A Small Unit Combat Leader in the Central Highlands, South Vietnam, 1969-1970

Lt. Col. John C. Hedley (Army retired) served in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam, 1969-1970. He was a reconnaissance platoon leader of “Fox Force” in the 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry, 4th Infantry Division (the “Red Scarves”). He shares memories of that service. He also shares memories of West Point (graduating class of 1968) and the flight from the U.S. to South Vietnam.
