@SwagLikeOhio1803 It's always the people who failed algebra 1 who think they're geniuses. Hey, it has nothing to do with the amount of time he puts into it, and it certainly doesn't come down to an hourly rate. The video was talking about Pat leaving the NFL to pursue media. Both of these careers, working in football or in media, require your whole commitment. It is not a question of when you are able to clock out. He left his NFL career to pursue media which led to him signing a more lucrative contract than any punter has ever signed in the league. The highest paid NFL punter right now is making about $3.7M per year on a $14.7M contract. Pat will make an average of $17M per year on his $85M contract. Do you think he works as hard now as he did as an athlete? I think it's an apples to oranges comparison, but looking at the money, it's obvious he's making more in media.
I normally wouldn't reply at all but I haven't seen such brazen, confident stupidity directed right at me in a long time. Love the self-proclaimed "intellectual" bit. This is like bad trolling straight out of 2007 forums.

How do we not have a Punter Rating that takes into account how many yards remaining? Like if you have a conservative coach that punts from the 40, you're not gonna have many yards. And if your offense stinks and you're punting from the 30 all the time, that's plenty of space to boom punts in to.

I suppose its similar to people in the military, you get used to the routine of it all and when the routine is broken and gone...life feels...weird; what do you do now? all you have known is football, whats next, where do you go? Pat had an idea of what he wanted to do that was greater than punting and playing; and no longer needing to possibly hurt his knee probably did it.

A bit overdone but fun to watch! He was a character and a cent to good punter with the occasional flash of great. Like most punters. However, his grit, personality and tackling made him stand out.

You forgot to bring up the fact that the Indy Special Teams was probably one of the worst in history during this stretch. The amount that went into the end zone

What? Nothing about the season of the onside kick?? Oh well.
Anyway, to hear Pat talk about it now, it sounds like his unorthodox kicking style was completely blowing up his knee and, even if he didn't have interests off the field, he wouldn't have been able to hold up much longer at the rate he was going.

You didn't even touch on his extra duty of kickoffs... And didn't he have a record for onside kicks?

Bid this video was made in August 2023 AND you're not sure if his show will take off????? Before he joined ESPN, the year before he got $129 MILLION. ESPN is without a doubt paying him more... That's quarterback and receiver money. PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME

Pat said later he left basically because of conflict with the GM (Grigson). He was all but forced out. Indy has always loved Pat and always will...Grigson, not so much.

I’m sorry but doesn’t pat have lebron money now after the draft kings deal I could be wrong but he has to be worth more than any other nfl punter combined. He’s also funny as hell

4:29 C’mon man lol there was no need to bring that up, I was vibing out and enjoying the video… but then you *immediately* brought my mood down mid video just by mentioning that. (Lol It’s a painful subject for us Colts fans)
    Edit: 9:16 *sigh*
