    Thank you for this lovely poppy pattern. If I may make one hopefully constructive comment, when you say eg, two stitches in or into the next 4 stitches of the previous row, please could you say into EACH of the next 4 stitches, it just stands out more to hear the word “each”. I am more than a beginner, but for a real beginner, it I think it will help.
    Thank you! 🌻

    The beginning part seems to repeat itself twice and the stitch count on the third round seem wrong. Otherwise , apart from the particularly loud music, it’s well shown. Think it needs relooking at.

    • @Katieree
      @Katieree  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Kerry!
      Thankyou so much for your feedback. You are right! The first part does repeat itself 😱 Thankyou so much for picking that up!
      Have a great day, and happy crocheting.
      Kate x

      Hi, I agree in round 4 I have too many stitches. Round 3 is ok, I have 40 but round 4, we do 2 double in the next 8 that makes 16 but in the next round it says to do 2 single in the next 8 but I have 16 stitches then!!!!
      At the end of round 4 I have 72 stitches in total...

  • @CarruthersDruthers
    @CarruthersDruthers Před 4 lety +3

    After round 3 of the red colour, I have 16 dc. I am confused in round 4 when you say to add 2 sc in each of the 8 dc? :(

    • @Katieree
      @Katieree  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi! Thanks for watching!
      After round 3 you should have a total of 40 stitches.
      In round 4 you will slip stitch into the next stitch, then work 2 single crochets into each stitch for the next 8 stitches. Slip stitch into the next 2 stitches and repeat all the way around, finishing on the single crochets.
      If you’d prefer a written pattern you can find it here www.nannakatescrochet.com/blog/remembrance-poppy-crochet-pattern
      I hope this helps x

    • @gwenaellenorcutt6889
      @gwenaellenorcutt6889 Před 3 lety

      I think the same. There is something wrong. I have 40 stitches at the end of round 3 and 72 stitches at the end round 4.

      Hi Ruth!
      Thanks so much for watching. You can find the free written pattern here - www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-4-petal-poppy
      Double crochet is US terms and Treble crochet is UK terms.
      I hope this helps! 🌻

    Kate as a non crochet person can you slow the video please? You've speeded it up and I need to see what a doubly crochet actually is. Thanks.

    • @Katieree
      @Katieree  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Angela!
      I recommend learning the stitches first and then coming back to this video, as this isn’t a stitch tutorial. You can find my tutorial for the double crochet here 🙂 - czcams.com/video/HV41kZypdmI/video.html
      Otherwise you are able to slow the video down on your end by going to the video settings 😊
      I hope this helps! 🌻
