It's true, for must of us, it will put us off playing higher tiers as you'll meet one of them in a t-44 and think "Why am I doing this?". Too powerful. The BZ's are the same imho...

Agree, these days Tier 8 is the highest I play. Mind you end up in some higher tier games, but then I just assist our stronger tanks.

I'm so glad I no longer feel like I'm missing out on anything in this game, I just stop by for a few games every now and then. Feel sorry for all the people who feel like they need to throw their money away for pixels on a screen.

I don't because most folks saved up from last year after the 780 so it wasn't so much of fomo it was at least once a year a collectible tank will come out and if you want it save your resources just like folks that save their resources for new tank lines etc. It doesn't detract from anything, you can easily if good or even smart take this tank out and this guy played the entire game with only like 2 other players focused on him which tells me the other players on that team were gonna get steam rolled by someone if it wasn't this guy great players do this in just about any tank.
I dont get how its fun for you to know you are playing at a disadvantage to people who pay more money than you.
Personally that as well as all of the dark pattern monetization techniques is why I stopped playing the game.
@@BeefIngot I really don't care, I play games to have fun, not to be as competetive as possible. Which is also the reason why I don't play this game nearly as much as I used to. I can still have fun games in some of my favorite tanks occationally.
I looked at purchasing this yesterday when there were 5k left on the NA server. Even after using all the resources I had it would have still been $75 in gold. I decided this game wasn't worth spending that much on one tank.

Bruh on eu all were gone in less than 4 hours, i only got home 4hrs after it started, did they really think it qas gonna last till 10th of feb??😂 I had the resources as well...and a lot of players do on eu server, so they just get it, players like skill and daki have 1 mil free xp laying around anyway😂😂

This thing is outrageous.. the last 2days of playing, all I experienced is getting farmed by lions shooting gold ammo.. Im actually on a thin ice deciding to quit for the first time in 7 years..
I decided to stop playing for the 4th time in over 11 years after playing a few matches when this came out.
maybe take a break from top tier and play in lower tiers? less pressure to do well and more chances to enjoy the game
M56 scorpion with maxed view range and max cammo was my solution to this.

This player was afraid to load some AP. In fear of not penetrating everything without aiming. Skill based game indeed
Let's be honest here, if you have the resources, why would you cripple yourself by not using them?
If you have silver, there is absolutely no reason to ever load any AP except if you have Heat as gold ammo.

You get in and realise your only function is to be a gold sponge for the whales.
It helps that all of the tanks on the other team are ignoring him.
I noticed that, he could peak way to much for most games.
The FV4005 ain't ignoring him. He is just the luckiest person ever when he bounces the shell at the start..
This is how I play my lion to, except I don't ammorack the CS so I do only 400 dmg. Then the FV shell penetrates me and ofcourse no FV ever fired AP at me, it is a HESH round for 1750 dmg everytime! :D
I had a good game in Lion, and just as this video, you can have a good game as much as in any other tank. I don't think it's as OP as claimed in this video, it's a decent tank, very expensive and unique, but not on tier of some recently added tier 8 premiums.
Also WG didn't make as much money, simply because most of us bought tank with resources we had, at least by large margin.
Also, this particular game, ammo rack at start helps really final result of the game.
Also, it simply does not have higher DPM than Tortoise.
Also, this guy is a very good player, having 3-marked bunch of tier 10s.
So I believe this video is slightly biased, and I think that in this case, while I believe Quicky is a great guy and love is content, is kinda focusing on something that is not issue in game or smaller issue than some others.

Agree they ignored him for 99.5% of the game. Not a good game to show to be honest. I've met 4 in games so far and their damage delt was sub par, around 1-2k. Of those 4 I killed 2 with my RHM, 2 shot 1 in the side and the other was getting smashed by other TD's.

Usually when I play, many Lions are one shotted by FV's. For FV enjoyers, this mm must be heaven.
For a reason the gold ammo on FV gets absorbed by the Lion’s tracks..it happened a lot for me

Nope. I spent two days hunting Lions in my FV and missed 95% of the shots I fired, just like always. Only got a shot on one lion.
I remember time when WG says "we never make premium tanks, better than regular" So today we see, where it`s come.
I think all 6 years I have played I hear CCs saying "they have gone too far", and every so often a CC quits, and less often an employee quits, and WG keeps on doing it
The M6A2E1 debacle should've been the line. That was the moment WG proved to anyone paying attention that they don't give a single fuck about the players or the community. I'm just glad all this shit started while I was in college, so I just had to step back from the game anyway. Looking back, it was good timing.
I picked the wrong week to unlock the 121B. Hopefully the game will be more playable in a couple weeks after these things aren’t all over the MM. We really need WG to open up tier XI and XII for these kind of vehicles.
Decided to dust off my Batchat I used to CW with back in the day. These tanks could use the 4th shell every time and still outgun the regular auto loaders. smh.
My friends and I were on NA when it went live and completed our transactions in less than a minute and didn't get the style tanks. People were primed and ready.
The thing is, you get rewarded for playing aggressively, with a really good dpm… which makes the games even faster. I saw yesterday so many lions just rushing over the battlefield with success… it was a bit funny (to me at least, cause I don’t take the game serious)
well, I had very different experience, bunch of Lions sitting in bushes and camping, randoms were unplayable
Yesterday I had literally every game 4-7 lions each side and atleast 5 of them each side just sit on redline sniping until the end of 15min game time...
Totally! In this game it was the only lion. Yesterday was insane with like 6 -8 lions on both teams because of course everyone is going to want to play with their new toy.

According to the info the NA assembly shop opened at 8pm est. I got home four and a half hours later around 12:30am and they still had over 3200 available. I played around in my T8 Progretto and ran into some of these Lions. They take damage by everyone pretty easily it seems. Just dont get in front of one unless you are well hidden behind bushes and you should be fine. People were focus shooting them and dealing with it that way.
I decided to go Lion hunting in arty last night. Good times!
yeah, focus the italian tds, focus the bzs, every time they add something in the game is like all the game should be focusing on that tanks to have a chance... really nice balancing

Didn’t end up getting one of these, and it’s probably for the best. I think this game gets more and more frustrating every time I play it. The tanks that become more and more powerful make it less fun to play other tanks. I have a tier 10 Chieftain, and I haven’t touched it in a long time. Tanks like the chieftain and the Lion and the BZ 176 are just making it hard to even want to play the game. I think it’s time to put world of tanks down and play something else.
BZ 176 is a much bigger problem imo. People are going to get used to the Lion, load HE and send it to the garage early. It's not that maneuverable, the gun handling isn't that good, and most importantly it can't get shot at. QB is dreaming about the 10k damage game in this, and ignoring how many 1k damage games even a player as good as he is will have in this thing.

Lots of good games coming out this year. I still follow the CCs like QB and sometimes think of playing again (12 years) but I’ve had enough and being only human I don’t like being tempted to spend micro.
Anyway. Some awesome games this year like Baldur’s Gate 3, Starfield, Diablo 3 - to name a few I’m looking forward to.
Give forza horizon 5 a chance, i play that when I get angry on this piece of trash of a game.

I tried over-peeking the hill like this dude and got clapped by triangles sitting on the other side of the map. I'm happy he ended up with headless chickens on the enemy team...
I've got to say- whilst this thing is definitely OP, its not as bad as i thought it was going to be. In the hands of a great player its a troublesome foe, but the vast majority of players are not playing well, and its such a glass cannon that its easy enough to tear through them early

Yeah all the rich toy boys on the asia server last night were getting spanked 6 on my team 3 with zero damage, I laugh when they think a tank will make them a unicum its after 13 results holding at a 53.8 WR will see how that holds up

It would have been 10k even without the ammo rack, though not without the unextinguished fire immediately after. However, the one massive RNG thing that really let this game happen was the completely armorless Lion *bouncing* the FV 4005 shot at 0:55 that would have brought him firmly into being a 1 shot for the rest of the match. It could even have 1 shotted him if it was a max roll.
Here in the US I was prepared and ready. 6PM hits....Click, click, click in less then 60 seconds....Tank 4620.....15 more seconds never would have gotten a number....Crazy.....Rock on QB 🤘😎
My buddy took about 15 seconds and got number 541, I'm guessing people must of been using scripts to buy it. I have a screen shot of someone with 0001 from last night. They had to have given those first few tanks out I'm guessing

I don't think this tank is broken. Bz-176 causes much more problem especially for the low tier players.

This tank is indeed easy to counter. For every 30 Lions ive met yesterday only 4 of them had a really good game. In my opinion every tank can do that
@@innocentmilkman9002 I did not say lion is a bad tank. Lion have weaknesses. Bad armor, gun not the best, bad reverse speed. On the other hand bz can even troll tier X tanks. Insane armor for a tier 8. And derp gun easily farm weak spots.
I expect the 4th shell to be the key to 3-m marking the tank. You will basically have to learn to judge properly, when will you not need to shoot for 20s and thus can pump out an extra one, to prevent allies from getting that damage.
A very good argument made there by QB. I played for years and years and later on as this started to escalate, like the Lion, I did not want to be a part of the community anymore. I did not feel like spending an amount of money on one single item in the game that I can use to buy 2 full games to enjoy playing. I really found myself in that comment, that is absolutely why I stopped playing this game all together.
Meanwhile Skill and Dez's videos say "Free dmg" on the Lion, both featuring FV4005s

I have a simple solution to enjoy the game. Grind the Leo1, it’s free and it’s the best tank I have ever grinded.
“It’s OP” the immediate cry post tank release. One swallow does not a summer make. It’s a lovely tank to play but let’s give it some time for players to get used to playing against it before we judge.
I hit the button just as it opened and missed getting one under 500. I took too long adjusting the sliders. Split between Bonds, Gold and Free experience. I mostly grind as new tanks are added. I started in early Beta and play when I feel like playing. Same in WoWP and Alpha in WoWS.
In Armored Warfare I do have the follow up design the OF-40 of which 18 were built. In game it is a tier 4.
Imagine a Lion with a t3 fire control system, Bond vents and Bond optics + 5 skill crew...
After watching this video I thought “maybe I will go and have a few games”.
After 15 straight defeats, I think I will call it a day.

This is the same as when wg pushed the envelope of the meta by releasing the Chrysler k and the obj 279e and the introduction of v shaped hulls. They cater to those who spend money on a free game because thats what keeps them afloat so they’re not going to stop releasing op tanks.
NA server for me, I got home early and within 30 secs, I was at 3400 number for my Lion.
It is soon my playstyle. My best tank is bisonte so this is just like that!!
For me, I have a tier 10 now that I won't lose credits on AND I can play to my full effect. Only have 3 tier 10s after 3 years of playing, so I love it.
Luckily for me I got heaps of gold from Christmas, but I'm sacrificing that gold for battle pass time.
Oh well. Even needed, this tank is my cup of tea

Hello QuickyBaby! I like your videos... The last battle I had was on 04/26/2022. When I see what WG is doing, well I think that stopping playing this game was a good choice...I liked the game at first and I have 46801 battles with 53.60% win ratio.
If I know WG, they will sell this more times because how popular and good the tank is. Plus knowing they will get massive instant $$$.
It will most likely take them a while before that will happen but I won't be surprised if we see Lion in some future Black Market, auction or such.

more like time for a skill-based mm so that all those full-gold p2w players only play against each other and normal players can actually have fun again playing high tiers....

At least on the American server, tanks like these become priority so they end up not being overpowered because everyone targets them immediately

I feel a good player could’ve done that in any good DPM medium tank. All the lions I’ve faced have been driven by tomatoes and rushed to the front, got caught out, and killed. It’s not so much it’s OP, it’s just got the “next best thing” hype which will eventually fade

I've been penned through the turret from prammo rounds of regular tanks. Did I also mention the 5 degrees of gun depression? 121b isn't OP anyway, it's just a good tank

there are games that we quit and feel the need to comeback, then there is world of tanks, which i never regreted for a minute.
Last tank I bought was when the E25 came out originally. 6 odd years ago.

QB give time for statistics to accumulate to see a clearer picture of performance of this vehicle compared to other tier 10 meds.
QB's criticism is entirely valid. I don't think wargaming envision a long future life for this game, as they seem to be going for short term profit at the expense of all else.
It's what they've done all along for many many years. They solve it by just introducing something a little better next time. Look at the Defender for example. Obscenely OP when released, now still good but kind of run of the mill tank outclassed by other premiums. They'll just keep on power creeping the game and rake in the profit all the while.
@@sirtogii5216 yeah, but ever since the introduction of the Vipera and especially of the BZ-176 the powercreep has gotten extremely out of hand. WG releases ever more OP vehicles at ever shorter growing intervals.

Panzer2J, Type59,, MikroMaus, Lorraine, Chrysler, T22 Med, Defender, Skorpion G , Bourasque etc etc, all better than the Vipera ever was even when it was introduced. The BZ and now the Lion are just evolutions of what has been going on since day 1. It's all power creep, that's all. Every new heavy tech tree looks at IS7 T110E5, AMX50B or E100 and makes them slightly better like Obj277, Super Conq, Kranvagn and the 60tp. Sometimes throw in the odd line that either breaks the meta and get nerfed to hell = Japanese heavies, or just suck ass Chinese TDs that nobody plays. There has been no acceleration, just new players not remembering what its always been like.
It's the T-59 all over.....in it's early days it was unbeatable and everyone had/wanted one

Even with the supposed high logins, wargaming is acting like it means nothing to them, with how aggressively they're milking the game. Maybe they know something we don't. Maybe the paying player base is shrinking? I've played WoT for 11 years and paid a lot, but I'm tired of it and less and less inclined to put more money into the game as they do more and more stupid game breaking stuff. Maybe other feel this way too, who knows?

The problem with this thing is what’s broke about it. It’s too fast with ridiculously good dpm and gets in position to fast to use it. Feels like it almost just as good if not better than the leopard now.

@@leudast1215 no, because the Lion can go hulldown and fight in close-quarters combat. The Leopard 1 can't do that, it can only snipe. Although the sniping capability of the Leo 1 is better due to the better accuracy and gun handling, the overall performance of the Lion is much better since it is a much more flexible tank and not only reserved for sniping. Like what are most tier 8s gonna do against the Lion when it is hulldown? Exactly, nothing, while a Leo 1 would get shredded to pieces if it were ever to try that.
@@leudast1215 The player in the replay has been playing since 2013 and I assume has played the Leopard and yet he scored his highest DPM ever playing the Lion in just a few battles at most. This doesn't mean the Lion is obviously better than the Leopard, but throwing out 'inexperienced' and "Leopard is better" after seeing an extremely experienced player doing his best ever DPM in a Lion and not a Leopard seems to be more a leap of faith than careful analysis.
Leopard is still definitely better. I find it really interesting that apart from QB and the his community, others really don't seem to think that the Lion is OP or game breaking
Played a grand battle last night after the sale, it was crazy 10 plus Lions on both teams. MM is broke so it is, and now they throw this in. Would just be nice if they fix/balance the game issues they have.
What can be done about power creep - nothing I think. No one is going to purchase a new tank that is weaker than what is currently available. I am sure folks have talked about additional lobbies (i.e. - Only tanks available as of 2018?? whatever or no auto loaders). I own a T-34 that at one time was a solid choice to play. Now I take it out once in a while out of nostalgia but feeling a bit guilty that I am actually hurting my team before the match even starts. Perhaps some new compensatory system for playing tanks that are gathering dust (extra XP? extra Bonds?? a Dinosaur camo to show you still play dinosaurs :)). How about XXX (fill in your old fave)day - where if you play this tank for 5 matches you will be entered in a raffle and can win ???? (10 premium days?, special camo, a cool velocirpator crew man :). WoT should put together a team to discuss ways to encourage players to play a wider variety of tanks (even bad ones). New and better tanks are always going to be sold (WoT like any other business has to generate new revenue and this is a proven strategy for this) but that does not mean we have to forget about the dozens of tanks gathering dust in our garages.

Yeah. And a decade ago they went and nerfed Super Pershing, whose only power was its armour, because idiots had trouble penetrating it frontally. Now they seem to put monstrously OP vehicles into the game every other month, and they just don't give a damn.
Bounces FV4005 AP shell, which could have been as any normal FV4005 player HESH and 1 shot him and end the battle there.
HESH shells can bounce on the mantlet as well btw, as I found out yesterday.

QB downloading an Asian client to practice his APM is amazing.
And corporations not caring about the majority of players and focusing on a small "premium" elite, is nothing new. Annoying and frustrating yes, but not surprising.
At least us TD players are having some fun. Load up the HE and farm them up.
...thats exactly the way to play the Italian autoloaders...I figured that out when they first dropped on console with the T8 Progetto...
What I see is a player, using the tank's strength, on a favorable map, with a team that was helping, and an opponent that played the map badly. Big results usually directly tie into a major mistake.

No running reload of the magazine. Use all four shots. But reload magazine faster.
After 21 seconds all four shots should be ready.
I actually forgot about this going on yesterday. I logged in today and there were still 2500 standard tanks left on the NA server. I picked one up without a skin.
NA is way more dead than EU, plus we got more ppl from the russians servers

It took me maybe 10-15 seconds to buy my Lion and I got 1966 on NA. (Regret not just spending full FXP. I took the time to use blueprints too)
Definitely a lucky game from this player though. In the beginning he was overpeaking a lot and the two heavies for the most part ignored him.
He then blocked an AP shell from a 4005, and sat on a ridgeline shooting a Maus right in the line of sight of the 4005 that just shot him (and the 4005 was still there)
Risk generates reward I guess.

naah after BZ-176, 122TM, Borat and Pastagetto there is no question whatsoever what WG is thinking. They aren't.

I logged in on the NA server and started right as the assembly shop went active. Less than 90 seconds later I received my non-skinned Lion, but I am thankful to have one!
I took 73 seconds and got a non-skinned tank. I think all were gone in less than 5 minutes.
just another vehicle id like to collect but will never see but it does look like fun for now but give it a couple weeks

Wargaming nerfed a bunch of premium ships (Kutusov as an example) in World of Warships 4-5 years ago. They let everyone decide whether to keep the ship in its nerfed form or get the doubloons it cost. Didn't cause a mass exodus or too much whining and made the game less toxic when you saw those ships in battle. Nothing says they can't do the same in WOT.
They nerfed a few premiums and reward ships after release in recent years too. Hyuga for example had its reload nerfed a little after release. Stalingrad had its radar duration nerfed, and Thunderer the range. Admittedly, the radar nerf is really not much, but the Thunderer range nerf was slightly more noticable.
Another thing I like about WOWS is that they actually seem to know how to release balanced premium ships.
I thought I'd love the lion, cus I love the progetto 65 and carro. But for some reason the lion just is not working for me right now. I have bond vents and aiming device with vstab and the gun still feels so damn derpy. Just this morning I could at least 8 shots in 2 games were the gun missed fully aimed shots at less then 100 meters, and the tank gets ammo racked everytime someone farts at you.. so far the progetto 65 gun feels much better, but maybe it's just cus there are so many other lions out right now, I think I'll wait a week to play it again.
For me I love playing both the prog 65 and the lion but it's prob cause I just love autoloader meds
@@kings_nemesis5995 I love them to. But for some reason the gun on the lion just feels really derpy. Progetto 65s gun is way less derpy. Maybe field mods will change that idk.

Lion is a good middle ground between Carro and Progetto 65, i love the carro but the gun handling paired with atrocious standard shells make it a gold spam tank. I run carro with turbo/vents/vert stabs and after trying out IA on the lion, i might switch turbo on it as well
They also get the ‘cloak of invincibility’ RNG at the moment. Last game of the day missed 3 shots sub 100m in leopard and bounced 3 off side of two different Lions!!! As if they were not OP enough 😖
I was surprised that the styles managed to sell out on NA since they didn’t last time. 13k tanks sold last time I checked when the server as a whole doesn’t even have that many players on at once half the time.
In my opinion, the Lion can also be considered a NFT.

Agree with others, these super tanks will just make the lower tiers more attractive. Course WG does not make as much there but OH WELL.
I didn't get a numbered Lion on NA, and I was done in 59 seconds, and a lot of that was spent on the interface being slow to load... so yeah.
Lets be real -- the are similar "super-game" videos for every tank in the game. That doesn't mean that the tank is OP. I personally haven't seen Lions dominating the game. Second: I didnt pay a dime (in-game gold) for this tank, so WG didnt make millions here ... but I missed the number, because all styles were gone in 1st minute and that sucks ... WG should give a style to everybody who bought this tank in .. for example ... first 5 or 10 minutes. Not to piss off players. I didn't try yo get two-digit number, so I did not do any rehearsal, but for this price I feel having a right to receive unique style with number.
Power creep is getting higher and higher. There is more and more tanks like this that belong in higher tier than they are in, so maybe best solutin in future is make aditional tiers of top tier tanks tier 11 or maybe even tier 12. That would be win win for all premium and non premium players and even veterans that have all tanks, give them new tanks to grind and move some of the stronger tanks now up by one tier like this one.
I want to see them do it again but with regular ammo then it will be real skill

@@phipschi4255 that's my point WG intentionally made the regular ammo bad to force you to use gold ammo, and the players use it since its easier to kill enemies to just hit them anywhere than shooting at weak points
The problem with this type of tank release is that no matter what time they release the tank, some people will miss out because they are at work or so somewhere else. I really wanted a lion but by the time I got home from work, they sold out. I understand limiting the number of skins but there should be more than enough tanks that anyone can buy it.
I woulnd’t worry so much. Of the 65.000 delivered to players, only a small percentage are unicums. I’ve had a Lion in enemy team yesterday with 36% winrate lol. Most will do pretty bad in this tank…Unlike Clan reward tank players are by definition unicums.
even QB is not good enough to do good in this, his stats in this are worse than his tier 9 stats
The sad thing is that you are helping them do this. They knew full well this tank was OP and they knew that people like you would make reviews of it with the early access you got to it saying how OP it is. So you have huge streamers/youtubers saying how OP it is and its only going to be available for a short time...Of course everyone is going to try and buy them as fast as they can, at least those people sad enough to still be playing this pay to win trash. You are helping them, encouraging them to pull this shit every time you do one of those reviews.

I play on the NA server and I work night shifts. The event didn’t start until 7pm my time and 7pm is the start of my shift… so I had to wait twelve and a half hours for my shift to end and get home to get it… there were only 2k left
They went away from nerfing stuff you buy becuase in some parts of the world you can get sued and they did amnd they lost. Thats why now premiums tend to be sold with a warning that it could be “rebalanced” since the stuff they used to sell they cant nerf.
As an on/off player of WoT, I have just put my tier X tanks on the shelf, collecting dust. I mostly play tier V to IX.
And the pain of grinding these days at tier VI to VIII, why even bother? Another problem with the massive amount of premium tanks is that they come to the game in their best state. No need to grind a better gun, you already have it. So the players that actually grind, find that most targets they face has to good armor or mobility, unable to contest. And with a stock gun, the dmg beeing traded is not comparable. If there were a limit to how many premium tanks there could be in one battle, that could compensate. But why would WG do that, when this game meta is premium-tanks, premium equipment and premium account.
Back in the day when the CDC came out, I remember it so well. It was the fastest tank but lacked armor, and for a reason. It had a balancing factor. These days, every medium from tier VIII and up goes just as fast or even faster, but they lack a balancing factor. The Löwe was a strong heavy, but only in it's enviroment. It had a balancing factor. The BZ, not so balanced... And at tier X now with the Lion. It's like QB says, it will be played by the most hardcore players, but at the cost of us that play weekly on and off. So in the end, by buying these types of tanks, the hardcore community slowly takes a piece of the game away, one piece at the time. And at this state, I don't belive that WG can fix the game with nerfs or buffs, that ship has sailed long ago. No, they will milk this cow until it is bone dry and starved to death. And as their busy workers to see that beeing possible is QB other CC's (no offence). They are the ones that have been bought by WG, to make you pay WG any amount of money for some pixels in a broken game. As long as CC's promote the game, we are gonna see more tanks in the game similar to the Lion.
But in the long run. As long as you don't regret buying these tanks when the game is long gone... See it as an hobby that you pour your money into. But if you were to get a feeling of regret, stop now. Don't waste any more money into the game.
I have found my joy in the game. I only play tanks I have fun in. Like the T95, the ELC bis, the CDC, the IS3 or the KV2. Just chill play and no regrets. 👍

7:40 I'm one of those who've moved on, sad since I enjoyed this game way back in 2011. I recently bought Gunner Heat PC and enjoying it massively even though it's only early access. People need to stop giving WG money and move on from this game.
