- When Dad’s working on the weekend, there’s a whole pack to help me look after the kids. Not just a few, about 16. 🤣🤣 And with 5 German Shepherds and a Rottweiler in there, it sometimes feels like I could just step out and all would be ok. Their parenting methods are very hands on and a little helicopter style, but the kids love it, no kid is ever left behind and there is always one standing beside them to take a fall.
All the dogs at the farm love the children. The puppies make beelines for them over us adults.
Banjo couldn’t choose between puppies and kids. Both are his favourite. At one point I wonder where he is, and low and behold he’s over by the puppy playground babysitting the puppies through the fence. Looking back to the house like, cmon over here and let me in there with them.
So we all go over to the puppy playground. The littlest shyest ones love Evie. They happily follow her skipping around. Evie is that kid that sings to herself about rainbows and unicorns, daydreaming always, and loves most especially the smallest of anything. So the littlest puppies and the shyest ones she obsesses over, and they return the adoration.
At dinner time, Maggie is learning more signs. Wait/hold and free. She’s doing really well. Another big lover of the children. She must have had a young family with little ones at one time.
Freddo is a true love bug. He just needed someone to trust. Now you couldn't ask for a better more well trained dog. I love watching him play with the kids, he's so gentle, especially around Wolfie. And Banjo is the puppies pillow for snuggling. What a good big brother❤️❤️

Makes me so happy to see gentle Maggie respond to Luke's hand signs. She's one smart doggo.💖
The farm is the closest thing to heaven that I've seen on Earth. All these happy fur babies and the way you all interact with them is very uplifting. God bless you all for everything you do.❤😇❤😇
Watching Banjo going to check on his puppies was so cute. Miss Pink and Mr Red following Evie was so sweet. I don't think Enzo knows what to do about playing crocodile with Miss Violet. Shadow is so patient with the puppies. Sam has the best line ever, "Maybe just save the baby." Watching Enzo go over and making sure Miss Red and MIss Violet and Mr. Orange are playing nice is so sweet. Feeding time is fun to watch.
Sam's comment was hysterical...and even more so because she said it so calmly!🤣🤣
Historically GSD's are herding dogs. Banjo is herding the puppies. It's adorable to watch.
He seems to have endless patience!

I’m astounded by shadow’s progress, I was so anxious about her. I was unconvinced she could change & used to watch almost holding my breath with fear of what might happen. She looks like a different dog, her coat is silky & her face is soft with gentle eyes. Obviously Luke’s knowledge & experience was a huge factor in her rehabilitation but I’m still amazed watching her now.

The adopters missed out on something wonderful with that Freddo. He seems like the ambassador for good dogs everywhere.
Love & the right training made Freddo into a wonderful, protective (in the best way) family dog. It is just so sad that he had to wait so long for doggy happiness. On the other side of the coin, at least he will be able to live out his senior years blissfully happy.
Freddo is a very, very good dog. Too bad so sad for the ones that passed him up.
They certainly did but it was meant to be because he is now living every dog's dream! Plus, we followers get to see him all the time which suits me because Freddo is one helluva beautiful boi!! Love you Freddo! 😻😻😻😻 (Still can't believe he had no applications though. 😿)

How hilarious to see Bailey or was it Barney drooling bubbles while Luke was serving the meal bowls. I love seeing the dinner ritual, and the special training the sweet Maggie is getting. The entire video made my heart sing. I get such joy from the Evans family-the children, Luke and Sam, and the bow-wows. Seeing how the 5 German Shepherds and the Rottweiler are Nannies by nature for the children and puppies. This channel is a gold mine. Much love from Pennsylvania.

It's so impressive how you manage family life let alone the doggy day care. I am sure Lukes military background and Sam's organisational multi-tasking skills all come into their own. It's day care everyday! Youre a great team. 👍
Not long after following DDFT, I found myself thinking, there is something really special about Evie pre Wolfric. You’re description of her personality is beautifully stated.
With that being said, Elle is unique in her own way and Wolfric is unique in his own way.
It’s so refreshing to watch parents parenting their children in the manner in which they should be, free to develop into their own unique personalities.

Elle's a pack leader. So cute how the GSs follow her around. Puppies love Eve too. These dogs will never realize how good they have it, well, except for Freddo, Shadow, all those that came from the world outside the farm.
What a wonderful place to be, where everyone can just be themselves.
Hmmm, I wonder who is in control of water fetch? Freddo, has everyone trained to stay while he you swims to the ball. He is definitely in charge! Love you Freddo.

Love to see the children and dog interactions. I feel sorry for kids who were not raised with dogs/ animals. They teach us unconditional love, compassion, and forgiveness(when we accidentally step on their tails). They quickly forget any transgressions. We need to be more like them.

Five German Shepherds, and a Rottweiler....it is such a joy to see them all...and very much "paws on" when it comes to helping!
I can agree that you have about half a dozen helpers on kid-herding! They're so attentive. Banjo and the puppies racing at the fence was too cute. Of course you had to go play with them. Love how mellow Shadow is amongst the chaos of puppies and kids. She's so at peace. Maggie's doing so well, faster than I expected. Evie's going to be your opera/movie star, she's so happy in her own space - especially if that space is full of puppies. That's wonderful. Boy, look out when Wolf figures out how to shape those words - he's got a lot to say. I think those shepherds would turn themselves inside out if Elle wanted them to, lol. Great video!

It is hilarious watching young Evie leading the stafy pups on their adventures. Banjo is such a wonderful nanny to all these pups. Watching the relationship between all these pups and their humans is so heartwarming. Maggie is very intelligent young pup it is fascinating to watch her training with Luke. Boxer bubbles. These video make every day better, dogs sort themselves out and Luke gives them some guidance when needed. My appreciation to all of the folks at the farm, Evie, Elle, and now watching Wolfie become mobile never fail to bring a smile.

It's so wonderful to watch the girls, dogs and puppies. Soon Wolfie will join that mix! I wonder which shepherd will take on that assignment?? They may have to make that shift work cause he is going to be a busy boy for sure! Loved Barney's Boxer bubbles!! Always love watching the Misses and their antics. It was great to see a shepherd run down and check on Miss V when she was knocked down playing with Miss R and the white puppy. As soon as it was clear all was well, back it came to the kids. Evie singing is a sure sign of a happy girl!! I know I would be singing as well. Best line today was Sam saying "Maybe just save the baby!!" Thank you for this wonderful slice of life! 🐾💜💓🐶🐶🐶👀🌞🌧🥰
One big happy family, Sam, Luke, Elle, Evie, Wolf, and all the dogs and puppies enjoying a beautiful fall day together.
So many special characters. So many stories. I could watch them all day. Doggy daycare is my 'go to' channel every day. Love it. Thank you for cheering me up without fail. Currently without a fur baby (in training for the disabled) 💕 Waiting for my next recruit to socialise. They are all so special. When they are with me they watch intently too while we both relax.
Banjo is very special, he just can't help it. And your kids have a wonderful life, they are so lucky to have you as parents, AND to live in the midst of your beautiful family dogs, daycare dogs, and rescue puppies. I'm sure a lot of us watch this channel a bit misty-eyed x

Dear Sam and Luke, you are raising the most amazing children. Their generation will continue to honor and protect nature and animals because of the examples you give them. They are all sweet, loving, giving souls...just like their Mum and Dad.

Your family is so lucky. People get up and try to figure out where they can go for a family outing. All your family has to do is walk out the door and you have everything. I have to say first up, Barney you restored my faith in boxers with your drool bubbles. I was starting to think they had bred drool bubbles out of the boxer breed. I always had extra tissues around at meal times when my Boofa was still with me. I miss that boy and his cheeky antics.
Weekends at the farm are such a fun time, the girls running barefoot in the grass with the dogs right behind them. Wolfie having his say about what they and the dogs big and small are doing. Sam, you are the master of one liners, I nearly fell of my chair when you told Luke “ maybe save the baby”.

Much as I adore the daycare doggies, I just love the family dozen and a few extra ring ins, its so calm. Looks like a nice sunny weekend for you after all the rain you've had and warm too, the girls in shorts and t-shirts! Little Wolfie is adorable in pink florals, a hand me down from the girls I'm guessing! The puppies are so cute and growing so fast. Well done to Maggie with the signing commands, she is one smart dog! Thanks for the video it was really lovely.
Beautiful video. Just love how all the dogs, puppies and children all interact with each other and love on each other and play and protect. Thoroughly enjoyed every 18 minutes and 27 seconds of this video! It's terrific to see all the 2 and 4-legged kids playing together. What a great start in life for those sweet puppies. They will be wonderful family members when they find their furever homes. Loved Elle on the bed with the GSD pups. They are the right size for her to snuggle with! 😻
After you mentioned the length of the video, I had to go back and double check that's all the longer it was. So much was packed into it, I thought it had to be longer than that.
You all have done such a beautiful job tailoring the attitudes of the shelter dogs. They know how to be happy, how to trust again, and simply be in the moment. Well done. They appreciate your efforts 10-fold.

I just love how Shadow is such a natural part of the family! I just love watching her. Sam, that piano ragtime is perfect for the puppies. We should call it either "Puppy ragtime" or the Dylan shuffle", lol. I just had a weird vision of sometime in the future, Evie coming home for the weekend from drama school in Sydney (Elle would be in vet school), serenading the latest bunch of rescue puppies with her one act play! 😂😂 Thanks for sharing these lovely family moments! Beautiful moments from your weekend. Everyone is so relaxed and mostly calm. I realised something watching the puppies in the playground - another plus to the many pluses of adopting one of your beautiful foster puppies is they already climb stairs which is something most puppies don't know how to do.
