Kamito Yank has "A graveyard" as he target, you can steal lands from your opponents graveyard
Time to put Crucible of Worlds to good use!
unfortunately that doesn't quite work 400.3 If an object would go to any library, graveyard, or hand other than its owner's, it goes to its owner's corresponding zone. But at least you have the flexibility of putting your opponents land back into their graveyard for things like Bloodchief Ascension a lot of similar cards specify creature so it's probably not great but it's something
@@jarzz3601 Well, in Un-Rules it would work. There are a few cards that put opponents' cards into your hand.
we cannot assess cards by un-rules that way madness lies @@whaleofdarkness
@@jarzz3601 I don't know if MtG has such a rule, but Yu-Gi-Oh has a rule where if a card and a rule conflict, the card is what you follow (unless there is a rule that governs very specifically over that specific effect, like how "ignoring the summoning conditions" only does so from the graveyard or banished when the card is sent there when it was properly summoned before (no such problem from the hand or deck of course), but that's not a problem here).
So in Yu-Gi-Oh, this would work despite that normally cards of yours can never end up in your opponent's graveyard and vice-versa. If MtG also has a such a rule, it's fine. And if not, I think AI-generated MtG should have that rule to accomodate the AI, just like how I for example also think that in AI-generated MtG, the rule about keywords and explanation text should be reversed to accomodate the AI (if a card has Flying but has the Trample text, it would have the Trample effect but would be affected by Flying (anti-)support rather than Trample) because of the existence of newly created keywords by the AI.
Landfill would be a great name for 'Landfall but for the graveyard'
Amazing
Yxorro is a human wizard and a sentient temple, and if he gathers too much power he will become a Planeswalker and abandon your cause. I love him.
Great flavor
55:06, Don't forget that the My Little Pony cards allow you to use actual toys as token cards! If you accidentally do so, than you can't use this Companion!
Wurm Slasha's Inmerdicance sounds like the type of thing that Yu-Gi-Oh would specifically make for it's anime, like, I can easily imagine a situation where a villain donate it to the protagonist but also something bad happens to the protagonist's friends if he win this way so he'd have to pay the cost each turn anyway.
Then an abridged parody has the villain just scoop anyway
Nah, its pretty balanced in the age of Sheoldred the Apocalypse.
Alternatively, the villain is about to play it, but the protagonist find a way to sneak some untapped Merfolk under their control
Send it to the shadow realm
@@chaosae3143 The abridged series by little kuriboh so goddamn funny
That companion that requires your starting deck to only contain cards might eliminate any cards that require coinflips or dice rolls and it disqualifies any proxies cuz those aren't cards they are usually just paper printouts
Enter the dungeon/ take the initiative, monarch, Planeswalker emblems?
Kamito Yrank: You put opposing Wastelands, Maze of Ith, Tabernacle, Valakut, you name it that another player sacced into YOUR graveyard, exchanging ownership. Then you loam those lands into YOUR hand. That effect is hyper busted
Also it says may, so you can just exit your opponents lands in their graveyard and keep them exiled.
"Then you loam those lands into YOUR hand."
Well, I hate to tell you, but while you can poach their lands due to Kamito Yrank being silver border, attempting to move them to your hand will trigger the rule that says opponents' things put into your hand go to their hand instead.
The first card says exile a land from any graveyard, then that land goes into your graveyard. So you exile your opponents lands and can use land recursion to bring them back since they are now in your graveyard
Flavour on Reckless Light checks out. There are cards that make Goat tokens, and "the merchant of truth" is a player who doesn’t have tokens.
shrieking commander can't be your commander complete flavour fail -10/10
Stolen valor
6:13 normally you control at least yourself, so this card would only work if you were mindslavered and had this on the battlefield. So it's like a 1v1 sideboard card against Mindslaver to make them discard cards when they mindslaver you. And in multiplayer it would just end up hurting a third party because the mindslaver player gets to choose "target opponent".
Shrieking Commander looks like he really wants to catch Flint Lockwood
26:10 There is ONE: “Fabled Path of Searo Point; Legendary Land - Mountain; {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}, {T}: Creatures you control gain landwalk until end of turn.” And it is legal NOWHERE, because it’s a Secret Lair exclusive card. So it’s not actually a real card pretty much
That's not from a secret lair, it's a Heroes of the Realm card, which are exclusive cards given to WotC employees to celebrate their teams' accomplishments that year.
What if Nikachu himself an A.I. 🤔
Tbh Yxorro was almost really cool, it makes me think of a set where creatures put counters on artifacts which the artifacts need to function, then they buff the creatures in return. Especially calling them "oil counters", gives the vibe of scrapyard weaponry being built and repaired on the battlefield. If only Yxorro's second ability didn't just delete itself lol
5/5 relish... ok then
Blind Outcurse: *chilling*
"Champion a Creature" creatures: "My time has come".
The Boros made life a moment of goats.
The fleshes have been reached
They took control of all the clocks and declared that a every lifetime is a moment. They also filled the entire world with goats so all if life is just constantly goats, everywhere and your lifespan is a moment.
the perfect way to activate cards from the new ixalan set, replacing lands in graveyard
The funny part is, Akroma gains power from friends, but also makes non token creatures, which includes itself, deal damage based on toughness instead. So you would have to copy it in order for the power gain to actually do anything.
And it's legendary, making copying it a struggle
Second half of this video:
(20:45) Narset Advocate: Fair, ship. "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me dog?" :P
(31:30) Blind Outcurse: OP, word salad, shred. It stares into your soul. Also, this card doesn't do anything to prevent damage, so the middle part cannot work. To win with the last effect, you'd need to do something like have three of your creatures exiled ahead of time by something else that keeps them exiled until it leaves the battlefield, such as... Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward. That guy would work great for this.
(35:10) Disan Kother: Word salad, shred. Wurm, Slasha's Inmerdicance: OP, shred. But, you'll never get to the land side unless maybe you use Moonmist on Disan Kother, since he is a human. So yeah, Disan Kother + Moonmist = Win. Oh, and if you're allowed to just play the land side directly... Super duper OP!!! IT DANGER!!!
(37:19) Mask of Protectiotion: Dragon: Fair, word salad, ship. Of course the creature is a creature, silly. But, the "still a land" part is even more silly.
(39:10) Whirler Advisor: Maybe OP, word salad, ship then ban later if Swomedgabber turns out to be too powerful of a keyword for it in the future. Also, the X in its mana cost isn't used for anything... unless the Swomedgabber keyword does something with X...
(40:43) Yxorro, Heartwood Temple: Fair, word salad, ship. Well, it's got some niche oil counter support if you're running green spells and artifacts that use oil counters. Also, if you give this thing too many +1/+1 counters, it'll likely die due to being a planeswalker with no loyalty counters.
(42:09) Gods' Guile: Word salad, shred. geeeeeettt dunkeon! :P
(44:16) Halamar, Firedragen: Underpowered, word salad, ship. Way too pricy for what it does, but at least you can make cards in graveyards lose the game, which is funny.
(46:23) Annixi, Red Oracle: OP, word salad with relish, shred and put on a hot dog. Once again, the X in the mana cost isn't used for anything. And, I really relish its toughness. Ignoring those things, it's a 5/5 menace creature for 3 mana that makes your opponent discard when it hits, which sounds a wee bit pushed.
(48:38) Ori: Way underpowered, ship then never play it. Everything makes sense, except it's a 0/0 creature that would die instantly without an anthem effect. If I could change it, I think I'd make it a 4/4 since it has a couple of downsides. Yeah, a 4/4 with haste for 2 mana would be pushed. However, it must attack if able, but it can only do so if the opponent has any artifacts.
(50:31) Tieffling Bgannuy: Word salad, shred. I'm as confused as that bunny in the art is when trying to read this mess.
(51:47) Scion of the Mists: Fair, ship. That guy is like "WHOOOAAARRRGGG!!!" when you sacrifice something, and can take it out on your opponent's stuff by weakening them.
(53:11) Strah Sage Naga: Word salad, shred. Awesome art, at least. And, you'd better obey the fish god, or it'll destroy your but. :P
(54:28) Magma Killer: Fair, maybe OP, ship then ban later. This guy be jammin'. And of course your starting deck will contain only cards... right?
(55:46) Ooh, no sleeves allowed? Better play with only your bulk bin cards then. Don't want to ruin your super valuable Jeweled Lotus and such.
(56:30) Akroma, Celestial Imp: Word salad, shred. It was almost doable, but then it had to swunce that damage. Also, my Steam friends alone would make this a 290/2 that can hit for just 2 damage in combat. Yay. (Of course, cards like Fling do exist...)
(59:08) Stensia Agent: Fair, ship. This is certainly doable, and potentially good with the right setup. Maybe use something like Demonic Consultation to exile a chunk of your library at once first, then use some looting effects to flood the board with kitties! Meow!
The biggest number I know of is TREE(3).
Overgrown would be really cool if it was like, 8 mana or something
54:36
Yep, you can have your starting deck with only cards. No sleeves :) ok somebody else thought of that lol
Wait a minute… Kamito Yrank goes perfectly in my azorius exile deck. Stonebinder Familiar gets triggered every turn
EDIT: Sun-Hearth combos with All Will Be One
I feel like wurm could be a great piece if it was an enchantment with a cumulative upkeep of 1 black mana that said "at the beginning of your upkeep you win the game unless an opponent pays 1 generic"
55:30 Magma killer can’t be used in decks with proxies
Kamito Yrank would be one of the few ways to be able to alter the state/order of your graveyard in legacy/vintage
Apparently the soils of Urza is sentient and also had a stroke mid sentence.😅
16:16 But what lands do you know of which are non-land lands?
Kamito Yank is busted. You can exile your opponent lands from their graveyard.
Don't know if you are legally allowed to put them into your graveyard with this effect but even if you can't then you just don't apply the 2nd effect and keep the land exiled
You are, but only because Kamito Yrank is silver border.
Couldn't Blind Outcurse be comboed with that one spell that prevents everything from being exiled?
Nikachu that reckless light would be crazy in my White Soldier Myrel+Mondrak deck!
I like how everyone just ignores the fact that Blind Outcurse is completely BUSTED, a 2 mana exile based wrath for 3 card types in red. Instead they just try to use shenanigans to get the win condition
Not to mention I posted the actual solution to how to win the game with it in the chat and it didn't get noticed. 😂 (I was the user who generated that card.)
Yeah I would think it really only works with an enchantment that prevents creatures from being exiled somehow. But no card actually exists. I suppose it can't exist given replacement effects like Leyline of the Void. At that point, creatures just can't die and state-based effects of creatures dying are perpetually stuck?
Lumbering Battlement + Blind Outcurse: instant win
It's symmetrical so it's fair LOL
@@wojtektaracinski7977 Yup, this is the answer. Glorious Protector or three Hostage Takers will also win the game this way. It needs to be something that exiles creatures "until" it leaves the battlefield, as the one-shot effect that returns the exiled creatures will work during the resolution of a spell, whereas triggered abilities (like Fiend Hunter) will not.
The way Blind Outcurse is worded, if you have 3 creatures when it begins resolving you will trigger the win condition. Because it doesn't specify the check happens after the board wipe, it happens at the same time.
Kaya's Ghostform brings creatures back after they got exiled. That way you can keep 3 creatures after all have been exiled.
You got a great vibe man. This was fun.
Kamito Yrank is not doable since it lets you exile from your opponents gy and put it into your own.
this
I think rules says that in this case it goes to opponent's graveyard anyway?
@@wojtektaracinski7977 my understanding of it. You can’t have opponents cards in your hand, deck, or graveyard, which is why when you take control of their cards, it’s either put directly into play or exiled first.
It is doable, because it's silver border.
"Mask of Protectiotion: Dragon"'s "if it's a creature" is completely pointless; even without that, the other player would have the opportunity to put something on the stack, and if the target is no longer valid by the time MoP:D resolved, it would fizzle anyway.
"Look ma, I found my spark!" Becomes a planeswalker and dies.
"Flash and flying is unusual to see on a black creature"
My brother in christ, we literally had that in the most recent set
I guess that's where the AI got the idea!
23:39 that reminds me of something funny
so, in one of the expansions for the online ccg plants vs zombies: heroes, there was a card that had a mistake in its description.
here’s what it was supposed to say (keywords are in _italics_ so you know the difference): “When played: _Freeze_ all plants in water lanes. _Pirate Evolution:_ Instead, _Freeze_ all plants.”
here’s what it said on release: “When played: _Freeze_ all plants in water lanes. _Pirate Evolution:_ Instead”
so for a good while there “Instead” was an inside joke in the pvz:h community and that card reminds me of it lol
Blind Outcurse is broken beyond belief... forget the things after the exile effect. A sorcery for two mana and exile all crits, artifacts and planeswalkers? Busted! That would go in every control deck for sure.
Shoutout to Steve Cooper on the Goldening. X is roman for 10 xDDDD I love that thought process way more than I should
I actually think yxorro has some super cool flavor implied. If they absorb too much power (+1/+1 counters), they awaken, but the Planeswalker spark ends up killing them because they can't contain it or something.
Harvest Revenant is only companion for a commander with the eminence ability that your maximum hand size is 11. Assuming one of those prints alongside this that would work.
Sun hearth death of war goes off with the planeswalker sword that gives +1/+1 for each counter on it
34:30 there is literally no way to do this. Anything that stores creatures in exile would trigger to bring them back to the board only after the entire effect of this card has already happened. Triggers can't happen while a card is still resolving.
"Whenever a land card is put into a graveyard from anywhere, you may"
Blind Outcurse could be pretty neat if it was just the destruction and win condition. Needs to have a higher cost, but the idea of having some sort of combo that leaves you with three or more creatures living afterwards seems neat to me. Might have to be adjusted. I don't know.
Halamar would honestly be a legit card if it said: "Cards in graveyards lose all card types for as long as you control Halamar, Firegragen."
for the fungus counter double, thief of blood effects, anything that just takes every type of counter from every card and turns it into something, in thief of blood's case, +1/+1 counters
Is no one going to mention the traffic cone on Kamito Yranks head? I want it printed just for that.
For harvest revenant I can only think it might be possible to meet the companion requirement with a vanguard card that increases your hand size by 4 but the biggest I found only increases it by 3.
There is card called Eleven, the mage. From secret layer
@@oleskovalenko814 That only applies while he's on the field tho. Not at the start of the game.
5:00 Overgrown combos hard AF with Vedalken Orrery and Dragonlord Dramoka
I need a 4WUBR Legendary Creature Elder named "Merchant of the Truth" That says
"You may cast creatures from your grave yard by paying X life in addition to paying their mana costs. Where X is equal to their mana cost. When that creature would die exile it instead"
"When a creature you control would leave the battlefield and go anywhere other then the graveyard. Gain 2 life"
The perfect combo between blink and recursion. Everything thoes colors love to do.
For Sun-hearth, some card require removing counters to trigger abilities. Usually they are specific like +1 or -1 counters, but some just say remove a counter from a permenant. Sun heart is a fast way to build useless counters to be sold off. It's like Krenko, mob boss for counters.
Simplier synergy with "All will be one"
Actually that creature that would Excel a land from a graveyard then return it, does actually have some practical applications. As being able to Exile lands players might have targeted to add back to hand or put on to the battlefield are no longer the same target so couldn't be added or put on to the battlefield.
Good example what's that one land that has dredge on it, they activate to replace a draw and you Exile it. They they can't activate it again for that draw.
Sun hearth death of war is really good with All Will Be One
Blind Outcurse can make you win if you're using Faceless Butcher or other creatures that do the same. Heck, use a few "Champion a creature" dudes...
Mage of Farmond doesn't work. When it transforms it doesn't leave and reenter the battlefield, so you'll never get that etb trigger.
Sporogenesis creates a saproling per fungus counter on creatures that die‚ which would make that one Merfolk wizard create bazillions of them.
First card - the origin of "To the Yrank!" meme
the way I see "Torrent Swinger" if we're taking it literally as controlling a player, it would only trigger if another player has taken control of your turn, as you are currently not in control of any player including yourself, which is a funny anti-mindslaver tech that honestly is fair being such a specific thing to counter. If we take it was creature, the only way to ever trigger the card is to remove the creature type from it
Also I'm amazed how close that double faced card was to being totally legal, you'd think with such a relatively complex card type it would make more mistakes
Kamito Yrank allows you to put creature lands like dryad arbor on top of the graveyard pile for effects such as shallow grave
Shrinking commander is worded to mitigate against multiple copies. Because it's not legendary if an opponent kills one, at least one of the other copies would have to be sacrificed. At least that's how I see it to make it work as written.
when Shrieking Commander leaves, if you have any other shrieking commanders, their ability triggers, making you sacrifice them.
Harvest Revenant 26:37 - a Companion that can only be used if you are playing a strange format where your max hand size is set to eleven. (Vanguard was a variant that had Avatars that could alter your hand size. I don't think +4 was among them, but perhaps if you were allowing multiple Avatars or something)
Would the first card increase gravestorm count, or does that only trigger when permanents enter the graveyard from the battlefield?
you'd think that first one sucks
BUT
you can use it to yoink lands from opponent's graveyard
Titania, Voice of Gaea heals 2 life per land that enters the graveyard
The god of the cats - a commander who has eminence - cats you control has +1+1 - making ori playable
Kamito would be BONKERS in Thalirog, especially if you get solo Gitrog into play. Lands entering graveyard to draw, and then you play your classic spread of lands-from-graveyard effects like Ancient Greenwarden, Ramunap Excavator, Crucible of Worlds, etc. Steal a land out of anyone's graveyard, get your own graveyard triggers from it, then play it to the battlefield directly from your graveyard. It'd be sicknasty frfr.
That is of course, assuming you could rule the card as written. It can put opponent's owned lands into your graveyard because it's silver border, the only issue would be that it's silver border lmao.
Krosan Pharaoh would never get it's ETB. "Transform" doesn't cause the permanent to leave the battlefield innately (many cards say "exile this, then return this to the battlefield transformed", but otherwise, it doesn't leave or enter the battlefield)
54:48
Darn it! I was gonna sneak a packet of mayonnaise in my starting deck!
with crucible of Worlds you can steal your opponents fetch lands by removing it from their graveyard and putt it into yours
Big baller shock caller
Reckless light synergizes with the Goldening with all those treasure tokens
Now I'm wondering if there could be like an entire forest that sparked so it's a Forest Planeswalker that can tap for green and also use loyalty abilities
Wrenn was a tree planeswalker, right?
The creature that lets you pay 2 (without tapping it) to make a 2/2 is nuts! Lol
God’s Guile must be a divine card because it is beyond human comprehension.
That would be interesting to have a land that turned into a planeswalker. Like Ego from marvel
Sun-Hearth, Death of War + Sporogenesis could rack up a lot of Saprolings that way just need to be abel to sac it or get it destroyed. Build a R/G Saproling deck with like doubling seasons etc.
"The highest number I know is a googol." A googolplex is 10^googol.
Paying the {1} would be such a power move
If it's a spirit untap so it potentially does 20 damage right? For pilgrims harvest
The only way to make Blind Outcurse is some enchantment with static effect like "if you have more 4 or more creatures, this card is not a creature"
Kamito Yrank i essentially the graveyard version of ruin Ghost. and yes, there are a few cards that care about lands entering the graveyard. and cards that care about cards leaving the graveyard too.
Overgrown would work great if you had a creature or enchantment that pulled cards from your graveyard to the battlefield every turn.
1st card makes perfect sense although i have no idea what Kamito Yrank is. Destroy your enemies lands first then steal them.
8:10 Change it to "players can't cast spells during their next turn" And the card works.
Maybe Torrent Swinger only works if you have been mindslaveres and there for your opponent controls your turn, there for you control no one?
9:10 the goldening: choose target to initialize the stack and triggers
one thing I can see with the first one is, cards that lets you return a land/card from yout graveyard to yur hand, land destruction or something.
Yrank can stop your opponent looping fetch lands on a landfall strategy
The torrent swinger just means if your opponent has it and you mindslaver them you can’t use the trigger at end step because you’re controlling them on their turn
Effects that say exile such and such until cardname leave the battle field, it would work because the creatures would come back immediately, a card like "Glorious Protector" would work. 34:14
Doesn't reminder text overwrite the keyword it's describing if they don't match? So Mistsibitably is able to sacrifice itself to choose a planeswalker and pay 3.
Sun-Hearth, Death of War, combined with Reckless Light and Sporogenesis from Urza's Saga *SOMEHOW* actually forms a decent synergy!
Tap Sun-Hearth a few times to exponentially gain Fungus Counters, Play Sporogenesis and destroy Sun-Hearth. This creates a number of 1/1 Saproling tokens equal to the number of fungus counters on Sun-Hearth, then play Reckless Light
it's not... good, but its a functional combo!
Kamito Yrank can trigger descend pretty well
Also for the zombie generating Goblin, Skirk Prospector + Putrid Goblin + First Day of Class is a pretty cheap infinite mana trick for rakdos goblins
11:38 Missed the proliferate rules text: "choose any number of puthilith or planeswalker and pay 3."
32:38 Lovely how the controller of the damage can pay all that mana for no reason...
