Why do people hate esfps so much? As a Esfp myself , what am I supposed to say to those people people think so badly of us? All I can do is be the best esfp I can be, but I cannot change my own type. Sorry people. GET OVER YOUR HATE OF ESFPS, Seriously! Although we may not be a rare type , we seem to be one of the most misunderstood and overlooked. People seem to think they're unintelligent, airheads, uncerebral, stupid, among everything else. Meanwhile, overlooking the fact that the esfp sees things about that same type that is ridiculing them that is just as discusting . All the 16 types have their own flaws , people. There is absolutely NO ONE that is exempt or better that the other. So maybe instead of people hating on esfps, maybe they should try to understand them instead. That is why I am grateful for this lecture.

hey Joseph, we appreciate your efforts to make this world a better place by teaching people how to understand each other as i do believe that the reason of all wars is that we misunderstand each other, you have no idea how hard my life was as an INTJ 5w4 , i have never understood people and they never understood me before i learned this theory from you, i have always thought that there is something wrong with me because everyone was struggling to deal with me, i learned how people minds operate in less then 15 months thanks to you, my life changed to the better and i become a much better person as a result of this theory, there are no words to express my gratitude to you, but all i can say best luck to you and i will always be a supporter of you.

I can say you're not the first INTJ who has chosen that path. I'm also an INTJ, and this theory not only helps me (to help others too), but it has given me some charisma, despite only studying this for 8 months. I'm less awkward, and I have a new found strength I didn't think I'd ever get. The INTJ does have a good place in society.

You are reading my mind. I always ask "How do you know that?"😂❤. When I was a teenager, I just wanted to live in the moment and was extremely sensitive and would read cliff notes instead of reading a book till I had to read The Odyssey in college. Then I wanted to to really read. I have been tempted to use someone else's term paper as my own because I got overwhelmed with anxiety about writing a term paper on something I wasn't interested in like a car company for my marketing class. I didn't follow thru with it because I was paranoid with my INTJ subconscious about getting in trouble for plagiarism. I remember taking a shamrock pin that made sounds at a stole without telling my parents till they saw me playing with it on my way out of the store. I don't remember if they got really mad but I remember my parents returning it to the cashier. My brother is an ESTP and he stole from me. My last boyfriend was an ISTP who stole from me.

    @dolfdervish8495 Před 4 lety +2

    Moral of the story:
"Instead of biting from others, *learn* from others."
    And, as the axiom goes:
"A smart person learns from their own mistakes. A wise person learns from other people's mistakes."
"Learn to connect the dots between 'how's' & 'why's,' &, conduct your own style."
    *"DISCIPLINE."*
    Powerful episode, Chase.
    Tapped into your inner DJBP.
    😏
    Edit:
After having watched, I haven't been able to ignore my gears.
    Just some thoughts:
Considering we have likely all observed an esfp exhibiting the behaviors you mentioned..
I found myself asking these questions (and thinking about them *deeply,* for years):
Why would an esfp be depressed?
    Why would they perform?
    What is their Gift?
Do their functions play any part in discovering/utilizing their Gift?
How do they behave when they feel that Gift isn't valued?
    Why?
    You mentioned:
"Everyone knows, but, doesn't want to say it because it will hurt their feelings."
"You're the only one who doesn't know they know."
    (Paraphrasing)
    Hm.
    Let's unpack that...
I can see them being deeply hurt by discovering that "everyone" feels that way.. And, instead of respecting the esfp's need for Fi Parent Authenticity and Te Child IS-ness, they inauthentically mirrored the esfp's "part" & play(ed) along the whole time...
I've actually experienced that in real time.
    Anyhow...
Since they are intj aspiring, are you *sure* the esfp doesn't intuit this?
    Since they have Fi Parent...
Are you *sure* they would be fine with exploiting others *for their OWN* entertainment?
Last, are you sure there isn't/aren't some trauma(s) (&/or blindspots from within the experience of said trauma(s)) driven biases within this particular portion of your assessment (which you may do well to process & heal from)?
To be clear, I'm not criticizing you/your assessment. In fact, with Respect to EMPOWERING the esfp to be the BEST version if themselves, I found this video full of diamond studded platinum nuggets.
I'm merely drawing attention to one commonly overlooked aspect of it/them...
    A critical aspect, in fact.
    And, who knows?
Maybe there's an opportunity for growth there for you too?
    #WinWinWin

As an ESFP, I'm very afraid of failure, to an almost crippling degree. I don't know if its about "wanting the wrong thing" (at least now I dont think it is), but I just doubt my abilities a lot. I have ADHD so I'm very forgetful, and my attention span is shit (and as a result I'm very clumsy and people see me as stupid or ineffective in certain situations). I've been reading philosophy and psychology since I was 17. I find it very interesting and valuable but I still seem to be unable to get over my insecurity & fear.

Ok ... here's my thinking. Supposedly Ti is about deductive reasoning and logic. Where is the difficulty in that? I have Ti Trickster as an ENFP but I don't think that I'm oblivious to deductive reasoning or logic. I have taken Logic courses in College for my Philosophy major and passed with great grades. I also did well in math most of the times and even Pascal Programming and other computer courses like C Programming. So how is Ti Trickster to be understood for me? I am struggling to understand the validity of the Trickster interpretation because I see logic as being so self evident that it's a no brainer!

I'm ISFP and i can be pretty clumsy. I attribute that to not having developed Se enough. (Unless i'm not actually ISFP which is a posibility). Something tells me though coordination in sport etc might also have something to with thinking functions - e.g. logicaly thinking of the best move, not just reacting in the moment. Same for remembering dance moves etc. ESFP and ISFP both have some some weaknesses with thinking functions (Ti trickster, Te inferior etc). I tend to think XSTPs are the most naturally gifted at sports etc. But that XSFPs can become good with practice and so can many other types (if not all)

@@CSJoseph Psychological Types and AION were your only books by Jung listed? Really? Those are a few of his densest books, especially AION which delves deep into alchemical symbolism, which isn’t going to mean ANYTHING without having read some of the basics such as Man & His Symbols or The Undiscovered Self.

Fellow ESFP here who has been reading psychology since 17. Read Man & His Symbols for a very extensive yet most introductory summary of Jungian ideas, and then Inner Work by Robert A Johnson for a more practical focus. Also I found reading philosophy (I used to be really into Friedrich Nietzsche) to give me a clearer understanding of life and the human condition. For that I would check out Bertrand Russells “A History of Western Philosophy”. I’ve also been really into reading about Buddhist philosophy & psychology these days, and I feel like its something that most ESFP’s will resonate with. “The Way Of Zen” by alan watts is pretty amazing.

I love your content. It continues to perplex me though, how you still believe the Bible is based in reality. I am also Ex-Mormon (was born into it) and can prove beyond doubt that Christianity is just myth created by man.

I never said or claimed that the Bible is based in reality. Stop putting words in my mouth.

C.S. Joseph Sorry if I made an incorrect observation (and please let me know if I have). However, based on the number of times you reference specific verses from the Bible as if they hold some real authority leads me to that conclusion. If you review my comment, I didn’t actually put any words in your mouth, and you didn’t deny my conclusion either.

I have used many other sources and quotes, check out my IG. Many of which have nothing to do with the Bible.
