ minute games tuchel was manager
I wonder how lost and confused the poster would look shoved into the first team. I'll stick with Arteta. Havertz won us the game v City and was composed even though he got shoved in the back.

João Felix and Havertz both feel like Pato: a young promise that got spoiled by the status he achieved before he could even understand responsabilities. Neymar is similar, but a little better (i guess that is because he stayed in Brazil for a while). I feel in all of them a struggle not to like football, but to truly like anything. It may have to do with reaching the top of the world too young too... such thing may be like using crack for a month straight without sleeping and then trying to settle for a good fvck or something alike... if you don't have to prove anything to just be so much acknowledged, sometimes you just won't try.
Shows how stvpid you are then... Thinking that one clip makes you correct about everything you've thought about a player... Try and remember that this was his very first game for us in the Prem... And that he was not doing much pressing in his former club... So it's foolish to expect him to suddenly master after only a few months with us... Also consider that none of this is why he was signed by Arteta... We didn't bring Havertz into Arsenal so he could put pressure on players for us... That's a secondary aspect of his game... Not the primary...
Yeah this one time at the World Cup England were playing France and England got a penalty, Kane stepped up to take it and missed the target completely it was at that moment I knew I was a better penalty taker than him. Because you can judge an entire career on 5 seconds
Imagine someone talking like he’s the manager. The same fanbase that made noise when Saliba was left on loan to develop, questioned Ramsdale, flogged Xhaka etc.
Yes, was lackluster but takes just three months to turn things around for good, only if can just give as much of support given by arteta and could have gone farther positive.

Before Kai went to Chelsea he was a really good player. The Chelsea team was and still is all messed up. He didn't fit in at all. I think is slowly doing better each game and I'm glad he is doing better. I had my doubts about him. But does help the team now.
If people actually watch the matches instead of blindly scrutinising players they'd see things. If you watch Havertz in every Arsenal game, you would notice he doesn't do anything without Ødegaard captaining his moves. Kai won't pressure unless Ødegaard says so, he won't move into the space unless Ødegaard gives the green light. Don't believe me? Watch the next Arsenal match. Kai is always waiting on instructions from Martin so he can integrate into the Arsenal system. One day Kai will do it all naturally. Yea he plays balls backwards but he's allowing Rice and Ødegaard to make the killer passes whilst he does the hold & link up play. Not trying to defend Kai but that's just my perspective.
When a player turns up on the pitch with the mindset to not be criticised by those who incessantly do and to not make mistakes then it becomes a vicious circle. All this video serves to do is help perpetuate that reality and play into the hands of opposition fans who love it...
There's a whole analysis on Havertz by another youtuber (forgot the name/title), and it boils down to a few factors. The biggest one is his weakness in adapting to new formations/roles. It seems like he's only good at being an attacking midfielder who helps move the ball up with the wingers, which is combative with Ødegaard.
A geezer woke me up the night after the last match... He was shouting that Havertz has ruined his life and was vowing to get him sacked LOL .... I wondered if Arteta was outside
Man.... This is one of the most ridiculous self righteous statements I've ever heard. It seems you don't know how pressing is played. Next season everybody will say that the hard criticism against havertz was somebody else....
I’m a Chelsea fan and I love Kai Havertz. However, he plays to me like a slower Thomas Mueller. Havertz has the ability to beat anyone for the ball and score, but he doesn’t work much to recover the ball. Playing in the premier league, not many teams will allow this from a midfielder to just play up top without tracking back. Havertz has the talent, but he ultimately needs to get more fitness and resolve to be aggressive, or go to a different club in another country.
Throwing him in the deep end won’t help him to adapt the system of the team Give him some minutes here and there, he’s good player surely he’ll be good but the way Arteta handling him will kill his confidence A pro footballer kicking wins/air in the 6 yard box is just lack of confidence, he’s already feeling the reaction and critics from the fans
Personally, I feel if we adapt to Harvetz we might actually be better in our attack. The guy just drifts into dangerous spaces by nature. Play 1-2 passes with him he will shine.
Havertz presses quite well. Mikel would never play him if he didn't. He is way bigger than Ødegaard so frequency on legz looks different but Havertz runs alot and has a good attitude, I don't actually really think that can be argued.
I really want Havertz to work and I sincerely do back the lad and would never want him to lose his confidence. That being said, his performances so far haven't been good. Unfortunately this doesn't help his case with fans and critics alike.
Just remembered how long it took for Xchaka to start playing well for us, Kai Havertz has a lot against him, including the price tag and a percentage of the fans on his ass, lets wait and see, Mikel has signed very few duds, he has gotten it mostly right
He plays without confidence like he is scared and confused, plays a short 1-2 pass due to panic. Man needs to start acting German and burning on all cylinders by gaining some muscles.

Check our king Henry 1st 20.games. u could have benched him forever. He just scored again Lens, he pop up in the space just like how he pop up in forest game. That's a gift, GJ doesnt have that, Nketiah doesnt have that, auba doesnt have that, laca doesn't have that too.
You're addressing football experts they know everything from Google & CZcams they can't hear you .. Harvetz is a good player & now they know in silence or is it shame??
3 months on and i wanted to check if anyone's opinion of Havertz has changed at all?
Haven’t changed at all. He’s quality, he’s evolving. I had no doubts in him, but knew he needs some time to adapt.
Hey you... Havert have now scored in back to back game. You still got something to say?
Bro might just not yet fully understand the pressing triggers, it’s calm, his calm.
What do you have to say about Kai now? He is closing players down, assisting goals, winning duels, and scoring goals

Havertz is clearly doing exactly as he is told, or he would be dropped - his off the ball, and breaking up pressure is decent - even scored a winner today to get us top!
This is exactly the kind of thing that gets Arsenal fans the reputation they get 😂
No, you're absolutely right, he is heavy legged.
@@No-Stack-Developer rather than buy Havertz, we could have got an invertible lb and moved zinny to cm. He’s an lb and has better qualities than him as a cm.

And now he’s playing good and one of our crucial players the past few games. It’s arteta who’s been telling him what to do and he’s just listening to the manager and now it’s paying off. Where the havertz haters now? Just hiding in the shadows waiting for him to mess up so they can hate on him again

"Maybe I'm having some subconscious underlying bias against Havertz" - Great Analysis there
Harvertz is like Chelsea where he came from. A mess
Let Arteta turn Kai Havertz to a fullback since his defensive work rate is better than the attack.
Havertz has -Infinity% Workrate. I don't want to see him start against Manchester United
??!? sorry who thefock Are u? 😂😂😂😂 ‘ i dont want’,,’,’, ??! WHO cares bout ur opnion
It's pressing instructions, they have been coached. If you watch our games last season. Odegaard is often the player to initiate the press. Long story short he is not doing anything wrong. They are waiting trying to set pressing traps instead of aimlessly pressing.
Have you really been watching Arsenal matches? No. He's always lacking in every touch
This aged like week only cottage cheese left out in the sun. He's been class for us recently, and he's becoming more and more like Ben White. He's gone from this quiet guy to pushing coaches, spurs players and squaring up to emi martinez 😂

Possibly the worst purchase in PL history. Not only did we waste 65 mill on a donkey, we helped Chelsea with FFP.
Really i can't understand the meaning of this purchase... it's not normal. Purchasing like this, bearing with Havertz and expecting to win the league.....
Be patient, he will come good
That's what we thought... Trust me, he won't
The guy needs time
He lost a whole lot of confidence
U can sense his fear holding the ball for some time that's why he always gives u back a pass immediately
He's always trying to play safe than take certain risks as a midfielder
I believe with time all these will be solved
Didn't age well. Judging a player after a game is just crazy!
It’s insanity

COYG💪❤
At the end of the season, me, who never doubted him says "This aged very well"
Gonna show it in the video or nah??
In each of the 3 games when he was substituted, Arsenal became a better team.
This is a player that came off last year's Chelsea team.. give him some time to get back his confidence and belief..
Chelsea fan here. Glad we offloaded him. We all think the same over in SW6. That said, the chap won the Cup with the Big Ears for us, so fair play - he delivered when it mattered.
Thank u❤! He's now performing better than he ever did at Chelsea.

For me the only player we bought from chelsea is worth something is Jorghino, every other time we bought dead wood.
I wonder how lost and confused the poster would look shoved into the first team. I'll stick with Arteta. Havertz won us the game v City and was composed even though he got shoved in the back.
What do you think now?

Check his pressing stats and defensive actions in the opponents 1/3 and you’ll see how much work he actually does
He does fokol
As a Chelsea fan I can confirm that he sometimes looks disinterested.
It may have to do with reaching the top of the world too young too... such thing may be like using crack for a month straight without sleeping and then trying to settle for a good fvck or something alike... if you don't have to prove anything to just be so much acknowledged, sometimes you just won't try.
buying Havertz was a big mistake; playing him is making it worse.
We don't, just like Havertz career wasn't judged on one game.
Imagine someone talking like he’s the manager. The same fanbase that made noise when Saliba was left on loan to develop, questioned Ramsdale, flogged Xhaka etc.
He just seems like he doesn't care most of the time
Yes, was lackluster but takes just three months to turn things around for good, only if can just give as much of support given by arteta and could have gone farther positive.
He needed to get rid of his Chelsea gene

As an Arsenal fan, Havertz isn't what we thought he would be...
Arsenals press system maybe needs a bit more time to adjust to and learn.. it's called patience try it some time
Odegaard starts our press mate… it would help if you understood that
Before Kai went to Chelsea he was a really good player. The Chelsea team was and still is all messed up. He didn't fit in at all. I think is slowly doing better each game and I'm glad he is doing better. I had my doubts about him. But does help the team now.

Maybe that's because Ødegaard is our elected press instigator? Would be a little silly for Haverts to press on his own don't you think?
If people actually watch the matches instead of blindly scrutinising players they'd see things. If you watch Havertz in every Arsenal game, you would notice he doesn't do anything without Ødegaard captaining his moves. Kai won't pressure unless
Ødegaard says so, he won't move into the space unless Ødegaard gives the green light.
Him coming to block the pathway for others like ESR is one killer decision Arteta has done.
Now in may 2024 Harvertz is performing really well 12 goals is half a season is well good
When a player turns up on the pitch with the mindset to not be criticised by those who incessantly do and to not make mistakes then it becomes a vicious circle.
He played against PL leaders Liverpool an hour ago with Odegard up front in a somewhat double False 9… and he was top class
Its called confirmation bias...😂
I think Arteta always knows that Havertz need to come late in the box, but there was need adjustment from Havertz or Arteta strategy.
Throwing him in the deep end won’t help him to adapt the system of the team
Give him some minutes here and there, he’s good player surely he’ll be good but the way Arteta handling him will kill his confidence
A pro footballer kicking wins/air in the 6 yard box is just lack of confidence, he’s already feeling the reaction and critics from the fans
He came in with a clear lack of confidence from Chelsea. He's quality but just needs a good psychologist. I believe.
The man is literally bigger than your whole club with a champions league winning goal 😂
Anyone remember Wiltord's first game , he was running around the field like a headless chicken .
Turned out as one of Arsenals better players .
That’s because Ødegaard leads our press mate 👍, he’s the trigger for the rest of the team
It’s called triggers. If your shouting at Havertz you must be having a breakdown when Nketiah plays😂😂😂
I really want Havertz to work and I sincerely do back the lad and would never want him to lose his confidence.
That being said, his performances so far haven't been good. Unfortunately this doesn't help his case with fans and critics alike.
Your welcome Arsenal fans. Love from Chelsea 😂
Why are you laughing? You got a world of problems. Caicedo and Mudryk looks worse than Havertz.
12th
This aged well
Just remembered how long it took for Xchaka to start playing well for us, Kai Havertz has a lot against him, including the price tag and a percentage of the fans on his ass, lets wait and see, Mikel has signed very few duds, he has gotten it mostly right
Odegard is normally the trigger to arsenal’s press, that’s what happened
Henry and Bergkamp took Very long to get going at Arsenal too.
He plays without confidence like he is scared and confused, plays a short 1-2 pass due to panic. Man needs to start acting German and burning on all cylinders by gaining some muscles.
Everything I think about this guy has to be true cos he appeared to not do something correct in his first game for us.
Bruh what? 🥴
