In this episode, we battle it out (or party it out?) at Baldur's Gate! It's a horrific match-up between horrors, dragons, wolves and dungeoneers. But as usual, it's gonna be GOAD ;)
The only thing in common is that all these decks are precons from the Commander Legends set, and we've limited ourselves to a $100 budget.

#QuintessentialCommander #MTG #EDH - Hry
None of us saw that coming...DID YOU? Have you played with any of these new cards??? 😊
I bought party time upgrade. Ran Burakos and Folk hero. That was some of the most fun I’ve had playing commander. Instantly ordered like $50 in upgrades and can’t wait to run it again.
This is probably my new main deck
Nice! Good choice :)
@@adamwhozit I've run it with both commanders and they were both fun in their own way. Naila is a scaling face beater with some card advantage and burakos is card draw+ramp.
Pretty cool way of pulling off the aetherflux/bolas citadel/senseis top line without the citadel or top. From looking at the precon i suspected the deck needed some wincons with non creature reach and my idea was chip damage with the party, amass a hoard of treasures and then try to win late with exsanguinate, debt to the deathless or torment of hailfire but i like paul’s take better :)
Guys that thendrils lf agony was AWESOMEEE!!
Seeing a storm win in EDH is epic already, but seeing an Orzhov deck storm off? That's out of this world dude... kudos to Paul!
Paul is awesome!
Indeed he is
Spoiler? 😢
@@matheus.lifestyle Dude... who the heck looks at comments before watching the actual game? smh...
Besides it's not like I'm the only one commenting on the results (because you know, people normally watch the game BEFOREHAND), why would you pester just me about this?
@@PraetorGix gee
Your comment is at the top. Anyways, relax bro. Didn’t mean to bother you. Sorry.
Take care.
The "solitaire style" gameplay can sometimes be frustrating to watch or play against, but Paul made it so entertaining and rewarding to watch towards the end. I really liked how this game resolved.
Otherwise, my favourite moment was when Gabriel double Spellskited.
Great game, guys! Thanks for another fun video.
Yeah his deck really went off unexpectedly 🤣 glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah. It's a fair solitaire play. Dun feel as cheap
My favorite moment was at 13:45 when Esmond tried to goad the Captain a second time but Gabriel just activated his MVP Spellskite again. Great stuff.
Lol yes TWO LIFE!!
Favorite moments: Gabriel’s comments throughout the game, “Herald’s Horn - it is a horror” and “I’ll gain another life”. Those plus any Spellskite interaction
What an ending, game was very entertaining. My favorite part was that finisher. I never would have thought to take the party time deck that route. I really want to see that dragon deck do more.
Paul is a very smart player and I really enjoy seeing him pilot this deck. He is so calm and always knows what to do next... Gabriel is as always very Gabriel. Love this episode
Just found you guys via Reddit! You've definitely earned a subscription. Favourite moment 100% was Gabriel activating the Spellskite an unnecessary extra time, but the whole video was great!
Awesome, thanks!!
Favourite moment was everyone's shocked reaction when the Tendrils of Agony was played!
I tried to pick a favorite moment, but it got Spellskite'd. Great game as always.
Comment comes before I've watched the video: I hope Esmond kept the NO NO NO NO NO NO NO segment because that's the most animated I've ever seen him during filming
Edit: it's here and it's just as glorious as I remember. NO NO NO NO NO NO
NO NO NO NO NO NO!
Favourite moment: Gabriel cracking his pack “Dragonhlwfugjl” - thinking it was a copper bronze dragon.
But I also really liked your thoughts and review of the decks at the end. Would be great if you spent a couple more minutes on this, elaborating on anything you felt went well or didn’t go as planned, or what you’d do differently. Not a deck review, but more how you felt it played out.
Gavriel is back!!! And mutilating his commander's name!!! Truly a treat!!!
Really love how adventurous the editing is becoming. So good!
Favorite part: SPELLSKITE MVP!! JUSTICE FOR SPELLSKITE!!
Favorite moment was when Matt saw the game winning storm spell and said, “Hoooolllllyyyy crap!”
Absolutely love the postgame talk. Please keep doing them, really insightful
My favorite moment was before Tendrils of Agony even left Paul's hand, seeing Matt lose all hope. HA! A great game as always, gang.
Hahaha yeah his face lol
Lots of good moments as always, but my favorite was the "You can't take that back" at around 15 minutes
Hahahahahaha yeah it was funny lol
Love the gameplay and man paul was on fire this whole game, but its gotta be the massive storm of tendrils
He just totally flew under the radar lol
Best moment is when Matthew called Esmond out on how his commander works. Great episode. Bought the horror deck and will be picking up the party deck next.
i really enjoyed the episode
my favorite moment of the game was the end seeing an orzhov deck storming off. great work ^^ also i like the party commander
Great episode! These precons are so good! Actually bought the full party and the mind flayarrrs decks. And I would've gone first probably since I pulled a full art Ancient Gold Dragon from the sample booster! 🙌
Favorite moment was definitely the finish. Paul storming off, wow! Did not see that coming at all! GGs!
Without a doubt, Tendrils was best moment! But... every Spellskite activation was pretty fun also lol
Every single Herald Horn moment! MVP of the game
Lololol broken horn
Loved the storm, it’s my favorite mechanic, so seeing the win with the double storm count was awesome; great game!
Yeah it was awesome ;)
Great game as usual.
Favorite moment was when Matthew pointed out there was no point in redirecting the goad to spellskite and having no take backs!
Hahahaha yes I enjoyed that too
Gabriel's background antics crack me up
Gabriel's hand gestures are as iconic as Matthew's permanent crusade vs Esmond 😂
My favourite Moment of the Game was at 17:10: the activation of spellskite, to redirect the ability, but Paul is like: I ain't gonna let that slide and then does it again :).
I just adore Spellskite and all the shenanigans you can do with it: auras no problem, kill spells no u and if you wanna kill yourself, then just "redirect" the ability of a fetchland to it as much as you can, to Peace out! of a Game.
Yeah it's a great card lol
"There's no harm in spending money if you get more money" - Words to live by
Wise words from a wise man
Great game! Matt realising how Firkraag works after Gabriel's spellskite shenanigans was hilarious.
Lololol yeah that was epic haha
OMG, that ending! That was awesome, def my favorite part. Great vid guys, keep 'em coming :D
Edmond realizing his commander was still going to trigger after the spellskite shenanigans was hilarious. Keep up the great content.
Omfg what a turn!! So clever to have Storm as a sub-theme, and Storm count 12??!!
It was also nice to see Faldorn a bit, he had some cool turns!
Another great episode! :)
I got the Faldorn Deck as well. Our Pod wanted to add a "precon round" to our magic evenings and Faldorn just goes off every game.
Great fun :)
I just got into magic recently. You guys are so fun to watch. And your editing is awesome!
Always love y’all’s content!
My favorite moment was the spellskite absolutely hosing Edmond with his goad triggers. Spellskite is one of my favorite cards and in my opinion is underrated.
Insane game, guys! My playgroup recently played 3 of these out of the box (we only had 3 players) and the horror deck went crazy (Matthew's commander was not played).
Seriously, I watch alot of these sorts of videos. I often skip ads and promotions. But if Gabriel is grooving and being strange in the background I have to watch. Don't ever change gabe
Lol I'll let him know
Fav moment has to be Paul’s last turn! What a way to win
Hey guys this was the first video i saw from You and i Thing You put a lot of work in the Video. Ist awesome and i Hose to See mana Mode Videos. Thumps up
Thanks!!!
Amazing ending. Didn't expect that from an Orzhov deck. Great match! Thanks!
A very fun gameplay as always, the Spellskite shenanigans made me laugh hard here
Great game! Thx for the great advice at the end about how to upgrade the precons, v helpful!
Thanks for the precon upgrade advice! I'm learning so much about mechanics from these games, some misplays are bound to happen even to veterans though. :p
Awesome episode with very powerful decks!
That ending wow! So good keep these up!
Ikr! We will, thanks!!
Another banger! Your gameplay videos are so good. Please put out 3 gameplay vids per day. You can sleep next year, k thanks.
Lololol thanks! I'll see what I can do 🙄
Terramorph doesn’t put it onto the battlefield tapped. Love the vibes y’all have when playing together!!
loved this episode, all of these decks look awesome.
Awesome video as usual, not hating but if anyone plays aetherflux reservoir again they should looking up the rulings. Its very confusing but essentially you cast 1 spell gain 1 life 2 spells 3 life, 3=6, 4=10, 5=15. Just a friendly intended comment to help minimize misplaces :)
The Party Time deck is definitely rough when you look at the base decklist. The only card in it that is busted is the gnome wizard and even then its only *okay*. Similarly I went in the direction of casting spells from the top, but I went with Doomsday. >: 3
Esmond is always the #1 archenemy of Matt.
That was an epic game. Love the instigator deck but damn that Party deck went hard! Matt was doing awesome, if he had more time we could have seen that deck go off hard. Gabriel's Spellkite became a total meme, so funny
Great episode, love your content and such an odd win condition in that kind of deck but it was epic
Really enjoyed seeing unique versions of the precon upgrades!
10:13 Oh no, Gabriel forgot to draw for turn😭
Great episode, as always🤗
EDIT: The "Deathstar" in Pauls Deck was insane! Very smart of him only really going all in on that one ability of Nalia that let's him cast from top of his library.
Man, it was so funny when the A. Reservoir hit the field... everybody knew that was the end of the game hahaha
Congrats to Paul for another win! 💪🏻
Fun episode. 👍🏽
I adore Matt. That pose in the thumbnail is 🔥
Great match guys! What a fun win :D
This last turn was amazing. Made me build Nalia!
Nice!
I tried to play with Nalia without modifying the deck, although my opponents played with their homebrews. I wish I had tried the alt commander. I got so targeted that despite playing terramancer on turn 2, it got removed and I failed to draw more lands until it was too late. I think my opponents were expecting me to pop off and the whole table focused on not letting that happen in any way. Very disappointing attempt to play the deck, but we'll see if it performs better in the future.
Otherwise, another great video. The interactions among you guys are always entertaining. Keep up the good work, Ez and friends.
I find Borakus + Folk Hero to be really good. Borakus feeding you Treasures really helps to keep making plays and Folk Hero keeps feeding you the cards to play.
TENDRILS OF AGONY AHHHHH. Great game ya'll!
Hahahaha yeahhh thanks!
Fav moment(s): most valuable horn ever
The Collector Sample boosters are so underwhelming, not just for Baldur's Gate, but also New Capenna. I get that they can't just give away expensive cards by limiting the card pool for a 2-card pack, but as they are now they don't really incentivize me to go out and hunt down "more" Collector Packs.
Firkraag is sweet! I've really enjoyed playing a non-spellslinger deck in Izzet colors recently!
THAT WAS AMAZING! What a way to end a game!
That final turn was super cool
Yes very.
I always enjoy this content. If i see a video of games haven i click. Keep up the good work.
Thanks :) Glad to see Neera
Favourite moment was the Tendrils of Agony outta nowhere :P
White Black storm deck is amazing to see in action
favorite moment has to be the tendrils of agony. it was so unexpected...
Lol my name is Matthew, and I came here to look for upgrades for Flaworn lol. What a coincidence!
Lol nice
Paul the most relaxing voice commander playera !!! Yeah !!
Let’s gooooo captain tentacle face !!!
Yes indeed
Great game again, like always!!
Thanks again!
Favourite part was definitely the spellskite proving its worth
Love to see combat damage wins , these decks very cool..
Paul storming off was crazy
What a wonderful game! Party Storm!!!! 🥳⛈
Yeahhhh! Thanks!
GG everyone was a great ending to a great game, keep up the good work guys, see u next time..
Came to see the Sefris deck, disappointed that he was running the Captain instead of Sefris 😅 also i call shenanigans on the budget haha, someone player a pathway land, aint no way youre putting a $5-6 land in a $100 deck surely?! (Or did you add $100 worth of cards? Maybe i misunderstood the budget).
Not disappointed in the content though :) keep up the great work :)
Sweet! I know what I'm watching on the treadmill later!
Awesome!
That was an impressive Storm win for being on a budget, I bet most of his money went to Aetherflux Resevoir.
That win was awesome, I actually thought Paul was the most unlikely to win not because I doubt Paul's ability but because Nalia is not as good as the other commanders and I say that as someone who kinda likes the party mechanic and loves WB decks
But my favorite part was when Esmond didn't read his commander everybody made fun of him LOL
Great game! Any possibility of lists of cards you took out and added to the precons?
Yeah the deck lists have the added cards in the sideboard and the removed cards under the "considering" section
Gabriel has Hax on all his stuff, Herald's Horn and the Sewer Nemesis that boosted Paul's top deck XD
Love aetherflux reservoir going off!
Kudos to Matt and Paul for really showing what their commanders can do. Thanks to Esmond for showing me that Firkraag is garbage and i should give up on that idea.
Favorite moment: Everything to do with Spellskite
Good game. But I belive Firkraag should have more counters on him, since it triggers for EACH creature that was forced to attack and deals damage to an opponent.
Omg that's right 😂 good spot! We completely missed that
Esmond should play Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer + Raised by Giants, the goad of the giant elf is great
Best spellkite ever
Definitely Spellskite doing Spellskite things!
Fav moment was when Gabriel used spellskite
Wasn’t Paul’s Grim Haruspex supposed to be goaded for his last combat? I don’t think it would’ve mattered for his win but just wanted to make sure. Great video! I love all your content!!
Hahaha yeah no difference anyways. Thanks!!!
Reading the card explain the card esmond, I think the gruul deck might take this game today?
Can you put the turn count # on the screen somewhere?
Storm finisher ftw.
Thanks as always for an entertaining game. CZcams may not like the language in this episode.
Hahahaha it wasn't much so I hope it passes 😅
Storm off king , classic win
