Considering what you had to work with it was never going to be a perfect replica but it certainly does capture the spirit of B.A’s van. I was pleased to see the silver over black, many folks miss that important detail.

As long as I was watching the video, I noticed the name of the one of the producers of the show, Stephen J. Cannell. I recognized the name, not only for being the producer of The A team, but also of being one of the invited guests of the Castle TV show, back in 2009 and 2010. Unfortunately, Cannell passed away from a menaloma cancer in 2010. RIP Stephen Cannell.
And, of course, amazing resto work buddy, I know your channel from a short time, but you've a talent for this kind of stuff. Keep it up!

  • @woodandwheelz

Hey Buddy, A quicker way to straighten is to right click on the Eye Dropper Tool and select the Ruler Tool. Make a line on a straight line you want to base leveling on then under the image tab, select Image Rotation - Arbitrary - OK. It will then straighten it up according to your line you made with the Ruler Tool. Bam, your done. I actually scan my diecasts on my scanner (at 100%) then do all of the editing in Photoshop. And, just as the way you're doing it, you don't need to print out several copies and hope one fits. I have found that with the scanning the car is already sized properly. Most scanners automatically scan at 100% and you don't need to set anything. But each program is slightly different so you may need to check if it is anything other than 100%. Also, when using the pen tool, when you need to make a straight line, just hold the shift button and when you click your next anchor point it will be straight. It only works for 0°, 45° and 90° though. I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you.
P.S. I'm not saying your doing it wrong, just offering a different way that works faster for me. I'm working on a video on scanning cars now. I'll post it sometime mid October.

    @GMO--ge4ir Před 4 lety +4

    Oh yeah!
"I love it when a plan comes together ❤️!"
    Just a couple of (few😚) things: -
The lights on the roof needed detailing.
The 2 smaller lights (spot-lights?) near the center of the grille needed to be painted in.
The "GMC" logo HAD to be painted in red (I know it was blacked out after the 1st season).
There was space for the licence plate, which coulda used a little blue paint?
A little blob of red paint to cover-up the center of the wheel axle?
And even though it's missing from the casting, maybe you coulda done sumpin' for the sun-roof?
Also,I noticed some rough edges on the passenger side window, coulda used some filing down?
I've been wondering just exactly how you get your decals the right size.
So thanks for showing us how that's done.
    Very interesting!
A master at Photo Shop too, huh?
Wouldn't it have been easier to just paint in the red stripe?🤔
