He could not even get Mexico chip in a nickel towards the cost. He was lying then, and he is lying now. He deportation orders will just cause more problems and government expenses. Many of the children separated from their parent's have not been reunited with their families to this very day. His actions have been tremendously harmful and traumatic to innocent children, whether undocumented or not.

I once had a friend who behaved similarly, and his actions and lies eventually ended our friendship. When I look at Trump, I notice many of the same mannerisms and behaviors. He genuinely seems to believe his own falsehoods. I've tried to help those in the MAGA movement see through the misinformation, but they often don't, so I've learned to disengage. While MAGA may not fully fit the definition of a cult, it certainly shares some striking similarities. History shows that radical groups have risen and fallen before, and I believe the same will happen with MAGA. The real question is whether the Republican Party will be taken down with it.

When someone tells 10 lies every minute and swears by the lie the second it is called out, it becomes exhausting and feels pointless to keep fact-checking. That is exactly how Donny has gotten with so much his whole life. It is like dealing with a child's tantrum. Eventually, a tantruming child can wear down an already exhausted parent, and the parent decides it is not worth the fight and to just but the kid the 50 cent lollipop because that 50 cents will buy the parent a half hour of peace.
The press is just like that parent. They don't call Trump out on his lies because they figure they are small things they let him get away with so he thinks he has "won" something and they don't need to deal with him attacking their careers or networks.
The thing is, a parent who gives in and buys the tantruming kid the lollipop will soon start to always just giving the lollipop, and as the kid gets bigger, the demands are far more than a lollipop. If the parent says no, the kid will do exactly what worked the first time- tantrum and wear them down until they again give in and purchase the bigger demand. Then, when the kid is old enough that their demands stop being little things and start to become things of real consequence, it is too late to change.
This is exactly what happened to the media with Trump. His willingness to attack specific reporters and the media in general, and to exclude them from events they want to report scared them enough that they were willing to let his little lies slip. And as his power to actually hurt the mainstream media grew, his lies also grew. At this point, his lies are so pervasive that the press no longer distinguishes between them and, with few exceptions, just leave them unchallenged. They originally let things go because they did a cost-benefit analysis and decided that letting his hyperbole alone was easier than enduring his wrath. Now, they are trapped with the spoiled monster they created, and the few times they do make an effort to call him out they are quickly shut down.

He'd be in a better position and would have had better say as to Ukraine not joining NATO. So in fact, Putin is not a genius. Putin is a war monger and a murderer. No matter who got elected here, he should never have gone into Ukraine and displaced all of those millions of people.
He's also said multiple times had he won in 2020, Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine, but Putin would have been planning and preparing the entire time Trump was in office.
