Nice job Kiwi. Apart from Mazda themselves, the early 4 rotors were developed in England 30+ odd years ago when 350-400hp was a street version and 650hp was the race version. A supercharged version was also produced. Programmable injection wasn't around at that stage too much and so carbs were the go. Haven't times changed. I bet anyone involved from back in those early days would be very impressed with this version.
Now put this engine in a lightened Miata.

I had a similar idea of building a 4 rotors engine into a 99 honda prelude rear wheel drive conversion using twin turbos!! but time was not on my side. I travel too much xp anyway this is a beautiful engine and you did an awesome job!!

That't the most terrifying starter I've heard in a while.
That's one of the best things about Rotary motors, with a custom eccentric shaft you can literally stack them together in any number that you want.

Thanks I honestly know nothing about rotary engines other than they went into rx7's but that was a really cool fact. 900hp on a NA motor, that's F'ing impressive.

I love this sound/swap. I wish Mercedes Benz would make an SL series sports car with the M950f/20b or M950f/26b to sound just like this. Sad part the Wankel Project of Mercedes-Benz was cut short :(
